          Building muscle requires you to stress said muscle to the point that the body wants to synthesize more so that the next time you do said thing it won't he so bad. Maintaining just requires you to continue to do said thing. Said thing does not have to be lifting, therefore if you build it to be good at a thing you can simply stay that good at the thing and maintain your physique. If your thing is bodybuilding then obviously you will have to continue to lift because bodybuilding is lifting.

    He is right, when you reach that point you should be doing actually functional hobbies that utilize your strength and fitness. That how you maintain it once you reach that point. Your gym time is done. You got in shape, now it's time to use it.
    It's akin to going to to university. You end up like those college students that just take classes forever going into their 40s and never actually put any skills to use.
    It's like studying for the SAT but you just study for the SAT forever and never go to college.

    Aahh see, I don't primarily go there to lift anymore, I go to stare at thots in tight leggings amd sports bras
    I take it all in, the view, how their asses jiggle and how they get that slightly disgustes look on their faces when they catch me.
