Hello Dr.?

Hello Dr. IST

I am a 30 year old male with normal T, but also high feminine hormones. I've been dealing with Erectile Dysfunction for ~7 years now. Is this the reason? Is there a way to beat this shit? I used to think the onions & onions memes were just memes but I am not so sure anymore.

What are your eating/drinking/general habits like? Do you eat/drink from plastic containers a lot? Do you live in a city or more rural environment? What does your body/strength look like? Sorry for all of the questions but I'm curious and have researched all kinds of cases like this trying to find overlapping causes.

      >eating/drinking/general habits like? Do you eat/drink from plastic containers a lot?
I would say relatively healthy. Cook 90% of my own meals. No, do not eat from plastic a lot. Most of my tupperware is glass as well. Rural. Currently pretty weak, but I broke my ankle in April so haven't been able to be very active over the entire summer.

Should add to this that my ED has not developed recently, so I don't think this has much to do with it.

Definitely doesn't help but as you point out ED has been an issue for years; were you ever seriously lifting and working out every day? Get a lot of sunlight? And how often are you socializing, in general and with the opposite sex? If you were never that physically active particularly in your late teens/early 20s that's probably a major contributor but for all I know you were a bodybuilder prior to ankle break

Yeah I go through periods where I'm more/less consistent but I'm typically pretty active under normal circumstances. Ride my bike, skateboard, play tennis.

high test = high estrogen because testosterone converts into DHT and Estrogen. It's not about absolute values, it's about relative balance. If you're really worried about it, change up your diet or take an aromatase inhibitor

So you don't think any of those flags have anything to do with my ED?

hard to say man, people on this board love to (mistakenly) narrow all their problems down to testosterone or estrogen, when in reality those probably have very little bearing on their problems or fitness, short of being on gear. ED can be caused by problems ranging from high blood pressure/poor circulation to high serotonin levels from SSRIs/supplements to high prolactin, which can also be elevated by medication or supplements. What, if anything, are you taking or on?

btw I should clarify that ED can be caused by MANY things and is not at all limited to JUST prolactin, serotonin, and blood pressure. There is a massive psychological/neurological component to arousal, and even if your blood pressure, test, and E are perfectly in order, you can have ED from these neurological/psychological causes. One thing that comes to mind is the dopaminergic system, which is sort of mutually inversely regulatory with prolactin (high prolactin lowers dopamine levels, and vice versa)... try tyrosine or any dopaminergic drug/supp and see how it affects your libido.

Personally, being in good cardiovascular health has always helped with my erection quality... I know dudes on here look down on cardio, but it offers the basic benefit of improving blood flow throughout your body, which is part of what an erection is.

You have Chad tier Testosterone, and troony tier Estradiol.

High Estradiol in men signal the glans to produce LESS Testosterone. Hence high Estradiol men (fatsos etc) are always low T.

And yet you have borderline superhuman Testosterone and homosexual Estradiol at the same time.

You know what you've been doing, Anon. You've been injecting Testosterone. And the excess has been turned into Estradiol because you didn't care to take any Aromatase Inhibitors.
I bet your FSH/LH levels are trash as well, because most of this Testosterone wasn't produced by your body.

Yes, your limp dick problems stem from high Estradiol. It blocks some androgen receptors (particularly in the brain) and trashes your libido.

Stop injecting Testosterone, or start properly taking some AI, and you should be fine.

I unironically have never injected test. The doc who ordered these tests did ask me if I had ever used test creams before though, as my older bloodwork showed similarly high test levels. My libido is fine though, I still get horny, just cannot maintain an erection.
