have you taken the hardlabourpill yet? Posted on May 10, 2023 by Anonymous have you taken the hardlabourpill yet?
Stealing bikes is not work Tyrone
blacks literally built you country cletus
>everything is made out of Southern gnomish 1%rs cotton!!
>imports millions of african slaves to america
>they did nothing bro
what was the point then?
They worked for mostly gnomish equivalent of what was then the 1%. Have you ever seen a successful black nation? Also slavery has been known to overall weaken nations since at least the time of Socrates. You get addicted to the cheap labor and it hurts innovation. Its part of why the north was able to outclass the south with artillery since that required industry. You fell asleep while reading about that stuff or you just have a gnomish cat lady for a teacher?
>Have you ever seen a successful black nation?
The Caribbean? Lmao you call that successful beyond being a white/gnomish tax haven and vacation destination? Its basically gated areas and slums. Man you bongs (second guess is canadian) are fucking retards. Guess you get your info from tonight shows or something?
Oh and not my fault you get constantly btfo and can't handle it, you're the one that called someone cletus after outright lying.
>Approximately 400,000 to 450,000 enslaved Africans were brought directly to what would become the United States. This number is relatively small compared to the total number of Africans who were taken to other parts of the Americas, such as the Caribbean and South America, where the vast majority of enslaved Africans were transported.
But how did they get enslaved? And who brought them over, who owned the ships? For those who don't know, blacks sold their fellow blacks into slavery. A very small portion were captured by whitey. And most of the slave ships were owned by garden gnomes.
>just looked up the names of slave ships that brought the most over
Gonna name my sons Alexander and Jason, and Polly and Sylvia if daughters
bl*cks are literally destroying everything they come into contact with, all over the world. Utterly useless 'race'.
Cutting down cotton is not the equivalent of designing and building roads and other infrastructure, cities, and machines capable of flying to the other side of the planet. Whites build, blacks destroy. Look at Hatti if you don't believe me, they eat mud cakes there because they can't farm.
Who told you this lie? Why couldn't they build a fucking thing anywhere else in the world?
Name a single thing in America morons built
>Hardmode: you can't use things White people built to mitigate moron fatigue
Uhh cotton? Retard??? Fuck like what even do you think? Cotton comes from sheep? That's wool idiot.
It's only white because they bleach it.
Cotton isn't built sir it is remove from plant
never seen a black iron worker or welder before
>built you country
Fuck off moron nobody wants you here go play in traffic
I’m comfortable with construction workers being stronger than me if it means I never have to do that shit. I don’t foresee a future in which I regularly find myself in strength competitions with landscapers.
until you find your wife cheating on you with the landscaper, then what
Thank him for showing the true side of your wife. Make sure she doesnt get any of your money/posessions etc, find a new, better wife. Reflect what you could have done different so that you wont end up in the same situation again.
>straight to cuck fantasy
>what is aluminum baseball bat
i worked as a laborer for a while, and although my forearms and core became very strong, my life fucking sucked
i don't care how masculine it may seem, destroying your body and working 60 hour weeks for chump change is a fucking terrible existence
not to mention how many trashy inbred subhumans you need to deal with on the job site
enjoy your grip strength bro, your life is shit
Quads of truth. Never worked on a construction site and those are all the reasons why.
No I don't have a job, don't claim any benefits or generate any income, and would sooner die (by suicide) than go back to work.
I wish I could do hard labor but it doesn't pay well or give me the freedom I want.
not to mention destroys your body
Ah yes, hard labour cause you're too dumb to work a comfy WFH job
They do mog lifters in everything but size. But some say size is most important.
You're completely dependent on competent labourers. I really don't understand how so many insult them. I know an architect who fell into construction and doubled his wage and is helping the country much more than the office folk.
>manual labourers always ridicule office folk
>you can't do it back tho
Are you familiar with the concept of punching down and punching up?
Know that if you can’t make fun of a group, it’s because they are perceived as weaker and more disadvantaged.
Just go enjoy your privilege, why get in these fights? You’re better than them. You shouldn’t need to insult them.
>Are you familiar with the concept of punching down and punching up?
>Know that if you can’t make fun of a group, it’s because they are perceived as weaker and more disadvantaged.
That's bullshit. I work in healthcare and I see blacks & latins making fun of Asians but apparently it's racist when they do it back.
I ridicule street sweepers for breakfast
nothing is below me
nothing is above me
Stick your retarded san francisco sloganeering up your stretched out ass right next to your dead gerbil. Freak.
Well, this is a fitness board and apparently people doing hard labour have better muscles. I'm punching up.
