I eat a frick ton of whey protein. It's hard to get so much protein in daily. And it costs so much fricking money.
Expense is no object. Im wanting to get my protein from real food and not bullshit powder.
Couscous might be an idea.
Looking for recipes. Inspiration to cook something different other than the seasoned beef/rice/veggie I make everyday.

if you need your meals to be fun interesting cause you're a special snowflake princess then you will never make it
There’s seasoning, anon. Use it. You very well may have more will power just eating plain, salted chicken. What do you mix your protein with?
>Use it
why?
>What do you mix your protein with?
what?
lol glad to see im not the only person that eats like this. I often hear my coworkers talking about how they made some beef wellington last week, or how the homemade pad thai noodles they made were so good.
I literally just make rice, veggies, season the meat and roast/pan fry. I'm not a fricking chef at some homosexual restaurant, I'm just hungry.
you need your meals to be minimal and boring because youre a special snowflake princess
wtf is that supposed to mean
oh no i can cook well and i enjoy it I just find that eating minimalist is a better use of my time and money
>oh no i can cook well and i enjoy it I just find that eating minimalist is a better use of my time and money
you need your meals to be minimal and boring because youre a special snowflake princess
>t. scared of using rosemary because it has a gay name
yeah i'm not going to pay for something i don't need lol
A bottle of herbs that you shake on your food like salt costs maybe $2. This is certainly beyond you, but you can grow most herbs at home just once then have them free forever.
At least add some pepper.
Oof, those are some hardcore depression meals.
Lvl 100 Snow Monkey
Couscous is amazing. Takes like 3 minutes to prepare and mixes with anything saucy perfectly. Eating rice is so tiresome compared to it
Anything to mix it up, thanks anon. I completely forgot couscous even existed.
Thanks for the heads up. Ill try anything once, but I suspected this was the case.
seriously try sardines. if you're bulking get the ones in olive oil, if you're cutting get the ones in brine. if you like them, which could end up being the case, they're also a top tier micronutrient source.
You’re a fricking idiot. Whey is the most digestible fastest absorbing protein. I’d eat it all the fricking time but it’s way more expensive than getting from food since the whey I use isn’t amino spiked and full of arsenic like shit tier euro and pajeet whey.
Im not above quality whey, but there’s a lot of bullshit powder out there. Real food is cheaper and better. Where do you get yours? I’ve been wanting to mix whey and kefir for the longest time.
Most of that protein is getting converted into glucose
Nah I drink it mixed with corn syrup to prevent gluconeogenesis
Isn't it super thick anon?
How do you avoid dietary protein being burned for energy?
by consuming an appropriate amount along side carbohydrates and fats which have a protein-sparring effect.

why would you count like that?

Yeah sure just take one of the most inflammatory proteins in the world and just concentrate it into a bar because you're scared of meat.
Haha yes I too agree with the reddit consensus that isoflavones cause moobies! Well done my fellow keto brother! Mozzletoff!
ok I'm glad you know
>N=1
Seems reliable
>n=1
Yes and NOT ZERO. Therefore possible. The amount of soi milk he was drinking constitutes approximately 300mg of isoflavones per day.
Take a look at this chart and tell me if you eat 300mg of isoflavones per day
>soý sauce and miso soup is safe
Thank god
Yup. The traditional foods are all fermented. There's a reason the Japanese fermented their soi. They probably knew it was effeminizing. I'd wager the fermentation reduces the effects of isoflavones as well, but there are no tests or studies on it; can't say with any degree of certainty.
Only the real stuff, the powder is crazy high
That guy was consuming 3 litres of onions milk a day? He went GOSAD
>1 person
Imagine being afraid of fricking beans because one old man had some weird allergy lmao.
You're kinda moronic dude.
Go back to r*dditerino my dude.

Yeah thats what happens to people when they eat lobster too you're right. Keep eating your hormones! They prevent hot flashes you know

Ah yes, the same tired old studies every vegan posts to claim their b***h breasts are just fat from meat toxins.
1. Mark Messina, soi lobbyist.
2. 40mg of isoflavones is nothing. You get more from 1 scoop of soi protein. Again, proving my point.
