I think it's weak men who turn to veganism. Also rotten psychopaths who will use anything remotely resembling a cause to try and force their and harm others (note how many vegans also subscribe to multiple repulsive and nasty ideological groups).

      yes and no.
as a self-proclaimed promoter of the "healthiest lifestyle", you'd expect him to look amazing, no? he's 75, but he's never looked anywhere over dyel mode.
then you read him write things like
      >The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that men and women obtain 5% of their calories as protein. This would mean 38 grams of protein for a man burning 3000 calories a day and 29 grams for a woman using 2300 calories a day. This quantity of protein is impossible to avoid when daily calorie needs are met by unrefined starches and vegetables. For example, rice alone would provide 71 grams of highly useable protein and white potatoes would provide 64 grams of protein.8
and then he literally says that potatoes are enough to get daily protein and as little as 20g is ok.
kind of explains why he's always been dyel, no?

McDougall does look and function amazing for his age. True, he has never been a roided oiled up bodybuilder that you could wank your little homosexual dick at. On the other hand he has been consistently lean for decades without a single cardiovascular incident. He also has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

          >consistently lean for decades without a single cardiovascular incident.
so, he just lived a normal life or a normal guy? truly a fit of strength and a testament to the physical superiority of a man. you know, boomers who smoked and drank also lived to 75 with no problem.
          >He also has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
so what is it supposed to say? that at least he isn't infertile?
I'm not saying his diet is all bad, after all he ate a lot of veggies for sure. but he just has a diet of a Chinese peasant, and looks about the same. if you don't eat goyslop every day, surely you won't have much fat on your body, there's no arguing that

Not getting any heart disease of any kind is remarkable. Most people over age 30 have varying degrees of atherosclerosis. Bypass surgeries and stents are very common, ending up on meds to try to prevent those is even more common, 30 million people in USA on statins alone. He has none of those issues.

Staying consistently normal weight for decades is also remarkable in a country where 80% of people are overweight and 40% are obese. McDougall didn't live a normal life of a normal guy, he skipped all that.

Both those feats should be even more impressive to his haters like you especially since you claim it is the diet he is recommending that is causing obesity and heart disease.

Also nothing wrong with being on a Chinese peasant diet, those people doubled their numbers in one generation despite communist famines and purges ongoing. Meanwhile fat and meat heavy western diet is making us infertile with sperm quality and pcos incidence at all time high. Even the Chinese can't make kids anymore now that they have increased meat and dairy consumption radically since early 2000s.

With average western fertility below replacement rates, McDougall's 3 kids and 7 grandkids is an achievement also.

              >30 million people in USA on statins alone. He has none of those issues.
USA has 40% obesity. you said it yourself.
              >Staying consistently normal weight for decades is also remarkable
it's CICO, and low-fat diets could make you add less fat. I said this already, but just not eating too much is all it takes to lose weight. compared to fatties today—yes he's remarkable. compared to people in the 70s when obesity wasn't even 10% yet—not really. the world beyond America exists too you know? East Asian obesity rates are below 10% and they all eat meat.
              >Both those feats should be even more impressive to his haters like you especially since you claim it is the diet he is recommending that is causing obesity and heart disease.
you're on IST. people care about physical strength here. and his claim is not just that, he outright says you can do fine with just potatoes and rice for protein.
              >Even the Chinese can't make kids anymore now that they have increased meat and dairy consumption radically since early 2000s.
I see, you're a schizo. you do you I guess
              >With average western fertility below replacement rates, McDougall's 3 kids and 7 grandkids is an achievement also.
fricking doesn't need much strength or energy. with standards like these, you could call any anorexic's weight "an achievement". which is already what every vegan does, by the way.

I'm glad you admit low-fat diets are good for weight control. Again, in total opposite of what his haters claim. Thanks.

Not becoming infertile, obese or get heart disease is still not good enough for you to prove it's a good diet. Got to have body builder physique. But he's not advertising it as a body builder diet. Despite that you attack him for not having body builder physique at age 75. Do you really think what you are doing is sane?

Chinese are having less babies and more infertility than ever despite lifting of 1-child policy. I repeat: they are below 1 child policy fertility numbers now.

Screech all you want, 3 children is way above western average, and that happened on a diet his haters claim causes infertility.

