How can I train running at home without equipment? I don't want to go outside before i can run around 3 miles without problems

    youre seriously afraid of some pedestrian judging you even though they will have no idea when you started jogging or for how long your session has been? jesus christ, no one is watching you keeping notes about weather or not youve been jogging for a reasonable time before you take a lil walking break and are gasping for air. just fucking go outside and do it you dickhead. show those people that you are interested in self improvement, and for all they know youve been jogging for hours. dumb shit

      They might, it's a small town and everyone knows everyone and the people are pretty judgemental. It would suck ass to get laughed at by some people while running and then keep seeing them in the store and everywhere else.

        but you think that they wouldnt laugh if you were out jogging 3 miles no problem? im not sure that the difference in the way you would look jogging sporadically as a completely beginner and having to stop sometimes versus jogging full 5ks is significant. at most, you would sometimes have to slow down and switch to walking, which i literally cant imagine someone judging you for. you shouldnt be jogging as a newbie to the point of ridiculous extreme exhaustion anyways, were talking about the difference between you just jogging, versus you just jogging, but occasionally you slow to a walking pace. i dont see that being a huge difference. if youre 500 lbs or something dont jog until youre thinner or youll fuck up your knees and shit. only other thing i can think of is for you to go out to some secluded area where you can jog in circles on some empty ass forest pathway or something if youre that afraid of being seen. no exercises in your home are gonna help unless you get a treadmill or a sort of shitty stationary bike or elliptical. if you wanna jog, you gotta jog, and i kinda doubt anyone will notice any difference between you jogging as a noob versus a 'novice' who can jog a 5k wihtout stopping. in the end you are just jogging and people might see you.

          I can't and won't do it in public and that's that. I would get a treadmill but my neighbors might get mad from the noices.

            i dont think youd want to jog around town even if you could jog a 5k, seems like. so you want to train running inside, but with no treadmill because it might be loud? then buy a 700 dollar elliptical. if you cant afford it, too fucking bad maybe running isnt for you if youre afraid of going outside. jog at night for christs sake, ive done that many times, not a god damn soul around. your neighbors would seriously get mad from the sound of someone using a treadmill? you could spend years gathering money for a nice elliptical, that granted wont make as much noise as a treadmill. but god damn dude. if you want decent cardio without going outside and arent trying to jog at all you can do like some burpee regiment or something, people definitely do that

                i feel like it should be well within your rights to do that especially cuz itll be like 30 minute segments a few times a week, especially at first. but if not you can try elliptical... its not completey the same as running though and doesnt translate 1:1 with running. maybe move the hell out of whatever shithole you live in before you get serious. moving with a big ass exercise equipment is a pain.

                i say either focus on something else for the time being before you get the fuck out of there, like maybe some basic weightlifting at home instead of cardio, or do like p90x 'home workout' type of thing where you do mainyl bodyweight exercises with no equipment, with some "cardio" exercises thrown in. at that level, you can just google this shit and try any of these https://www.verywellfit.com/step-by-step-cardio-exercises-for-home-workouts-1230827 .first google result. there is no hidden knowdlege regarding those type of routines, just google it and wing it. they arent the best frankly. but you do a bunch of burpees or whatever you can train your cardio somewhat. not gonna makje you better at running though. in the future, do try to either get some equipment or move tyhe fuck out. /thread

                running up the stairs over and over, some kind of... agility training thing where you go back and forth in a tiny room or something, all of that shit isnt gonna help you with running. look into those household generalized cardio regiments if you want some cardio but dont want to do any running at all. if you want to run, you need to actually run. maybe you can do zumba in the nude between episodes of your favorite chinese cartoon
