some people are not volume-pilled flavorcels who understand the power of a nice water-based broth which is just spice maxxed (0cals). Until then, they will fill the hunger pangs and bend the knee like gays and end up binging.
On some levels they are brainlets too if they still haven't figured out how to pacify a hungry stomach. Just fill it. And what is the easiest way to fill it - water + flavor. This is why broths or fruits like watermelon which are just sugar + water packed in fiber are extremely useful.
But I digress. The spice broth pill on the train to flavor town is the best way to target ''savory'' cravings.

Watermelon is probably the worst example of a fruit you could've picked.

lmao...no. The clear question here is how are people not able to reduce calories? Watermelon is literally 30cals/100g. Volume-wise you can distend your stomach to bloatlord level, architect level fetish eating 500g of it and would not even make a dent in your TDEE.
You can see an example of such a brainlet mentioned above. Fails to understand the basic requirements of diet which is = total caloric reduction using a satisfactory strategy of volume-maxxing low-calorie foods with high density (tucks you in, like fills you up to beyond contentment in terms of stomach fullness).
I can barely get 150g on top of my regular diet meals then I feel like in pain full for at least the next 6 hours.
        You sir need some help.

Wouldn't animal fat do far more for that than any fruit?
          Yikes.

at this point just come out and say you are an architect or some israelite trying to muddy the waters for people.
Whilst fat is essential and should be part of people's diet (consider it in your regular meals, even in a diet), it's certainly not the food type you should be volume maxxing.
1g of fat is 9calories. High fat foods are really caloric and do not allow you to satiate your stomach by eating a decent amount of it.
You really should be going for water-based fruits/vegetables, such as cucumbers, cantaloupes, watermelon, even cucumbers and spice-maxx low caloric broths or even vegetable soups (provided nothing is added, like pure 100% carrot soup).

Just look into high volume, low calorie foods. It's that easy.

            >I can barely get 150g on top of my regular diet meals then I feel like in pain full for at least the next 6 hours.
Sugars allow you to eat far beyond your satiety and increase your hunger, all for a weaker form of sustenance... only for you to be hungry again in a measly 6 hours.
Fruit eaters are so fricking dumb lmfao

Watermelon barely has any fiber at all, by the way. The volume of sugar water completely depletes the boons the fiber could've provided.

Don't listen to this moron fatties.
First of all, homosexual. I am 14%bf and most days I go almost 20hrs between meals and I can maintain that year round, okay. I eat within a 2-4hr window and eat roughly 1800 calories daily.
I also used to be overweight in the past. I know exactly what overweight people need. Their most common problem is craving sugars, and restricting the volume of their intake too much. They fail to prioritize food which will physically satisfy their distended stomachs at the benefit of flavor. Which is why flavor-maxxing using spicy broths/soups and eatng sweet fruit which is dense is the best piece of advice to give someone who just wants to reduce calories without depriving themselves, in order to lose weight.

Keep believing you are fighting some sort of holy jihad against the sugar israelite moron. I hate processed chemically made sugars just like any of you, but don't you fricking be a brainlet and start dissing on fructose and lactose, moron. There are some sugars that are 100% fine to consume. The natural ones, obviously.

You don't need to consume any sugars. You're a posterchild for the brainfog and neurodegeneration that a high-carb diet excels at.
That being said, to those who actually care about their sanity, I suggest eating high-fat, medium protein, low-to-no-carb. You'll feel sated and you won't need to count calories or endure hunger by drinking absurd amounts of liquid like some form of atomic-era snakeoil consoomer.

Bold of you to assume I consume a high carb diet.
Just because I mention eating 150g of watermelon here and there, you go on to assume I have brain fog and neurodegenaration ?
You don't know me moron. I eat mostly protein and fats, thanks very much. In fact I consume mostly vegetable stews with a high protein and fat content (ghee, butter, beef dripping/tallow, olive oil + some protein like chicken breast or lean beef).
You are the one suffering from brain rot, and the worst kind of extremist absolutist takes.
I am moderate-pilled to the max. You don't know me but this sugar boogeyman in your head seems quite scary. And all of this is coming from someone who particularly dislikes sweets and can only eat a few fruits (berries, melon family).
You suggest a lot of shit, almost as much as you assume. I never told people not to eat protein or fat. I told them, eat your well balanced meals, but f you feel like binging, or have a hunger pang, just use these high volume, low calorie foods to tuck you in.

Like honestly dude, calm your breasts. I get that you're on a holy crusade against sugars, but you are talking like the worst kind of control freak terrorist rght now, and it's doing nothing to help people with actual food addictions.

                >plants make you hungry and fat.
Okay, bold fricking statement dude. I'm not even gonna take your word for it. You are 100% out of touch and some absolutist zealot who raises the bar entirely way too high for fatties to hope to achieve anything with.
You seem insufferable as a person, and I feel bad for your friends, if you have any.

If any one of us is going to get some critical ailment which is entirely induced by their choices, I am willing to bet it's going to be the guy putting 100% of his eggs into one basket, as opposed to the guy who just eats moderately from everything (except the obvious hyper-processed chemical slop). Yep. Hedging your bets, diversifying your caloric portfolio will always be the safest strategy to avoid 100% pot commit into some critical disease. Oops yeah, it's called moderation moron. You must have some genetic predisposition to latch on to absolutist causes. Plants make you hungry and fat. I'm offering the solution that makes practical sense and isn't a diet, but their future sustainable lifestyle. They will reach their weight goals and not even feel like they're dieting.
I promise you, it gets better when you quit sugar. It's an addiction, not a necessity.
