Yeah. Might have to get it again since I've been having stomach pains all year.
The prep is worse than the colonoscopy itself. You have to spend the whole day prior drinking some special goyslop concoction that makes you shit nonstop. So you just drink and shit all day so your gut is perfectly clean for the procedure.

as someone with crippling anxiety towards anesthesia, I hate hearing this fricking line.

The anesthesia is fun. One second you taste metal in your mouth. The next you are out. The second after that you are waking up and the procedure is over.

I was knocked out like that as a kid once and it has scared me ever since

It’s only scary because you let it be, if you stop repeating to yourself the sentence you just typed out to me, eventually you will stop believing it too. But if you keep repeating it you will never overcome your problem.

Friends I've been having stomach problems lately and I'm really worried doctors are gonna stick tubes up my ass, dick, or throat.

Its not just tubes, brotha, these tube also pump air inside your intestines to make it more visible, so you end up having cramps afterwards cause your entire gut has been filled up with air which you will fart out the whole day

Maybe because he's bullshitting you, kek.

Honestly, though, the operation is super easy and there's nothing to be afraid of. You are a homosexual if you think of something homosexual about a routine medical operation.

yeah, take mirolax an entire bottle with like 5 gallons of gatorade/water mix.
not fun, but you feel clean afterwords.

I started this year with one. It was a super easy operation after all.

The preparation was also quite easy, as you can eat white rice, chicken and eggs, so basically fit food anyway. The last day before the examination you can't eat anything solid, but it's easy to just either fast, or drink what is basically a protein drink with other shit in it (available from drug store, wasn't expensive, tasted good).

And then the shitting non stop: it's only like 8 hours before the examination. If you can take the day off work, it's super easy. I played some video games and kept drinking the solution, and took a water dump every hour. I use the bidet shower so it didn't matter at all.

Without the bidet shower my butthole would probably never forgive me, though.

Also why I went through it: it looked like there was something strange in the gut in an MRI image about my lower back region, so I had to double check everything was ok. And it was.

No, I’m not a homosexual. I’d rather die of prostate cancer in my 50s than have someone root around in my ass like I’m from San Francisco. If I somehow manage to get ass cancer I fricking deserve it

My colonoscopy was performed by 2 cute girls, one of them looked about early 30s, and another was a young intern. I say it counts as sex.

I'm gonna take one soon, is it good or useless if i already took a stool test, abdominal ultrasound and ct scan?

I have Steatorrhea without anything showing on blood work or intolerance (tried no gluten/lactose for a while)

Yes, I have a history of rectal bleeding (turned out to be internal 'roids) and had some lower-right gut pain, so I had my first one fairly early (mid-30s). At my last physical the doctor said "why so early?" and I explained the above. It's the type of thing people usually start doing in their 40s and 50s if they want to not die and are serious about preventive maintenance/don't have the psychological hang-up over the procedure on display in this thread (I would imagine black men especially hate the idea of it, and I don't blame them). I myself deferred it for like two years because, well, setting it up is a pain in the ass which requires precise scheduling (this is the actual worst part). Once I started looking into the prep it turned out to be much more complicated than I initially expected (you have to have someone drive you, precise schedule on how to blow out your colon, take this at exactly this-and-that time).

Once I actually committed, mine went great. I was totally knocked out, they were done with me in about an hour, and I walked with my parents out to the car, under my own power (although I was pretty loopy). They got six polyps, found no cancer, and verified that the little hole into the appendix was not obstructed, everything I wanted to hear. Since there were so many polyps they want me to do the next one in 18 months or so.

Yes. They found a polyp but biopsied it and it was benign. What they don't tell you is that about 3 days after the surgery, you will most likely have a shit that looks like some cut the last 5 feet of your intestines out.
Literally thought I was dying lol

You probably lost a big biofilm for some reason

This didn’t happen to me and I’ve had two colonoscopies now.

Had one done in early 20s due to rectal bleeding. Turns out it was called by internal rhoids. Was not fully unconscious before they shoved the scope up my ass, which hurt like a mfer but then passed out. Overall it wasn't bad and I plan on doing it again for cancer screening.

Since then I have learned to do a hard kegel before each squat or deadlift rep and for now it has prevented any rectal bleeding from the rhoid flare ups.

      Anonymous

Sounds like b***h shit. Had hemorrhoids my entire time in the army and just dealt with it. Now they come and go when I lift, but haven’t bled in a few years. You don’t need a fricking colonoscopy for rhoids. And unless the blood is dark red or even black it’s all but guaranteed that’s what the cause is. Your doctor sounds like a moron

Yes i get one a year due to some cancer causing medication. I also have a ridiculously long colon so they spend fricking forever raping me as they try to get all the way around.

always refuse sedation though as being a bit knocked out would make me feel way more abused

no. its just another way for sociopathic degree holders to DEFILE your sacred body and charge you inordinate sums in the process.
