I ised to do ohp religiously, but all I got was massive front delt and rounded shoulders. Cable lateral raises and lying lateral raises gave me massive side and rear delts. To the point that zoomers copy me.

That's why 1/2/3/4 is such a meme. None of those lifts are at the same difficulty level. 1 and 2 are nowhere near as difficult as 3 and 4, especially 1 plate OHP; it's not even close of being at the same level

It would be: Bench (Piss Easy 1), Deadlift (Obtainable 2), OHP (Getting Somewhere 3), Squat (I don't like the DOMS in my buttcheeks 4) in order of difficulty.

The problem is that 1/2/3/4 is a movable metric that no one agrees on what it should be done for, because if they did agree 1/2/3/4 would come with a prescribed number of sets and reps. You could be talking to someone who's just hit shakey fucked up looking 1RM's in each and says they've hit 1/2/3/4 after 3-4 months of training or someone who's hitting comfortable 5 reps in each but doesn't think they've hit 1/2/3/4 because they're aiming for 5x5 and can only manage 3x5.
Pick whatever reps and sets you want to aim for at 1/2/3/4 and just work on it.

squats and deads will fuck your spine up in no time.
There are alternatives that will work the same muscles but be much safer on your body. That being said, if you correctly progress these exercises and don't push weight, they are fairly safe, except for maybe bench, and for OHP its much better to use a neutral grip to safeguard your rotator cuff.

Better exercise for your shoulders and arms.... Only ego lifters won't do it because you can't load it as much as a standard OHP. Good for volume work or when under lockdown.

once i accepted the fact that im weak and will take forever to get strong; i then was ok with proceeding with weight that i can handle for 5-8 reps, tuck my butt and engage my thoracic, then i felt good every time i did this exercise and it actually helps my posture