>Are you familiar with the concept of punching down and punching up?
Yeah, it means you're only allowed to make fun of people that garden gnomes don't like.
>Are you familiar with the concept of punching down and punching up?
Yes, I believe it's one of the central religious tenants of soifag redditry.
I punch omnidirectional because I am too egotistical to be contained
Today I learned America is the greatest country and whites are the greatest race.
Now, let the cope come in, in 3... 2... 1...
>all the butthurt serf replies
like moths to a flame
Most office work is completely useless. 80% of office jobs could disappear over night and it wouldn’t matter.
This is true. Most of them are grifts created in the 70's to capitalize on the economy boom. Pretty much all unnecessary over head in every large company exists solely in the unskilled office leeches.
as an officecel I wholeheartedly agree with this statement
as an engineer i take comfort in knowing my job is not one of them, infrastructure is not gonna draw itself. but holy fuck there's a fucking boatload of people walking in offices that should've been fired 20 years ago
>implying engineering isn't just pencil pushing with extra google searches
go ahead and google a custom map of a residential area built on land that's been under water for as long as this rock existed up untill a couple hundreds of years ago
don't forget literally every nut, bolt, wire and pipe that's under the ground and make sure the rainwater can infiltrate locally in a densely populated area instead of pushing it to the sea like a fucking mongoloid
without engineers you would still be living in a mudshack like some 3rd worlder
I'm an engineer too anon, its just pencil pushing with extra google searches
>logistics is useless
Yep, of course a tard like you would work manual labor
>No mention on logistics
Yep, of course a coper like you would work desk jockeying.
ah yes, and mowing lawns and raking leaves like a Mexican sure is useful
Are you suggesting lawns shouldn't be mowed and leaves shouldn't be raked? To be fair it would be better for the environment and biodiversity if lawns weren't mowed, just let grow wild.
Schizo neets win again.
shit like this is stupid. some office jobs exist to provide tax breaks, but this is less then 10%. the reason office jobs exist en masse is because we live in an astoundingly wealthy society. those office jobs would not exist if they did not provide value to a company, and that company wouldnt exist if it didnt provide value to someone else. this chain continues for several stages until you end up with abstract ‘bullshit’ like HR, diversity officers, consultancy and compliance jobs. truth is every job outside of farming and building mud huts is fucking useless, but once we humans got these nailed down, we decided we wanted more and the bullshit chain started. as we get wealthier as a society these bullshit jobs are only going to increase in number.
Office jobs exist because the central problem our economy faces is not how to produce enough but how to produce and distribute efficiently. It’s a good problem to have.
That's true anon, they do sling shit at each other. It's gotten hilarious in the UK as a tradesman is now earning more than the vast majority office workers and is usually paid in cash. Social stigma and the fact the job fucking sucks in the winter means there's barely any newblood in construction and a massive surplus of workers in offices so pay reflects that. I'm 26 and get paid £250 cash each day or 320 bank and have never taken out a student loan, or any credit. I put money in gold during lockdown and am doing far, far better than all my old school friends that I've met recently. My wife avoided the uni trap so we've got no debt and are looking to buy a nice house without a loan this year hopefully. Just don't take drugs and keep reading hard literature to avoid all the negatives of construction. The amount of my colleagues who are broke as fuck at 40 because of coke addiction and broken marriages is depressing.
Buying a house in cash at your age is retarded. Get a mortgage then invest the left over cash.
No you are retarded. Pay cash so you don't have to pay an interest rate on a mortgage as well as freeing up more capital monthly to then invest.
Where the interest rate is lower than the rate of inflation your debt is actually decreasing in real terms (i.e, you are technically benefiting from holding debt, and your creditor is missing out because your debt is 'worth less').
Not having debt is good if you're able to instead grow your money more than your debt is depreciating.
Of course, this assumes that the amount of money you make grows proportionately with inflation 😀
You forgot about high interest rates.
Fuck you berg. "get a mortgage oy vey!"
avoiding needless debt is something more people should focus on.
>Buy it from garden gnomes and then invest the rest of your money in garden gnomes.
Probably not a bad idea if you're a garden gnome.
There’s really no substitute to owning your own property free and clear. You can always pull equity out later if you need the cash. But a home IS an investment, and a mortgage saps your ROI for years on end.
Talk shit to your waiter or the guy working on your car and see how that goes for you.
if they talk shit to me I'll talk shit back
they cannot form a single argument where they can convince anyone that it's not called for
learn to read a post you fucking inbred
They wont talk shit back. You will get boogers in your food and your car will break down.
