Healing IBS

Does anyone here have gut problems/IBS?

I seemingly developed it out of nowhere. I'm 24, pretty active, lift 4-5 days a week, never drink or smoke.

But suddenly now I have to shit all the time, I go 3-4 times in the morning and feel like I need to go throughout the rest of the day, and eating anything seems to make it worse.

1. Has anyone cured their IBS? The docs say it's incurable, but I don't know about that.

2. Has anyone learned how to reduce symptoms to negligible levels? If a cure isn't possible, I'll aim for this.

Luckily I'm still able to regularly work out, but I've needed to cut out most fruits and vegetables from my diet, also gluten and lactose. The doctor put me on an anti-depressant that somewhat helps reduce the symptoms, but I want to know what else I can do.

Gut stuff? zinc carnosine, l-glutamine, colostrum, soluble and insoluble fiber (these are required daily though), probiotics, sodium butyrate (or you could try jap bacteria "strong miyarisan" which will help you produce the butyrate yourself). I heard good stuff about zinc carnosine but I dont take it myself, you might want to try that first before moving on to the next stuff. There is also gut dysbiosis / leaky gut stuff you could google to try find out if shit anything useful.

If anti depressants reduced symptoms, then it's literally not a gut problem, it's a head problem. That's what IBS really is, people perpetually stressing over everything. Why do you think it's more common among women lmao

Do not restrict your diet, you'll only have problems when you try to reintroduce what you cut out. And you should have tried some shit like meditation, therapy (obviously with a male the rapist) etc, instead of going on head pills immediately

He is dumb but the letter of what he said it being a head problem is only true if you consider that the gut itself is a nerve cluster brain unto itself with emotions and mechanical knots. Fat itself even oils curl like knots of data storage. Swirl some oil in the sunlight to see its never identical iridescence. Oil itself responds to stress. Oil itself is moody and "emotional". Emotions themselves are chemical states and concotions. Spirit however sits in a session of these and is seperate like oil and water. If your spirit is calm but your flesh is not you may act outside of your own intentions and catch yourself in unintentional oopsies.

IBS was at my worst when I had romantic issues that gave me ED and sexual excess. The same nerves your torso has shake up both sexual organs and digestive organs simultaneously. Chasisty and sexual restraint help improve your command over what is normally thought inaccessible unconscious processes. You can command every organ in your body if you focus for hours at a time just on that organ. The less nerves a body part has the more nerve energy bath brainwashing it needs to meditate into action. I can command my gall bladder like I can a squadron of troops at the harbor before their send off but not like I can pull a trigger on a gun.

What was weird for me it was completely random, yeah life was a little stressful but things were generally going okay for a 24 year old, but out of the blue any time I ate -- specifically sit down restaurant food -- I would have the most terrible stomach pain followed by explosive diarrhea 20 minutes after the meal. Thank god it fixed itself after like a year but it was awful going out to eat.

IBS can be caused/exacerbated by a variety of things and stress/anxiety is one of them. Other mental health issues in IBS patients is pretty common.

Its kind of amazing that Ulcers were considered a mental condition (It's just stress!) until ~1985

brain/gut connection is real, but the correlation is exacerbated because having IBS also causes mental stress. Not being able to live abd eat as normal can cause depression, being in constant fear of what you eat and your own body while in public can cause anxiety.

Funny I see colostrum mentioned. IBS for several years from a bad batch of whey, just started colostrum and so far, apart from lots of (small) farts, so good. It's been only a few days but who knows ? Hope this one'll stick.
Never found something that works longer than a few days (2-5) tho...

Sure thing buddy. You ate a thing and it destroyed your gut for a year. You totally didn't meme your own body into thinking you have "developed" "IBS". Food poisoning is real, but your body deals with that shit for a couple of days at maximum, and if not, it's a serious infection for which you take antibiotics. Gut problems lasting years are caused by your own belief, that you have a medical condition. If you eat healthy and don't listen to meme advice like extreme diets, cutting out fiber etc, you cannot possibly have a problem. If you do, it's a made up problem, and you should proceed accordingly.

Like half of our dopamine and serotonin is produced in our gut by gut bacteria. If he has a depression and ibs, it's 100% gut microbiome.

Anon, I'm lazy to search but there is a legit study that drinkjng one cup of yogurt per day (unpasteurized, make it yourself) cures all ibs. 100% of participants had a remission.
You can add thibgs like milk or water kefir, combucha, sauerkraut, etc. Everything that contains a gut gut bacteria like lactobacteria or bifidobacteria, and kills bad gut bacteria. Which is fermented foods.
Look up d3. Look up all the cofactors of d3. For a few weeks take b vitamin complaex to help your gut microbiome (those are growth factors for bacteria that we evolved to use for our own needs), infra red, etc. Look up everything related to microbiome and try this book:

There were times where in class when I started to workout more as I started to take weights, she would squeeze my arm real quick to ask me if I needed any help. Fasting and bland foods (and emotional retreat and repose)
Then light foods like coconut oil sweet potato with honey and cashew cream
Then acidic veggie salads and casseroles that can handle intestinal movement (peristalsis)
Still no grains until you heal. Grains are for mobile soldiers rationing stretched time frames and penny pinchers. You must eat fresh easy baby foods.
Then as your "constitution" (reserves) stre nghthen you can have meats.