3. Soi isoflavones are compared against milk proteins. No significant difference. So why not just take whey and drink milk hm? What happened to that crazy estrogen in milk? And then there's this
>61.7±7.35
That's their high isoflavone content. So if less than 70 mg of isos per day is "high" and you say we should eat 300mg of isoflavones per day just from some tofu and soi protein, you're telling people to eat greater than 4x the upper limit of soi isoflavones. And you think it'll be just fine huh? Why don't you take 4x your upper limit of iron or copper and see what happens.
4. TYPICAL FOR ASIAN MALES. what is that? 40-75mg of isoflavones. Just like I said. Also you should read your studies because in this one, they specifically reference the b***h breasts case
>The subject described in the case report (8) was said to have consumed 3 quarts of basedmilk daily, an amount (assuming it is made using the whole basedbean) that would be expected to provide approximately 300 mg of isoflavones (the authors suggested 361 mg) (46). In comparison, typical intake among older men in Japan (46) and Shanghai (77) is approximately 40 mg/d. Clearly, excessive intake of even very nutritious foods can produce untoward effects
and even Mark Messina, soi lobbyist, admits you shouldnt be eating that much. That's potentially just two scoops of soi protein.
5. They tested it with 30mg of isoflavones per day. Also in this study they found whey protein increased testosterone levels
>the observation that total serum testosterone was higher with WPC supplementation following 12 weeks of resistance exercise training is a novel finding
6.
>These recent studies in men consuming basedfoods or supplements containing 40–70 mg/d of onions isoflavones showed few effects on plasma hormones or semen quality
40-70. Once again, you will get more isoflavones from less than one serving of common soi foods.
7.
>5 vegans
>400+ nonvegans
Lot of room for error when comparing these two groups
In other words, each one of the studies (You) provided supports my points more than yours. So thanks
Puls
You need to be creative to make it taste good
I like these as a snack. 15g of protein in one container.
Ew those taste like sour cream with a dash of fruit pulp
So does your moms pussy but you don’t hear me complaining
I got used to eating skyr or non-fat cottage cheese as a snack.
A pot of 500 grams of cottage Cheese has 260 calories and 42.5 grams of protein. Costs between 50-60 cents at Lidl. Fills me up a lot more than a random whey shake and it's perfect for a cut or to reach your protein goal when you really don't feel like cooking a steak or something.
What the hell is going on here? Why isn’t deenz fpbp?
Not sure about the deenz my brudda. Dont want to get fricked by the mercury.
that's the whole point of deenz. They are a small, short lived fish so they don't have time to accumulate heavy metals.
However, they contain microplastics at a higher level than other fish. Gotta pick your battles.
Interesting. Are they any good? I dont generally enjoy fish.
Give it flavor.
>I dont generally enjoy fish.
You will not like canned fish it's extra fishy but more plain at the same time and usually has a bunch of salt to help preserve it
>deenz
>mercury
You're thinking of tuna. Salmon, mackz, and deenz are all good
Based had a can for my morning snack
Excellent with a soft cheese and mushrooms
How do you eat your deenz? Last time I had a tin, I used it to make caesar dressing. I also tried using deenz instead of crab in some rangoons. That did not work well.
I eat oats mixed with whey, because I'm a poor gay.
Add veggies pickled, canned, or frozen to stretch $ to nutrition
Look for strong sauces to change flavor profiles eastern markets are a treasure trove of liquid flavors
Thanks friend. I will.
So is there any reason not to eat a pound or a bit more of mussels every day? I like the taste, frickin easy to cook up, metals aren't an issue. Thoughts bros?
Price and the risk of food poisoning
french lentil soup is amazing
Protein oats
Protein pancakes
Eggs
Canadian bacon
Beef jerky
Greek yogurt w/ granola and fruit
Canned tuna. Frick the gays that gripe about mercury poisoning. You have to eat it everyday for every meal for weeks it to become an issue
Vegans kys that is all
Lentils have ~16g protein per cup when cooked. They taste fricking great if you're good with spices, and they cook fast.
Surprisingly low isoflavone content for legumes. Would eat.
Will have to look into, thanks.
Thanks my brudda.