Reading comprehension, get some. You stupid cocksucking pussymouth
I shit talk to my waiter when it's time to pay and never come back. I shit talk to people who work on my car because the dumb moron somehow didn't tighten down the lug nuts from a tire change and my car was making tons of noise. I realized these people are mostly useless low iq fucks just like you just like op
Laborers aren’t stronger than lifters. Take two people who are the same size and age, put one on a construction site daily and one in the gym daily. The gym goes will be stronger, healthier, larger, and be less likely to have a dui after any length of time. Laborers are comparing a 35 year old roofer who has been carrying 100lb packs of shingles up ladders for a decade to 20 year old gym goers who started 9 months ago and then pretending the fact that the laborer has better endurance makes them stronger. It’s simply cope.
I think I'd agree static strength for very short periods is higher in lifters for sure also. So that and size. That's why the people I'm most scared of are brickies who hit the gym at 5am before their shift, they are extremely tough physically & mentally and have ridiculous endurance.
>I know an architect who fell into construction and doubled his wage and is helping the country much more than the office folk.
Gay or esl (gay)
Labourers are completely dependent on office workers. Without their high salaries paying for construction jobs and contributing taxes at much higher rates then dumb labor for public works construction, those guys would be homeless.
I know a labourer who became an architect and quadrupled his salary and doubled his lifts, plus he works in a comfy office and isn't ruining his body under the sun. He contributes so much more to his country now then he ever did as a nameless, easily replaceable labourer.
>I really don't understand how so many insult them
I respect laborers, I hate the smug retards who are proud to be borderline crippled before they hit 50 because they think destroying their bodies by swinging a shovel around all day is more virtuous than any other job
>I don't get why you kids get paid so much for clackan' away at the computer. You should find a REAL job like ME. You'll see what it means to be a REAL MAN when you have to crawl to bed on all fours after a day of HARD WORK!
hard labour won't make you stronger than the gym, it will just slowly wear on your joins and ligaments until you're in constant pain in your 40s and crippled in your 60s
Not a single hardworker wins against me in wrestle or in arm wrestle, not sure what Null is implying here
Unless you train specifically for arm wrestling, you are completely delusional.
How demonstrably different are hard labour muscles compared to gym muscles? Does there exist any proof beyond anecdotal (I actually haven't ever seen any anecdotal evidence of construction guys beating out people who go to gym.)
I have a very hard time believing, outside of grip strength (which is trainable via volume anyway), that people get stronger/as strong muscles working manual labour as someone who lifts in their spare time.
If you are using free weights it probably isn't different. If you only you machines your body probably can't compete.
It depends on what you're doing. Your muscles are going to be trained for that specific thing over time. A gymrat probably isn't going to be able to shovel and move wheelbarrows around all day the way a mulch shoveler can, but a mulch shoveler isn't going to bench like the gymrat either.
absolute bullshit: the post. Gym rats who actually work their entire body can do whatever they want with the strength they've earned.
Use free weights instead of machines
There's really nothing, aside from the fact that it's possible to become incredibly lopsided or underdeveloped through a bad routine. Also, to may just not have experience lifting weird ass shit weird ass ways and then do pretty shitty at that despite being pretty well developed.
The big danger would be to have gym muscles and assume you can handle any awkward heavy object with ease, when you have neither the experience to understand how to lift them or the small coordinating muscles to do it.
There's also something to be said for endurance though. You don't get farmer strength from being at the gym.
>How demonstrably different are hard labour muscles compared to gym muscles?
They're not. At all. Laborers are only better at odd lifts because it's part of the job, and only because the lifter isn't usually doing odd lifts unless they do strongman stuff. If you put a lifter on a construction site they would surpass the laborer after a while. The "muh labor muscles" is a cope from skinnyfat dropouts to feel superior to people amidst a line of work that famously breaks people and leaves them with chronic pain for the rest of their lives. Laborers should also be lifting and focusing on rehab to help offset some of the damages they do to themselves over time, but they can't let go of their pride and actually do it instead of drinking themselves to sleep after they clockout.
>t. anon with 15 years construction experience who also lifts
>How demonstrably different are hard labour muscles compared to gym muscles?
This is false. If anything, laborers have more endurance because most gym-goers aren't pulling an eight hour shift in the weight room, but muh "liftan 100lbs sack of concrete all day lmao pussy" is half bullshit, half lifting with your back and other shit form that'll wreck your shit permanently but "ayy lower your tone because I slave-maxxed". And even if laborers were stronger, their diet of cigarettes, cheap beer, and greasy food mean they're definitely not healthier.