Had the same shit for years, tried everything under the sun.
In the end I went for a colonoscopy to rule out more serious stuff. I think what fixed it was the preparation for the colonoscopy, I shat my brains out for two days, then they did their thing with the endoscope.
After that it just went away.

You're starving all of your gut flora and hopefully all of the bad ones die off. Your body still dumps waste into your colon, so not everything dies off good or bad. I never had IBS, but I can consume dairy without getting gassy after doing extended fasts.

Lol you're so fricking dumb. I developed IBS from restaurant food spontaneously and I promise you it wasn't in my head.

Gut flora can react to hormones like stress hormones, which can increase the growth rate of bad gut flora. Some anti-depressants increase dopamine release from gut flora, which slows down peristalsis, which increases chances of constipation. Sex hormones can also affect flora, it's why men fart more than women.

This guy is at the cutting edge of IBS/SIBO research. https://youtu.be/pcYE57gCkH8

His team of researchers found out IBS/SIBO (same condition) are caused by food poisoning resulting in TWO infections:

      >e. coli
      >klebsiella

      E. Coli has about 70x the fermentation capacity of regular gut bacteria making you bloated as shit. Then it shuts down your bowels from working properly because it produces antibodies that mimic your MMC's enzymes. Either causing diarrhea or constipation.

Please watch the video and follow the treatment schedule. But for the love of God do NOT start jumping on various meme diets hoping it'll help you. It can't cure anything, just reduce symptoms (like low FODmap, carnivore). Do the research anon, I am telling you straight up nobody else here will tell you this.

      >But for the love of God do NOT start jumping on various meme diets hoping it'll help you.

            >pharma-grade antibiotics completely destroying all the bacteria indiscriminately throughout your body
You don't want bacteria "throughout your body" and the antibiotics that C U R E IBS aren't absorbed in the small intestines. They target the gut specifically. After antibiotic treatment the normal flora is ONLY able to re-establish itself after the e. coli infection has been destroyed.

And no, no amount of fasting and meme diets will save you from a chronic infection. I don't give a frick about autophagy or how it helped you with some completely unrelated issue. Your advice is dangerous and useless and it's the reason these conditions which can be cured in two weeks take years to resolve.

And I wouldn't be surprised if your fearmongering is also behind a chronic condition you suffer from yourself. /misc/-tier paranoia won't solve jack shit.

Cutting sugar is not a cure.

Fasting creates stem cells in the intestines. It kind of heals that organ. IDK about other organs.

Sup OP. This will be somewhat long but I'll try to be brief.

First of all, I'd go to a Gastro and make sure you don't have IBD or some other disease caused by non-bacterial issues.

If after all the tests your gastro does, and the main symptom is not being able to digest certain foods (FODMAPS) then your gut microbiome is (probably) fricked. There's a myriad of reasons this could be, my main hunch is that all the shit processed food these days (seed oils, high sugar, trans fats) and people not preparing meals from scratch is a big part. Modern day stress, and isolation is another from how your brain affects your intestines.

At any rate, I had IBS from 18 and it got REALLY bad at 23. I was shitting 14-16 times a day and couldn't eat anything with FODMAPS. Probably caused by stress from work, family, and alcohol to cope.

I ended up going to a Gastro and was given all sorts of antibiotics which did frick all for more than 2 weeks (Rifaxmin, Flagyl). I got a colonoscopy, endoscopy, xray, ultrasound, stool tests, the works. Everything looked fine physically.

At this point I was ready to die so I said frick it and went for a fecal matter transplant myself with capsules. I'm not cured but I've gone from being perma bloated shitting all day to 2-4 times a day depending on food and stress. No diaherra anymore, only solid stools. Getting low dose ritalin after I found out ADHD also helped, I had constant low grade anxiety I never noticed until I was on it, and the anxiety went away.

You NEED to have a healthy super donor. So this excludes the vast majority of people who live like shit these days. I spoke to the guy who owns https://www.humanmicrobes.org/.
Getting better takes months, if not years. Eat clean, exercise, and have a good mental state.
    More info: https://humanmicrobiome.info/

FMT isn't a Panacea. It works better for some than others. Don't expect miracles despite what some might preach.

This isn't medical advice by the way.

      Anonymous

      >I had constant low grade anxiety
To add onto this, I've heard that your immune system gets raped from being in constant stress situations as child. I grew up in a broken home with an abusive parent so it probably has something to do with it. Maybe happy pills WILL help, I don't know. I'm not a doctor.

