    this is a 100m

    a marathon lasts like hours while a 100m competition barely lasts 10 seconds, yet people running marathons or riding bikes are skeleton manlets while 100m dudes definitely hit the weights
    the point is in the intensity of the exercise even if applied for a very short period of time, if you don't train strength (either with weights or calisthenics) you will not grow because you do nothing to stimulate the muscle growth in the first place
    thus you want to train endurance
    btw to people that shit on calisthenics a quick reminder that

    >you will never do a pullup/muscle up/lever (basic calisthenics skills)
    >modern calisthenics is weighted calisthenics, same training principles from weightlifting apply except you are not a useless powershitter