Laborers have endurance and task-specific muscle memory. If you shovel 40 hours a week, you're going to be pretty damn good at shoveling, compared to a guy who handles a shovel twice a year for yard work
The big elephant in the room whenever this discussion comes up that's ignored is the simple question of why not do both. And the truth is either one is too exhausted or stiff the next day to do both with any basic degree of seriousness or proficiency, the exception I've noticed are usually roiders or the very rare genetic specimen that are extremely robust and disciplined.
The guy who said the lifter would mog the laborers at their job neglected to tell you that he will underperform later at the gym and or be too sore to do several shift + lifts end to end without easing up or underperformed on one or the other. I'm not saying you can't do both but both take a lot out of you, and you will more than likely have to make some compromises. There's a reason they aren't comparable on every exact scenario or are often the subject of contention, because both are hard, and to do both is very hard.
You know all that really specific form shit for doing things like deads or overheads as to not obliterate your spine and other parts of your body? Manual labor is literally impossible to do without destroying yourself. The work they have to do, it is physically impossible for them to move the weight they do in a way that isn't doing immediate permanent damage to their joints, tendons, and spine. Their muscles will grow just the same as a strongman trainer might, but the parts that your body can't repair will be broken before any of it matters.
They aren't it's just dyel cope.
They also just get stronger at specific movements they perform regularly, they just have greater variety since they perform them at different or awkward angles and make more use of smaller muscles to balance and stabilize. Some of their strength will translate to weight lifting just like weight lifting will translate to most of their movements that require strength of larger muscle groups.
They're not whatsoever, blue collar workers have this weird superiority complex to cope with the fact that they are destroying their bodies working for pennies meanwhile I'm working from home shitposting on IST IST.
Blue collar workers are generally going to be stronger than casual gymgoers just because they're forced to do physical labor all day which is going to get them better results than people who barely do anything at the gym, but if you're pushing yourself as much as possible at the gym then you're going to look better than hard laborers but without all of the permanent spinal injuries.
>blue collar workers have this weird superiority complex to cope with the fact that they are destroying their bodies working for pennies
it's a technique thing. I can deadlift 405 for reps, but I struggle brining in a 100lb box with odd dimensions into my house, whereas the delivery guy can swing it around. However, that same guy couldn't budge 405. I think if you're stronger on compound lifts with freeweights, you have a greater capacity for "labor" lifts, so to speak, once you figure out how to leverage odd items to lug around.
There's definitely carryover. I had a heavy ass wood planer I moved with after not hitting the gym for 3 years. I couldn't "lift" the damn thing at all, and had to 2 man move it. All I could manage was lifting a hair off the ground and moving it like 8 inches at a time. I'd estimate my DL 1RM at like 200lb at the time. I bought a home gym a month or 2 after moving and hit the fucking gym. Right now my 1RM is 375, and I just sold the damn thing, and it was like a 5 RPE lift this time around. Fuck I could have probably pushed pressed the damn thing.
Bragging about gains from working a shitty manual labour job is max wagie cope.
Manual laborers are all fat slobs, but yes they're pretty strong. Wouldn't call them healthy or aesthetic, but strong yes.
Had a friend who worked in construction. He calls bullshit on this type of attitude, the work is backbreaking and forces you to keep going even when you're gassed out.
Hard labour is a fucking job and since shit needs to get done, they'll be constantly running you to the ground. It's mid-tier in terms of how hard each labor is but the long ass shift is what makes it hard; at that point it is a stamina game and who cares about having that much stamina
However don't be on the other side of the spectrum, IST. You should be able to do your own yardwork and not be completely gassed out after 1hr
What the fuck are hard labour muscles? I worked hard labour for 15 years. It makes your tendons strong and can work your endurance hard but does fuck all for muscles because muscles lose energy quickly so we've invented machines and devices to eliminate needing to use muscles to a large extent. Sounds like lazy fucker cope.
lol I once worked at a construction for a few weeks and I outperformed all the workers and still had energy left, most of them were skinny fat or fat asses, none of them were any close to being any strong than a Zoomer lifting 1/2/3/4
Labour workers have shitty health, peak modern life is a high-paying intellectual job and some sport on the side.
In reality literally everyone would be scrambling to get the electronics back. You can feel the asshurt radiating from the person who drew it.
Yeah, being toned from the gym is just a decoration on top of being skinny. That's an appropriate level of fitness for my job. Obviously I would lose a strength contest with someone whose job is to lift stuff all day.