I also take probiotics in their natural forms to retain the good bacteria. I'm mainly north/central european genetically so I try to get a lot of Lactobacillus in my diet since it seems to be prevalent in my ancestors. Kefir, Sauerkraut, etc.

I avoid any supplements since the FDA sucks dick and doesn't screen anything. Unless you're gonna pay for lab tests on supplements I'd do the same and use food as the means for your nutrition (crazy idea huh?)

I've had it in the past and was somewhat puzzled why I had it occurring. I believe it has to do with gut bacteria. I had IBS, went to a third world, and when I came back it was gone. Pretty sure it was because I introduced new bacteria from the food I was eating. A second time I had IBS it disappeared after I caught a stomach flu. Either I shit the bad bacteria out or the stomach virus killed it. Idk but you have to look at the food you eat and find out what triggers it. Or buy some probiotic with a lot of bacteria to see if that wipes out the bad one in your gut.

Also, pay attention to what you're drinking. Are you drinking tap water? It may not be the water that's contaminated but the pipes. After I keyed on that I stopped drinking tap water and started to buy refillable filtered water and it somewhat helped.

    Here's what helped me:
    > removed bread/grains from diet
    > removed processed foods from diet
    > went through a fasting phase, intermittent fasts with some 24-72 hour fasts to reset microbiome (bad bacteria dies off faster than good bacteria)
Diet nowdays is high protein, animal fats, fiber of choice (usually salad with some olives), and rice or potatoes for carbs. No symptoms for 4 years so I think that incurable shit is just cap like most modern medical "science".

    > The doctor put me on an anti-depressant that somewhat helps reduce the symptoms, but I want to know what else I can do
Get off them right now and never visit that Doctor ever again. Never ever under any circumstance ever take anti-depressants. Any doctor still recommending that shit in the current year of our lord is a rent-a-pajeet of the most abysmal quality.

Since roughly May of last year I've been getting these random bouts of bloating. Doesn't particularly seem to be trigger by anything I eat, and it comes on usually a little while after taking a shit. This wouldn't be so bad except for it gets to feel like I have a goddamned bowling ball in my stomach. This puts pressure on my diaphragm making it feel like I can't breathe. Gives me pretty bad anxiety as a result. Doctors have no idea what it is.

    Hey,
I am 34, I developed IBS at age of 14.

I over the years I had all stuff checked, colonoscopy, gastroscopy. etc.
My gastroenterologist was telling me that in his opinion are my problems are related to stress.
He was right, it took me years to realize it. Family problems, depression etc.

I did not fix it fully, but after I realized what caused my problem, I started mindfulness meditation, diffrent approach to problems, realization that most of it is in my head most of the symptoms are gone.

At some point during middle school, I was farting 24/7 for weeks.

Last year I randomly started having diarrhea 7-8 times a night after dinner for a month straight. Got stool and blood tests done and a colonoscopy. Tests revealed huge markers for IBD, but colonoscopy was mostly clean. Also tests showed slight peanut allergy.

The colonoscopy prep itself actually made the symptoms go away 100%. I would recommend it to anyone again because I really felt ready to die, it was so painful and embarrassing. I think my gut was just messed up and needed a reset. A few months later, after eating peanut butter, the symptoms came back for 2-3 days hard but then disappeared.

I think the peanut allergy severely messed things up and I avoid it now, but I can't recommend enough trying to go through a colonoscopy prep flush just to try it out. It's harmless aside from one-two hungry days and a lot of shitting. good luck to OP and all with similar issues, I know the pain and it really, really sucks, especially with how little doctors actually know about diet and gut

For me it was just the coffee.I have no idea why, just suddenly in my late 20s I started having brutal diarrhea out of no where and I didn't change anything. Drank the same brand of black coffee and ate the same boring food and then I noticed one day that when I didn't drink my coffee for a day that I was feeling much better. If I were you I'd stop taking any kind meds you don't need and any kind of supplements like vitamins or creatine or protein shakes, any of that could be the issue so you should cut that out for a few days. After that I'd look into the "BRAT" (bananas, rice, apples, toast) diet, supposedly its great for diarrhea. I'd do the BRAT diet for a few days maybe a week and see what happens. If it gets better then I would slowly start taking the supplements and the meds again and slowly day by day adding the food I used to eat and see if the problem comes back.

I fixed my digestive issues and depression by doing a diet that is as close as what we would eat in nature. I don't eat grains, vegetables, legumes, processed goyslop, leaves, oils unless its cold pressed coconut/olive.

I mostly eat red meats, raw organs, raw eggs, raw dairy, raw fish, raw sea foods, fruits, unpasteurized honey and I consume it all as unprocessed as possible. Meaning that some days I won't cook the meat and eat it raw or other day ill simply cook it blue, depends on how I feel.

Try getting your hands on raw kefir or anything else that is fermented animal based food, it will fix your gut microbiome.