                >Screech all you want, 3 children is way above western average, and that happened on a diet his haters claim causes infertility.
please stop. having less children is first and foremost the result of women entering workforce and decades of liberal propaganda that "family life enslaves women", "muh career comes first, freeze your eggs", etc.
conservatives still have children. actually, it's the redditor types who support veganism who also promote childfree and other degeneracy.
also, they eat lots of meat in Middle East, and they still have enough children. I don't think Chinese were ever vegan. Japan used to be near vegan at some point, and they consume lots of rice; yet their birth rates are below replacement levels, how do you explain that?

The way saturated fat causes infertility is well known enough. Not only in form of erectile dysfunction and dry vegana but literally killing gametes.

That the correlation line only goes one way on population level (meat consumption goes up, fertility crashes) is merely an icing on the cake.

It's also very counter-productive to your overall narratrive to start suddenly claiming vegans are more active and fit than general population when the usual narrative you fellas give is that vegans are tired and frail.

Tell me the exact mechanism that makes saturated fats lead to infertility. The BEST argument you can weasel here is that sat fat causes obesity(which it doesnt) and obesity leads to reduced sperm count and quality.

                Anonymous

I personally don't know the exact mechanism. But I know eating saturated fat makes sperm immobile and invalid and crashes sperm count from all studies I've seen. It also does something to women by increasing pcos which is also common infertility reason. It's very much chemical castration on humans.

                >Not becoming infertile
                >Grasping at straws this hard
Americans replacement rate is not because of diet induced infertility, when you have women taking birth control form age 14-35 then trying to have kids once they’ve finally decided to “settle down”, after decades of israeli propaganda telling them to be prostitutes and have abortions.

You can look at him and see that he is obviously aging incredibly quickly, just because he’s not a fat frick you think this is a miracle diet, as if goyslop is what we should be using as a control for a standard diet.

So yeah, in short, you’re right. Eating a low cal diet of primarily vegetable starches is better than 4000 kcals of onions oil and HFCS (also both plant based BTW)

Again, physical infertility. Fertility clinics wouldn't exist let alone be as swamped with clientele if everything was well on that front.

You think physical infertility is not affected by age or women being on hormone birth control for the entirety of their lives until they try for a family at age 35?

You’re even more moronic than I thought. Probably due to diet related brain degeneration.

Of course it is. But those people you described are not the only clientele of fertility clinics and you know it. Or should know.

weight loss boils down to CICO. virtually any diet will work with CICO approach, be it this or keto or whatever. the question is 1) whether you get nutrient deficiencies, 2) can you keep muscle on it. low-fat might even have edge in losing weight over low-carb, but again, this is CICO and we're on IST, not weight loss forums.
                >But he's not advertising it as a body builder diet.
the thread was literally about him looking like a dyel. thats it. he also looks pretty dead for a 75yo. my grandfather looked better at 80 and he used to be an alcoholic and obese. that's first.
second, he still makes misleading claims about human requirements for protein—like the one I mentioned on 20g protein a day from a fricking starch being enough. and he also advertises his diet as the most optimal, healthy diet that we should all adopt. he should at least acknowledge it as being shit for BB. if he just advertised it as weight loss-only solution, that'd be great—but he doesn't. he continues preaching vegan bullshit about protein.
no wonder low-fat, high carb approach only worked in running and cardio heavy sports—it's the only place where it can work.

Yes, the thread was about him looking like dyel "despite" him never doing bodybuilding, never saying that his diet is for bodybuilding, and he being 75 years old (sarcasm).
Let me ask again: Do you really think what you are doing is sane?

                >muh Chinese
Less children is a natural byproduct of living in cities, and China has finally urbanized. Combine that with Chinese adults not feeling financially stable, and their fertility rate is about 1.3, in line with other urbanized East Asians like the Japanese, SKoreans, Taiwanese, etc.

He looks a tiny bit kiky now that you mention it. If he has the name because of a israeli ancestor, maybe his israeli genes are racemixed into nothingness and his mom is a goy. I didn't find any evidence he's a real israelite

              >Meanwhile fat and meat heavy western diet is making us infertile with sperm quality and pcos incidence at all time high.

Buddy Hong Kong has the highest life expectancy in the world and they are also the highest meat consumers in the world per capita. Yeah they eat a lot of fish, but they also eat huge amounts of pork. When it comes to beef, they are the third highest consumers in the world.