> being toned
You know someone is dyel when they say terms like "toned" I bet you don't even rep 1234
you know someone is a fat powershitter when they say things like
>You know someone is dyel when they say terms like "toned" I bet you don't even rep 1234
>1/2/3/4 makes you a powerlifter
lol lmao, the absolute state of fit, those numbers are the bare minimum to not being a beginner anymore, you can easily get to that within 1 year of lifting and having the BMI chart still apply to you
You would be correct calling me a dyel, because I don't lift anything heavier than the rubber dumbbells in my HIIT class.
I have a lot of muscle definition because I eat healthy and I exercise a lot. In normal person speak we refer to that as "toned". I'm satisfied with my appearance and my physical fitness.
Having muscle definition is literally 100% down to your body fat content. Lose weight -> reveal muscle through skin.
It has nothing to do with muscle size.
t. have 6 pack at 6'4" 165lb
Not necessarily, skinny people who don't exercise have little muscular definition
Thank you hungry skeleton
>t. have 6 pack at 6'4" 165lb
You are the tallest scariest skeltal I have ever summoned. If you aren't lying about your weight, go kill five villagers for me over there.
How am I supposed to respond to this? By trying to rob manual laborers of their pride? That sounds cruel and pointless. Let them have it.
most of the "manual laborers" I see are fat and out of shape, unless they're in their 20's. Even a lot of the younger ones are fat too
Yeah they get promoted up to static jobs i.e running the crane and keep eating like they used to.
No cunt, they do it because somebody has to or we go to BrownTown
>because somebody has to
Its true that somebody has to but don't act like these people would be doing it for free for the good of civilization. They all do it for personal gains
manual laborers are scum. The moment they heard I had a degree and just did manual labor to switch things up, they turned on me
have a degree* excuse my esl
Well jealousy can be a terrible thing anon. This affects all groups of people, possibly including you if you were in their position. Lots and lots of farmers are the most extraordinarily pleasant people despite being essentially manual labours themselves - not talking about the big massive "farmers" who sold their family's legacy and soul to corporations and don't even go on the farm themselves I'm talking about real farmers, think farmers in poor countries also.
Digits and Crom confirms it
Did roofing in Florida for 8 years and yes I was physically strong with lots of endurance especially working in the heat but now I own a remodeling/mold remediation company and I’m in much better shape since I actually have time for the gym and my strength never faded.
>have you taken the hardlabourpill yet?
No, but the idea that gym muscles don't help with hard labour is retarded, strength is strength and unless you aren't doing free weight compounds in your routine and only do machines or are in contest shape for bodybuilding, your muscle will help alot
The one thing I can say your lack with manual labour if you lift is GPP but you can just add cardio to your routine.
>Made from lifting weights in an air conditioned room with expensive equipment for the sole purpose of looking good naked and crushing pussy
hard labour muscles
>gnarled masses of muscle and sinew made from hauling heavy unbalanced objects for multiple hours a day, for multiple days a week, for decades. Body is essentially destroyed from labour and lack of proper nutrition and rest. Only made enough to cover the cost of doing it all again next month only for the boss who hasn't lifted a single brick to get the lions share
yeah manual labour will probably make your stronger in the long run mainly due to having superiorly developed stabilisers but I can achieve the same superficial effect in a minuscule fraction of the time
>yeah manual labour will probably make your stronger in the long run mainly due to having superiorly developed stabilisers
Using free weights does the same thing
Back when I did hard labor I'd routinely blow every other laborer out of the water just by staying in shape, now that I'm a skilled worker who is more of a craftsman I can still blow our laborers out of the water when I have to. It's easy to outperform guys who eat fast food for lunch and 12 packs of beer for dinner on work nights.
>Back when I did hard labor I'd routinely blow every other laborer
I believe you
Labor muscle is the biggest fucking meme, it's just muscle endurance that is really easy to build over time if you do the task.
The strongest man alive will feel fatigued washing dishes for eight hours, but if he did it for two weeks he would be completely fine, but a dishwasher can't become the strongest man alive in two weeks.
It's just cope.
>muscle endurance is really easy to build over time if you do the task
Well... yes... that's what people are saying.
I don't think I've ever seen a built laborer.
Machines do all the heavy lifting anyways.
Depends on how you work out and what sort of labour you need to do. Yeah I'm sure some fat fuck powerlifter will suffer lifting concrete blocks around all day because his endurance is shit and there's no use for a 350kg deadlift on a site. I've done a mix of bodyweight,.cardio and weight training for years, and also worked some time in construction, and the carryover was decent. Didn't have the grip or forearm strength of the boys who've been hauling shit around for decades, but I could carry blocks and fencing all day and break concrete with a hammer out in the sun for hours.