Motherfricking salted chicken. Jfc. Tell me you use taco sauce or some sort of hot sauce please
>Tell me you use taco sauce or some sort of hot sauce please
are you 12? what's wrong with food tasting like god intended it to taste. Chicken tastes great and if you need more that just means you have ruined your tastebuds
are you 12? the only people i know who can't handle herbs or condiments are children
I can handle it just fine, It's just a waste of money
I refuse to believe that you're so poor you can't afford spending $10 on spices every 6 months or so
Oh I'm way richer than you exactly because im not a moronic consoomer who has to buy stupid shit all the time
>Oh I'm way richer than you
Post proof
>adding spices to your meal makes you a moronic consoomer
peak autism
Modern spices cost fricking nothing. You can't muster the energy or care because you are a sadboi.
What? Why would I be sad. Imagine needing spices to be happu
Imagine being so deep in your depression that you cope by acting superior for enjoying bland unseasoned food
Imagine complaining about whyppl with working tastebuds, sheeeit.
this post made you lose this argument.
Make stews with actual meat and lentils, really nice dense protein meals right there
Chicken/beef stir-frys with a couple veg and maybe some light rice noodle are pretty good. Tuna salad is pretty good if you can fit the fat with your macros for the day.
Lentils are good but you have to limit how much you eat because of their fiber content.
I used to eat like 4 plates of lentil soup a day, then spend the rest of the day shitting water.
60g here, low cal. 3 real eggs, 1 cup egg whites, plus cottage cheese for protein. Easy, tasty, not expensive
Stir fry a whole brick of tofu
gay cum
Chicken thigh sous vide with a lot of garlic, chilis, and onions sauce. Goes great with rice.
Whatever cut of beef is marked down heavily. Sear, fry, or braise as appropriate. Rarely needs more than salt and pepper. Chuck with a bottle of wine and some better than bouillon goes great with egg noodles.
Hard to beat three soft boiled or pickled eggs, a pickle spear, and ramen.
Pork chops are pretty great too as long as you do them medium rare, otherwise not worth the price.
That sounds awesome and all but the macros on chicken thighs are ridiculously bad if you're cutting. Half the cals just go to fat which makes it hard to eat a lot without going over a deficit
I'm lanklet so cutting is not on the radar for a long time to come. All the skin and fat in the thighs break down to make up about half of the sauce but it probably works just as well with breast if you added chicken better than bouillon and some gelatin. Sous vide is better for breast actually. You can't overcook thighs even if you tried but breast is a huge pain in the ass most of the time.
Yeah I have a sous vide circulator that i used first time around for cutting. Makes some good juicy chicken breast but sometimes got that chewy texture if i set the temp too low. Fricking awesome thing to have
do you sear it afterwards?
I never really did. I figure for thighs you can get some good skin sear
all meats benefit from a sear
Yeah just never tried it with a breast. Never seemed worth it like it did with steak cause drying out the outside of a chicken breast just never felt right to me. I'll try it next time I make one sous vide.
treat it like a steak, sous vide the breast 5 degrees lower than normal then finish it off with a quick sear.
>ground turkey
turkey breasts are an excellent alternative if you can find them, much better flavor than chicken
Get a split breast, sous vide it at 140 for 2hrs, then sear it skin side down until it gets nice and crispy. Then let it cool until you can handle it, remove the back and wish bones (super easy, just slide your finger between the bone and the meat).
Best chicken breast you'll ever have. I make it at least once a week, and split breasts are always way cheaper than the boneless skinless ones from the same brand.
I also have steak once or twice a week since getting a sous vide setup, since now I can guarantee that I'm not going to accidentally ruin a $20 piece of meat.
I want to eat deenz but they taste bad, how do I fix them
Sautee some garlic and onions in butter, add deenz, crack two or three eggs on top and bake until whites are set.
$2.50 frozen pizza with ground beef on it.
>nitrites with a side of polyunsaturated fat
Yum!
Just make lahmacun with a tortilla or something, it's way healthier.
That is sad, so is your fat hand, and the fact that you live in a depression nest.
Baked chicken in homemade bread
in all my years here, you have to be one of the most puzzling posters ive
ever come across
like 3-5 eggs a day, beef, chicken, fish. Turkey bacon, cheese. Greek yogurt from time to time.
/fit/'s bizarre opposition to pork is ridiculous
I love pork, just trying to cut down on the fat for a while. Pork bacon is godly.
costco started carrying pork tenderloin recently. cheap as frick, completely lean and delicious.
dayum, gonna check that out then. Love me some pork.
Pork is just shitty beef. Bacon, ribs, pulled pork are all great, but if you're having pork chops they have the texture of a very overcooked steak, even when cooked rare. There is no point.
