fricking true, if i didnt go to my gym to see girls around i would go back to clinical depression very quickly.
its the reason i go at peak hours.

This is completely untrue. I was at the gym yesterday with nobody around, and it was the greatest feeling. I could finally just think about life instead of worrying about the people around me. Then somebody came in and it reminded me why I will make a home gym if I can ever afford a house. Suddenly I was no longer left with my thoughts and had to think about the homosexual that had just come in.

You're a brain dead fricking moron. You will realize that once you get your home gym and you will suddenly start missing all of the convenient equipement that was availble in public gym. Home gym is a fricking meme, it's last resort.

I do have my own house and my own home gym. It's a fricking meme.

i know very few people who use home gyms as their primary gym and are actually IST
most people seem to build home gyms then they just collect dust after a few months
used goods marketplace is full of homegym memers selling their equipment

seems like home gyms are best used as an accessory, or backup to supplement permanent training spaces elsewhere

Convenient? Motherfricker, I get to have my pre workout on a nice comfy couch, toss on a pair of shoes and head into my garage to do as many set of whatever I want for as long as I want and no one bugs me.
When im done, I kick off my shoes, walk into my kitchen and carry on with my day.

How the frick is driving to a gym more convenient than that?

          yeah but no
I have a homegym, rogue squat stand with pull up bar, kettle to 28kg, a few elastic bands, the covered floor to do weightlifting and stuff

I don't have the drive and aggression to lift PRs at home
I usually get bored and cut short my workouts, while in the gym I kinda stay too long and have to come back

now I just go to the gym 1-2x / month and lift home the rest

if I knew COVID would be over that soon, I probably wouldn't have spent 5k into a home gym

Implying I want to make forced interactions with thots, chochols, smelly tribes from Caucasus mountains and other inferior element.

Lel maybe when your apartment is like 20 square metres, and even then owning a bench plus a pair of dumbbells can work out 95% of your body.

Looks damn impressive, my goal for the next 3 years is to build a separate building for a home gym and Finnish sauna.

        >Can workout when I want
        >Can listen to whatever I please.
        >Can mogg my neighbours and bypassers.
        >Can be blessed by our sun with based Vitamin D just by placing my bench/dumbbells/whatever outside the garage.
        >Can bone my wife on benches or a Roman bench.
        >Can workout and drink beer when it's hot.
        >Can give my kids a good example of ways of the white man.

Why do I need anything other than bar compound lifts and maybe some dumbbell work? Seriously most machines are a meme and inferior to compound lifts. Unless of course you're specifically training certain muscles for aesthetics then fair enough, but general strength and size you can get by with less

There really is that distinction. Its like one can feel the social mind turn on as soon as there is another person in ones field field of experience/ones sensory space. You can be in your own world and heavily active in your mind internally and then boom there appears the other person and you just feel that shift in your consciousness / being. Funny thing. Probably a introvert vs extrovert thing.

Why do you answer him as if his experience was factually wrong? He is saying how it affects him. And you guys go "uhm no" as if you have the right information about his experience of it. Which you clearly don't because you don't seem to understand that people are different and thrive in different environments. Which is a pretty basic fact of life observable on a wide range things so you should be in the know about that. But you are not. Yet you act so arrogantly confident you are. moron

Also the costs aren't worth it.

There's an element of truth to this, but every single time I've been to a public/uni/non-home gym I've been disappointed. Too many people, too little equipment, people act far too serious, gym staff are the gestapo, etc.

    >Youre better off working out at a big social gym
The only thing i like about regular gyms is the vast amount of machines for isolation, aside from that, i strongly dislike everything else, i hate to wait for my turn, i hate to alter the order of my workout based on what is available at the moment, i really dislike attention prostitutes (male and female) and i really don't like people talking to me while i'm lifting.
    >or outdoors in nature.
This i could see, however, i'm not interested in calisthenics.
I have my homegym in my backyard, next to some trees, and i have to admit that i like looking at the stars between sets.

For me lifting is kinda like taking a shit or brushing my teeth, it's not something i do as a hobby, it's just something i have to do for my body, and i sure as shit don't want to be talking with (or even looking at) someone while i do it.