You don't get gains from most manual labor, there's little resistance and you don't get enough recovery for how much of the day you spend doing stuff
t. Worked construction from age 12-24
80% of this board can't even do a pull up and they still think their gym muscles are impressive.
Post yourself doing 1 complete pull up first.
I think the “IST is full of fat powerlifters who can’t do a pull-up despite their 5pl8 deadlift” meme is overdone. The majority of people here who actually lift are not fat powerlifters. Most lift for aesthetics. Recognizable people here who do powerlifting generally do have impressive stats and almost certainly can do more pull-ups than you at twice your bodyweight with a bench/squat/deadlift double yours.
I'm not even saying it because everyone is a fat powerlifter. I'm saying it because most people literally can't do a pull up, even regular gym goers.
>pullup at twice your bodyweight
Nvm here's the fat powershitter cope. It's called a body weight exercise. I don't care if you're 300 pounds and can bench 600. If you are physically incapable of pulling your own body off the ground with your own arms, unassisted, you're not fit.
>If you are physically incapable of pulling your own body off the ground with your own arms, unassisted, you're not fit.
I think very tall people get a pass, especially if they can easily do a few chin-ups. It's not just the weight, it's the fact that you have to have more torque in your arms since the lever is longer. Brian Shaw can only do 5 pullups and he's not even a powershitter bloatlord but a strongman who's supposed to be fitter.
>Brian Shaw can only do 5 pullups
He can't do a single proper pull up.
The lever argument is cope. Longer lever means more muscle mass means more strength.
Longer leverage means more potential.
It's harder to acquire mass as well as performing the lifts. So yes in the long run it might be better, hypothetically.
Manlet gains speedrunning is a myth too. Smaller digestive system and less working weight with which to make the gains. It's a smaller cup to fill but you're using a smaller hose to do it.
Manlet gains are about aesthetics. It’s about looking good faster because you have to put on far less muscle to fill out your frame than a guy 6+ inches taller than you. I don’t think anyone will argue that manlets are stronger on average.
I just fucking explained this. Less muscle to gain. Less means to gain it with.
Except you’re wrong and retarded. Your muscles won’t look as large proportionally to your body as a manlet with the same amount of time and strength. There is a reason most professional bodybuilders are manlets.
Yes manlets are a little denser and lanklet have more overall volume so you have to be average height to look normal enough to win a beauty pageant. Also you'll be better at bodyweight lifts if you're short or you'll have higher absolute lift numbers if you're tall. No this is not an excuse for a tall guy not to be able to do chinups. No this does not in any way mean that manlets build muscle faster. You are a stupid moron who needs to stop talking.
He's right about shorter guys looking bigger than taller guys with the same numbers.
Same number of what?
I’m not saying most lifters shouldn’t be able to do a pull-up. I’m saying you’re shitting on people stronger than you both in pure strength and by a factor of body weight. Go to /plg/ and I bet most of those guys can do more pull-ups than you despite their huge body weights and they can squat multiple times what you squat.
I can do 20 in a row. If there's any power lifter who can do 21 pull ups, I will suck his dick and I won't even say no homo.
I’ve got no doubt there is at least one on /plg/
i do powerlifting and i can do 20 at 5’10 200 and my coach who’s way stronger than me can do like 30, pull-ups aren’t that hard
People who think doing a pullup is some sort of accomplishment are the biggest copers on here. No one with muscles can't do pullups unless they are 350+ lbs.
What even is hard labor now? I guess roofers work pretty hard, but most of the blue collar jobs in my area are service industry and operating equipment.
>you aren't a real man unless you're working 72+ hours per week doing back-breaking manual labor
Some men take pride in body destroying servitude, I guess they were just born for it.
picrel kind of people have the least braincells in existence
they're literally born to work
and the mandatory NEET response
oh no no wagies we got too cocky
>my life is harder so it means im better than you
argument. Literally everyone who says this are weak men trying to downplay success of others
>Stands up with unbearable knee pain
>wrists cramping from years of built up arthritis
Those gym bros don’t know what real strength is
>motions to muscular forearm while other hand is on low back
Bunch of vain sissies they are
>bottle of ibuprofen shaking as 6 tablets get poured out
military composed by noblemen were( and still is) significantly stronger than someone doing back breaking labor
specifically because hypertrophy works with rest, food and technique
while labor just destroys your bones and joints, stunts growth and makes you weak
peasants vs nomadic warriors all over again
Not a single dipshit here considers just stretching and eating well will make you a beast of a labourer and you'll last decades.