>pork chops they have the texture of a very overcooked steak
objectively false
Trust me anon I've tried to like them. Just isn't happening, far too dry and chewy. And it's not like I overcooked them like my mom always did when I was growing up, I did a 140F sous vide for a couple of hours followed by a quick sear. Same thing I do with steaks. They just suck.
Yeah they're much cheaper which is why I gave them a solid shot, but if I have to force myself to eat them because it's not enjoyable then there's no point. A marinade might help I suppose, or the chops I was getting are just trash.
if they're dry and chewy then you're overcooking them, jesus christ dude
I might try it again at some point at a lower temp, but honestly a filet mignon is 100x tastier so I'll probably just stick with those
variety is the spice of life, and a pork chop is like 5 to 10 times cheaper than filet mignon
>variety is the spice of life
Yeah I know, hence my disappointment in how the chops turned out. It's only once or twice a week anyway, the rest of the time it's chicken, fish, quorn, tofu, etc.
how do you cook your quorn, I did some on the convection oven and it came out a little spongy
It was good but you're the first dude I've seen who has also tried it
I pretty much always saute it, usually as part of a stir fry, curry, or similar. The texture is definitely different to meat in that it's always gonna be a little spongy (it is derived from fungi after all) but I honestly kinda like it. Usually get the pieces but the grounds are good and their burgers are actually awesome as well.
I always keep a few packs in the freezer for if I just can't be bothered cooking or I have a bunch of veggies to use up but no meat, it's super easy just to chuck a pack of quorn in a pan, get it browned and then throw some veggies & sauce on top of it.
Honestly quorn is awesome, it's got great protein but also great fiber which means I don't have to eat 2lbs of fricking spinach to hit my fiber goal.
You should look into straight up mushrooms too. In my area I have to go to a restaurant supplier to get mushrooms but they got some insane shit. Oyster mushrooms, king oyster, lions mane, reishi, etc.
Sautee them in a little butter with salt and pepper and you can eat em just like that or with some rice and you're golden.
Dude I would absolutely love to find somewhere I can get more than the standard mix of portobello, shitake & bella. Even the nearest whole foods which is like a 30min drive doesn't have more than that.
There are a few restaurant supply stores nearby but I've never seen mushrooms there, although I haven't been looking, always just going there for pots/pans/etc. Will have to keep an eye out for that in the future, thanks anon
Don’t be afraid to make a few calls. They sell this bulk pack here which I can only really justify for special occasions but holy shit was it good.
Are you looking for any specific type of restaurant supply store? I actually can't think of any that I've been to that have food there, it's always just pots, pans, utensils, hardware, etc.
the one I go to is listed on google as a "restaurant supply store" but they only sell raw ingredients in bulk, no pots and pans.
Thanks anon, I'll try calling around and see if I can find the right store. Those mushrooms look incredible btw, nice score
pork chops are really lean and if you just buy a whole pork loin and cut them out yourselfs they are like $2/lb. only thing cheaper is usually just those chicken thighs with skin and bones in. a good brine or marinade will help the texture probably
I just stuff it with sage, garlic and thyme and roast it. Comes out juicy every time.
Lotta people ITT need to buy a meat thermometer.
Chicken breast, thighs, ground turkey and fish usually with rice, mac and cheese or pasta. I don't eat enough vegetables but I usually go for the cheap frozen mixed bags, carrots or spinach. Red meat fricks up my stomach so I avoid it.
200g of chicken breast is like 70g of protein. Just eat two of them lil homies.
Blueberry Banana Whole Milk Smoothie Blended with Egg Whites and Collagen Peptides
Tends to amount to about 60g protein and 800kcal.
for beef and pork i just like to do meatballs because they are cheap. put them in tomato or cream/swedish meatball type of sauce depending on how many more calories you need.
you can make pretty good gyro meat at home if you freeze the meat into a log and then when it is partially frozen slice thin strips off and pan fry. pita bread is not hard to make
beef and broccoli chinese type of dish is easy to make with some steak.
for chicken i usually just use a chipotle recipe (there is a yt video for it) and eat it like that or in tortilla, pita, salad, etc
My wife makes this sun dried tomato viniagrette salad dressing and always makes way too much of it, so I started marinating chicken breast (cut into strips) in the leftovers with some salt and pepper and air frying them. It’s so good I have been eating it four or five meals a week and still look forward to it every time. You can probably find something similar at the store (just make sure you read the ingredients).
