            Are these people who followed a potato diet? I love potatoes. I boil them until just tender and put them in the fridge overnight which converts the starch to resistant starch. Then I roast them the next day with seasoning until browned

    McDougall is a straight-up crazy person. I could see why people listened to him decades ago because he had a sort of Mr. Rogers quality about him but he's since gone totally fricking nuts and has absolutely no filter anymore, not to mention he looks 20 years older than he is. I'm sure the numerous deficiencies from a lack of animal products haven't helped his brain either.