Most of the strong people doing "hard labor" played a lot of sports in highschool and lifted a lot or continue to do so, and it at least maintains their strength from that background. If you have good form from that then you don't get 'broken down' it just is good training for your core and grip and cardio.
I don’t do hard labor because I am rich
Bullshit. I do a hard labor job. For +10 years, and turns out i was weak as fuck until i decided to start lifting.
How quickly did you progress though? You realize expecting 2pl8 bench in 3 months is larp right?
>get in your morning hard labor workout
>eat 3 gas station hot dogs, a bag of hot Cheetos, and two tallboys for lunch, Twinkie and a cig for dessert
>"Hard labor is bad for your body, bro, trust me"
The average white American zoomer would be willing to work construction if it didn’t pay like total dogshit due to the mass import of illegal mexicans. Physical wagies wanna gloat about “kids today can’t do what I do”. They totally can, they just won’t do it for peanuts. Our job market would probably be amazing if we actually enforced the border, restricted immigration, and deported all illegals.
The irony here is that most zoomers are beaners
Tradesmen preferred the status quo of the last few decades where the Master and his Journeyman split all of the profit while paying methheads and wetbacks slave wages as needed. Now the Masters are 70 and the Journeymen are 50 and they wonder where all the young blood is. They assume it's "laziness." However, for the last 30 years they didn't want to let anyone in on their scheme - "We're not hiring, slave wages only."
And that might make you ask, Why didn't the young men start their own businesses? Well through regulatory capture and exponentially increasing barriers to entry, bordering on collusion, established tradesmen made sure it was nearly impossible for any competition to enter the market. They already got all the licensing, they already have the cashflow to by the new equipment to accommodate the new rules and regulations, they already have full schedules plus a steady stream of double rate jobs for emergencies, nights, weekends, and holidays. All they cared about was getting that new F350 Platinum.
Boomies do this in every sector except tech. And it's worse since they had by far the easiest economy to build wealth and act like they had it hard because iPhones didn't exist yet.
Embarrassing cope, lifting would only make manual labor jobs easier. Only thing they'd have over a weight lifter is experience in their shitty job.
If you're under the age of 50 and you ever worked construction, that either means A) you are Mexican and dropped out of highschool, B) you were in and out of country jail for opiate use or C) your dad is a GC.
So why is there an increase of manual labor/tradie jobs posted here?
Because it's "based" and "manly" and of course the eternal "muh functional strength" meme
>mog hard laborers
>"well all that extra muscle and strength is actually useless in the real world! I don't need a gym! Blablabla steroids!"
i took the loweryourtonepill instead and now i get paid to shipost on IST and nap
after tearing it apart, I had to carry a shitload of shingles and plywood to roof my dad's house last year
I even walked the shingles up a ladder
really thankful I worked out that summer, being able to 1/2/3/4 for reps helped me out a lot
all I had to worry about was drinking enough water and keeping the beer cold
but there's no way I'd want to start building strength there while built like a 1/1/1/1 twink
>brace properly when carrying things to avoid injury
>people think I'm struggling to carry it because I'm bracing
a fucking U in "labor". Spare me your thoughts, subject.
i dont know the obsession about "hard" muscles. I like softness, and its even better when your muscles are soft, big, but powerful, they go from 0 to 100.
Be water frens.
If its soft then it's fat, anon. Muscles are hard.
Labor muscles will embarrass themselves when just standing next to gym muscled.
Also, being poor dries pussies, but you already knew that lmao
What tf are hard labour muscles? Fucking retarded moron.
“Hard labor” can superior at building strength to the usual low volume only shit that people do, but mixed weight high volume 8-10 hours straight is not something that most people who lift recreationally can afford to to, and if the laborer never does any high weight, low volume work, he won’t be as good at high weight low volume. I have come to appreciate pushing myself on volume and not weight after doing rehab for a couple of snowmobile accidents, and if you have the time to dedicate to it, there’s no substitute.
But it is also cope because if you want to become a monster slinging stucco or whatever, you need to eat like a gym rat instead of living on toranados, meth, and Mountain Dew like your average stucco guy.
I have a zoomer in my D&D group who’s a big gym rat (6’3” 230, has done tren in the last year, dunno if he’s cycling currently) and I can never admit that I have a home gym because he’s convinced that I’m strong due to lifestyle and labor instead of lifting, despite the fact that I can beat him arm wrestling or at grip strength and other similar shit, and I can never let go of the inferiority complex I’m giving him.
And yet I can manage every odd task where we need to lift something heavy better than all of my coworkers who have labor backgrounds because muhhh back issues muhhhh shoulder muhhh knees.
