      My best deadlift was 290kg in 2019. Then all those lockdowns and shit set me back quite a bit and I kinda lost the drive to set new PRs. I didn't even intend to go over 5 plates today.

        Fear in the deadlift is a perfectly reasonable thing, however you can get to a point of too much fear. See how many reps you can get at the lower weights and you can do quite a few you can try higher, do not repeatedly go for orm, that is asking for trouble.