Ate it with fresh beets and greens from the garden last night.
My go to when I'm feeling lazy and I need something quick is a can of tuna mixed with a half cup of rice and some hot sauce. About 35 grams of protein and only 260 calories
Tilapia is 90 calories per 112g serving for 20g of protein. It's god tier for min-maxing protein-to-calorie ratio but it's factory farmed in its own shit so...
roasts mostly
Chicken breast is always king for protein.
You can add it to anything
>pasta
>rice
>cous cous or quinoa bowl
>a gyro
>chicken kebab
>chicken fried rice
True, if I'm on a cut and have a single chicken breast I know that I don't have to worry about protein for the rest of the day and can eat whatever with my leftover calories.
Protein shakes and Greek yogurt.
>Protein shake: 230cal, 3.5g fat, 42 protein
>Greek yogurt: 110cal, 0g fat, 14g protein
Both are delicious and found in many grocery stores and workplace cafeterias. Chicken, eggs, bacon, and lean meats are good too. The only reason you'd have trouble exceeding 150g protein each day is if you're eating too much of your mother's cooking or adhering to childhood eating habits.
Take box of chicken legs
Take big pot, fill it with water and put a little oil in it
Boil chicken
Put boiled whole chicken legs on plate and add some balsamic vinegar
Zero effort and all the protein
>boiled chicken legs
Jesus christ
Ever heard of boiled pigs foot? Anon must be a refugee living in germany.
Although you could argue for boiling it in whole milk.
I had some spanish style pigs feet a few months ago, god damn it's good
I just get personally grossed out over pigs feet. Would eat frogs feet over pigs.
don't cuck yourself because of the cultural norms you grew up in. the collagen in the feet just fricking melts down and the flavor is incredible.
Thai larb (or 'meat salad') is basically just ground or thinly sliced meat (typically pork or beef but can be whatever you want) with some onions, basil, lime juice, chili and herbs. it goes really well with lettuce and rice (if u wanna bulk) and tastes incredible just look up a recipe online if you can get the ingredients its pretty easy to prepare and itll spice things up without packing on unwanted carbs or sugars
Other than that i would recommend red meat, a nice big ribeye or a porterhouse is a personal favorite
a reasonable amount of meat and yogurt has more than enough protien for anyone
>2 200g chicken breasts
>250g lime cilantro rice
>cook the chicken, add taco seasoning + bell peppers
>cook the rice
>mix together, add diced tomatoes, some shredded cheese, a small scoop of sour cream or greek yogurt, and some hot sauce
easy to make, get two meals dinner+lunch, ~600 cal/ 40something g protein and it tastes fricking awesome.
Steak.
Stew.
Fried Chicken.
Caesar salad with Deenz.
Pizza without crust.
Here's my daily eating routine
>wake up
3 eggs and bacon OR 1 serving cottage cheese instead of bacon
>lift
>whey
>wait an hour or two
>eat greek / some other kind of high protein yogurt and canned tuna
>start working
>take lunch break
>only have 30 minutes to prepare and eat my meal
>chop up red and yellow peppers, throw in skillet with canned chicken (I know) , seasoning, and sometimes I add potatoes
>once somewhat cooked add three eggs and scramble
>throw in a bowl and chow
>get off work
>casein shake
breakfast: eggs and cheese with milk and maybe potatoes if i feel like it
Lunch: yogurt and protein shake
Dinner: Chicken thighs potatoes and veggies
my absolute favorite meal is chicken thighs.
cloaca eating ass motherfricker
Greek yogurt and eggs everyday, oily fish 2-3 times a week, beef 2 times a week, chicken liver once a week.
Veggies (esp broccoli) obviously everyday, the rest is up to you, macros & micros are already covered. I like legumes, cheese and nuts & seeds.
1 kilo every day
my man
magerquark gang
So uhm, what's the verdict on lentils? Will they kill my gains?
Inferior protein. Can be a fine addition but I wouldn't base a diet around them
onions
Cottage cheese. Fricking love plain cottage cheese
Obligatory
sardines are shit tier fish
Scrambled eggs with diced chicken ham on good wholemeal bread is 3x simpler than this and has more protein