It's not meat that's causing issues. Its more likely PUFA's.

I removed PUFAs from my diet and it's amazing the difference they make when I add them back in. In a bad way I mean.
I can literally detect that somebody slipped some shitty PUFA oil into my food days after the fact.

Yeah Im month 3 now of no pufa's and I dropped 11lb (206 to 195) and I feel better. Did a brutal 30 day elimination method where I ate extremely low fat to try and burn up pufa reserves and it sucked. But normally it takes years to burn up those reserves so I think it was worth it. But my body temp is consistently higher now and I just feel better. I cant even say if having PUFA now will frick me up since I dont even want to try eating foods with it now. I dont bother eating anything while out with people unless they have steak, and even with that I have to ask them not to oil the pan when they cook it.

                >Yeah Im month 3 now of no pufa's and I dropped 11lb (206 to 195) and I feel better.
                I'm like 7months myself.
What I noticed is my stuborn lower ab fat going away slowly but steadily.
Now I'm quite lean all over my body, but that fat pouch as been with me most of my adult life. Removed PUFA, don't count calories, nothing different, and it's slowly going away.
But the main thing I noticed within a day of eating PUFA is inflammation, either on my skin near the nose, on either side it gets inflamed and then later flaky. Or how much liquid my legs hold and how much "denting" happens when I press a hard object into my legs.
It's fricking stupid and amazing at the same time, that you can see if I had PUFA literally on my face in the form of flaking.
And no, just eat more omega 3 doesn't work, it helps of course, I eat fish liver and oil daily. But the only thing that keeps that part of the skin from flaring up is not eating PUFA.
Just a single meal cooked in seed oils, is enough to leave it's mark on me for a couple of days.
                It's ridiculous.
I keep thinking maybe I'm too sensitive to this shit, unlike normies that can eat the goyslop day in and day out.
But then maybe it's a blessing in disguise, that I can notice the shit pufa does to me so fast and strongly.

In a similar manner I regulate my carbs. A single pimple on my face small or large tells me how my body is handling all the sugar.
Two things I noticed was that avoiding things like bananas and sugary/candy keeps my skin clear and pristine.
My body handles things like bread or potatoes, glucose far better than it handles fructose(and sugar is half fructose).
Depending on how much I physically do, my body can handle more glucose specifically just fine, unlike sugary shit.

                > I dont even want to try eating foods with it now.
Happens by accident for me when I let somebody else cook.
                >and even with that I have to ask them not to oil the pan when they cook it.
Yeah kinda nuts how it's in everything.

It is the meat and other saturated fat sources causing issues. You pulled that random PUFA scare right out your butthole and nowhere else with no backing to it whatsoever. Unbelievable.

                >No association was found between semen quality and intake of dietary fats.
                >Conclusions: Based on the findings of this study and the prevalence of infertility in recent decades, changes in diet and saturated fatty acids intake may improve semen quality.
                the frick is this?

Just your illiteracy showing. Right above it reads sperm count goes down with increased saturated fat.

    >all these vegan atheists coping with "HE'S OLD"
Then why is he and his followers shilling themselves as these longevity and sports performance gurus? You really think the reason he has 0 muscle mass, low blood pressure and no bone density has nothing to do with his 40g of bean protein a day and no more diet? What is the fricking point of this diet if it:
    >doesn't boost performance (lowers performance actually)
    >doesn't make you feel good (fiber bloat)
    >doesn't make you age gracefully
Why are you dying on the hill for this cult leader who tells people that essential amino acids are poison. His own words exactly, "POISON."

Because he's right. I'm also not seeing any debunks of what he is saying from any of you. All you do is point at how old he is, how he isn't a bodybuilder, and how absurd you think things he says are. But is he wrong? I don't think so, you'd have proven that long time ago. Shawn Baker for example regularly attacks looks of McDougall and Greger, but not once has that moronic ape with even more moronic folllowers actually shown where they are wrong.

Meat is bad for human health.

I personally don't know the exact mechanism. But I know eating saturated fat makes sperm immobile and invalid and crashes sperm count from all studies I've seen. It also does something to women by increasing pcos which is also common infertility reason. It's very much chemical castration on humans.

It is the meat and other saturated fat sources causing issues. You pulled that random PUFA scare right out your butthole and nowhere else with no backing to it whatsoever. Unbelievable.