>get into first manual labor job
>loading and unloading trailers by hand
>mogged everyone there in speed
>coworkers got excited when I was on the sort cause It meant we got to go home early
People who don't lift are not aware of injury risk and basic biomechanics so they're not afraid of applying lots of force in shitty positions
Not going to risk a shoulder/back injury for some dumb party trick if there's an easier way
It's not the physique. It's how it's carried. There's something about weightlifters where they don't look quite comfortable in their own skin. It's so subtle that you normally don't notice unless you're looking for it. But in day to day activities, you can tell that people who do labor and routinely work their body in more than just scripted movements are more comfortable in how they wield it. Almost like it's more of a confidence thing.
lel. Just hit your forearms 4-5 times a week at the end of your work out. There, that's your "hard labor" muscles.
No. I prefer being able to walk and not have a fucked back in my 40s. I'll stick to an easy job + gym.
Hard labor doesn't create muscles, it just creates strength.
Sure, some 40 year old construction worker can lift heavy things. But he also has a beer gut and zero muscle definition.
that's just bf%
t. does none of those
>hard labour muscles
lmao. go look at your average construction site. they are all fat alcoholics or skinny fat twinks. the few that actually look good also lift weights.
yeah, i'm doing it right now and my forearms are strong but i quit going to the gym b/c 40hrs of work is enough. i mainly focus on a clean diet + proper nutrition. hopefully next by year with Blessings from Allah i won't be doing manual labor.
Just do mechanically equivalent exercises
>Doing screw turns xF.
A person with well developed muscles will adapt faster/better to other conditions that require the use of those muscles
I do both. I do a bit of lifting (minimally), but also unload 25-30kg boxes/bags/objects/rolls from trucks. I also, do the loading, the organizing and stacking onto shelfs.
The most volume I've moved was around 10 tons in 1 day, from warehouse to truck, from truck to warehouse, but usually around 2-3, and on certain days around 8.
5'9, 100 kg.
I feel like my muscles should be much larger, am am quite weak all things considered.
>Deadlift: 120 kg max
>Bench: 50 kg
>OHP: 65 kg
Those are the only lifts I do.
Oh yeah, I do a bit more than that for context.
>squat: 60 kg
>I can carry 75 kg on my back, side
>I can carry 50 kg on my head
>I can walk with 50 kg for like 10 meters,
>I can carry 40-50 kgs objects in my arms around as much
I think I could be very good at weightlifting, but life didn'tgo that direction.
This is who is telling you manual labor is cool. Christ, I cannot wait to get out of this industry.
I’m going to farmers walk the entire Camino de Santiago (400 miles) with 60 lb kettlebells. I’d like to see some construction cuck mog me after that
I go to the gym, do hard Labour, take steroids and do boxing. What happens with me?
If you deadlift you have construction worker strength and you can have more of it via the addition of plates while they do the same workload forever.
You can do both if you have good cardio and endurance.
I started a job as a tire fitter/mover and had to quit after 8 days (terrible work environment contributed to this, you did not get any breathers other than a 30 min unpaid break). It was incredibly hard on the body overall, but it'd be easier if I weren't fat and out of shape. Several of the people there were lifters too and told me about injuries they sustained from work which impacted their lifting and not the other way around.
hard labor mode is dad strength, 25 year old dudes dont have it no matter how tough they think their job is
it comes from decades of working with handtools, not five years of working with power tools
I'm so embarrassed of my 75cm quads squatting >200kg.
I've done manual labor all my life, it doesn't really make you stronger or build muscle, just exhausts you and fucks your body up. Most people I've worked with are fat/skinny fat with back and knee problems.
That's retarded. I've done manual labor for about 7 years, all sorts. When I was a mover, improving my front squat (MOSTLY the form) helped me pick couches and fridges up insanely. When I was passing plates on a huge tray (would often weight something like 20kg, I had to travel stairs and tight spaces with it overhead) my OHP helped, again MOSTLY form and stability work, not strength. I could go on. Bodybuilding, especially brosplits and anything curlbros do, is fucking useless for sure. Actually lifting, performing a variety of compound lifts with intensive attention to form and technique, has fucking saved my body from a premature retirement like so many others and improved my ability to work.
The twitter black poster fears the balkan anon chads.
I had a summer job building a stone fence with a m8 when we were 17. He got really big that summer and started lifting weights from then on and I got even skinnier and figured it was hopeless, but later I realized it was because I went home to a bowl of noodles with bread or tomato soup from a powder, whilst he had an upper middle class home with nutritious family dinners
Disproportional development is a fact but I think non-pros don't have to worry about it.
