I think ultimately a diet that includes fruits and veggies is healthier, but carnivore/zero carb is therapeutic and great for someone who has been a carboid all their life (read: everyone).

Way easier to get a balance of electrolytes and gives you more immediate energy. This is good if you want to perform atheletically and arent a lard ass. Did carnivore for 2 years strict and i loved it but id be lying if i said my lifting was on par to where its at now. Id say however that carido is if not on par, even better when doing cardio. Thats just my 2 cents.

          >electrolytes
Throw some salt on the meat and you have what you need. Everything else is fitness performance related, which doesn't make you less healthy for eating meat

Just have in mind this isn't a cure all. There is a dude by the name of Frank Tufano who's a bit of a schizo and did rigorous carnivore for like 6 years... He's not on it anymore. Fallowing him on yt along his ride I collected many things wrong with carnie before he even went off of it.
    >low gut motility
    >normal farm meat is too low in copper
    >too high in iron
    etc.

PS You;re probably feeling better because of one or two specific issues you suffered from. Like fructan sensitivity, candida or myriad of other possible shit.

I'd sooner recommend MIT's modified Atkins than carnivore or even keto, although the later is still viable, just most people can't keep it up.

        >candida
How do you deal with candida? I started going to the gym and cleaned up my diet last year. I've been taking candida-fighting pills and doing gut cleanse cycles for close to a year now.

I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis which came out of nowhere and an alternative health friend said it's actually an issue with my gut and candida, so I've been (maybe wrongfully) fighting that for a year. I still have flaky skin/scalp and itching.

I guess eating a lot of bitter and sour shit and probiotic foods in significant volume like live sauerkraut? No simple carbs. Never dealt with it myself, but just from general understanding you don't want glucose or fructose to be released in your upper tract.

Garlic, onion and coconut oil frick with yeasts.

Also, water kefir is an easy way to get a lot of probiotic volume-wise.

PS maybe "no simple carbs" is an overstatement. no simple carb bomb that detonates w/o fiber to slow it down.

I'm going to look into sauerkraut and see if I can fit that into my diet. My mom actually had a bottle of water kefir some years back. It was quite cool because it tastes alright and it keeps regenerating itself.

Cut out seed oil. People will immediately attack this but if you cut out seed oil you will only be left with being able to eat home cooked meals and real food. It will go away. All the junk you shouldnt be eating anyway is filled with it.

I only use olive oil. My diet is quite simple. Outside of the morning porridge blend with mass gainer/protein powder, fruits and nuts, the rest of my meals are wholegrain carbs, meat and some veg in similar proportions

Oh and a fruit smoothie at least every other day. I also have a protein-heavy yoghurt every day

The mass gainer likely has corn syrup solids in it. Mass gainer is absolute garbage and you should eat more instead. Also some people get seb derm from dairy, and if you're one of them the whey might bother you

I suspect it has stuff that might aggravate it, but I've cut out bread and dairy on different occasions and they didn't make a difference, so I ruled them out. I suspected oats at one point, but I also cut that out and it didn't make a difference.

Can you share your meal plan in detail?

                >breakfast
Porridge, semi-skimmed milk, ON mass gainer powder, blueberries, cashew nuts, banana
                >lunch
                brown rice (or brown pasta)
                veg: spinach or mixed veg

at least every other day, a fruit smoothie with apples, blueberries, beetroot and lemon

what the frick are seed oils even in? I hear this shit all the time. I eat 95%+ whole foods and I don't understand what exactly everybody is eating that is loaded with seedoils. Can you enlighten me?

Crackers, cookies, pastries, store bought bread, chips, fast food is fried in it and any there bread is made with it, chocolate bars, salad dressings, sauces, mayonaise, popcorn, nuts etc and etc. Which is why removing it regardless of its health implications is good. Because all your left with is real home cooked meals.

the mongols in your pic ate dairy so yogurt and milk and cheese though which has carbohydrates. That fact that you feel better just means you cut out the poisonous shit like grains, not that all carbs are bad

I remember reading that the romans would stop consuming meat and go full carbohydrates 2 weeks prior to battle, because meat is harder to digest and then could be caught sluggish. anyone whos had to have an extremely active job can attest to this. the modern human though is extremely sedentary so aside from maybe an hour of scheduled exercise they are sitting down all the time. so what they have to worry about is getting fat. Which is where Meat/Veggies come in. They are the most satiating food(most filling/longest to digest) per calorie so it's the hardest to get fat on and easiest to stay lean. which isn't the same as eating for performance. if anyone is telling me high level athletes arn't pounding away at carbs and go with these keto diets they are deluded.
