Cheesecake Factory is notorious for having the highest ranking calorie-packed foods in general, not just their cheesecakes. Pic rel is their chicken Costoletta with 2,610 calories. Using them as a standard is disingenuous.

The average slice of cheesecake has 250-400 calories. Which is still high but far from 1k.

How come it doesn't feel that filling despite being so calorie dense?

          Anonymous

Sugar and fat is easy to eat, doesn't make you feel that full. Hence why pastries are like 500-1000 calories but you can definitely eat more than 1 if you wanted to, and they don't fill you up alone.

Your body will crave food until you consume a sufficient amount of protein. Conversely, sugar can increase food cravings regardless of other factors.

I love being American. Look at all that nutrition you get for just a few bucks. Yuros always seethe and idk why. You have to pay more for smaller servings and less food in europe. In the US it's the same price but you get wayyyy more. Anything you don't finish you get to take home and boom you got 2 meals out of 1, sometimes even 3. Yuros think they're above leftovers for some reason. They want to pay extra for less but GOD FORBID you put ice in their drink or they feel like they're getting cheated.

How could that be true when 578g of boneless skinless chicken breast is 1000kcal?

            Anonymous

165kcal per 100g is a bit misleading since its already cooked at that point and we are speaking of a protein ratio of about 0.3
Raw chickenbreast is 110kcal per 100g.

but yeah, Im also wondering how that pizza, 460g, has 855kcal.

              Anonymous

I think you missed the point I'm making. You can't compare different foods gram for gram like that and expect them to all have comparable caloric density. Cheesecake is a bunch of cream cheese, eggs, and sugar mixed together. It's nothing like pizza, just like pizza is nothing like chicken breast. That's my point.

                Anonymous

yeah sure, but wouldnt you think of pizza as quite calory dense food usually?

                Anonymous

Yes, but not necessarily more dense than a pile of cream cheese, eggs, and pure sugar.

                Anonymous

still its a head scratcher that a 460g Pizza can have 855kcal while the same mass of cooked chicken breast has 759

                Anonymous

Not at all, because pizza has a different composition than chicken. More refined carbs in the crust, for instance.

                Anonymous

Yeah it's likely incorrect. The average caloric density of bread alone is higher than 855/460. Assuming half of the mass of the pizza is bread (it's probably more, but irrelevant) which is 855/460 calories/gram - if only 51% of the other ingredients are more calorically dense than bread (they typically are) the info is incorrect. Pizza will almost never be <2 calories/gram.

                Anonymous

                >still its a head scratcher that a 460g Pizza can have 855kcal while the same mass of cooked chicken breast has 759
Is it? Pizza is mostly carbs and chicken breast is mostly protein, and both carbs and protein come in at 4kcal per gram. The difference is made up by the somewhat higher fat content of the pizza (depending on how greasy it is)

They don't and a good chunk of this board at any given time is a shit storm of cultists for various diets furiously debating which "eat only X" meme is superior based on it's nutritional value. CICO is just very useful for weight loss and no amount of super special dieting technique will overcome it. You can make arguments about body composition but no one is eating a cheesecake only diet and then bragging about their sickly, mostly lean mass weight loss just because they did technically follow CICO. Any diet within reason following CICO will lose weight and maintain proper body composition while doing so, all the rest is just a cherry on top at best and a meme at worst.

It was rated number 1 grocer in the US by customers, it surpassed trader joes. For me though, I go to both 🙂

Tf, is that cheesecake made of olive oil? An entire fricking pizza has 1000 calories and even a Sachertorte doesn't have nearly as many calories. I call bullshit. Probably 300 calories or so per slice at worst

What kind of cheesecake has 1k per slice lmfao. Anyways between those 2 I would still prefer the cheesecake. Watermelon is literally just sugary water.

        >Injected watermelons can have chemicals like nitrate, artificial dye (lead chromate, methanol yellow, Sudan red), carbide, oxytocin, which make it extremely unhealthy for gut health.
What in the ACTUAL FRICK. Even fresh produce is goyslop now.

You didn't know that? Seedless watermelons are all injected to make them that way. You have to grow them yourself to get real watermelons. Yes produce is goyslop. They spray bananas with an agent to accelerate ripening. If you don't separate the dole boxes so the air can breeze through them they heat up and rot.

            >You didn't know that?
It's not like there's a sign or a label that lists these kinds of additives. Processed food has to list every coloring agent and additive on their label, yet apparently you can inject fricking oxytocin into fruit and not have to disclose that in any way. Absolutely fricked.

But how did you think growing seedless fruit worked? Look up how avocados and apples are both freaks that have to be cloned. If you plant an apple from a seed the odds of it being a bullshit disgusting crabapple are like 100,000:1. They have to grow both avocados and apples off of spliced clones. Both of them are disgusting normally. The hass avocado or the granny smith is a patented variety.

This isn't even about seedless fruit, the article is talking about injecting artificial dyes for coloration and hormones to make it grow bigger. It's fricked.

I mean if ur the one to make it, you can basically decide how much calorie dense it will be
Low fat biscuits, easy on the sugar, some shit like philadelphia as cheese maybe mixed with greek yogurt
It ain’t traditional cheesecake but what do you care, USA cuisine is a joke as it is

Interestingly that one slice of cheesecake will have more nutrition than an entire watermelon. It's a pointless comparison made by someone with an infantile reductionist understanding of food. For 1000 calories you could have a large omelette with chopped ham and cheese along with a couple of fish fillets.

    >thread about eating an entire watermelon
    >163 posts and not a single one about shitting like crazy the next day

I must be the only person here who has actually eaten an entire watermelon. You WILL have an emergency shit the next day if you eat a whole watermelon (a medium to large watermelon, at least 15 lbs). This shit flushes your colon better than beans. And you'll piss more, too.

Too bad you have to be rich to eat right in the US. I need to move out of this shithole country.
