Relating this picture to humans, I am convinced people who were raised in urban apartment blocks don't have souls. I can't imagine what it must be like to be a child and not be able to open the door and walk out into a yard, into nature. The people raised in these conditions are not human, but something lower. They are the equivalent of factory raised livestock, crammed into tight little boxes with only enough space for basic survival, no thought put into comfort whatsoever.

People in suburbia and the countryside can leave their houses at any point because there's nothing to do, it's a low-stimulus environment.

It's a healthy level of stimulus. Humans are intended to exist in nature. You crave constant stimulus because your brain has been fried from the chaotic noise and clutter of the inhuman, artificial environment of the city.

Humans are intended to prosper and control nature, if the amount of actions and information the new generations are expected to perform and internalize is not increasing then civilization has stagnated

I mean there is nothing to do, I don't know how make this sentence clearer than it is

I want to be the devil's advocate here.
"Nothing to do" as in "you can't really do anything direct to change or stimulate your environment". You can't hike, because wherever you go is the same over and over again.
You can't build a new shed, because you need a permit, which you won't reeeallly get. There are places even in suburbia where you are forbidden to turn your lawn into a garden. You can't really do stuff that'd cause inconvenience, like fermenting cheese or other smelly stuff, raise livestock, let your dog off the leash, etc.
You can't really play loud music or party, outside of "designated party places".

Might have explained wrong, correct me if I did, but these are examples of "things to do" that you really cannot in urban, block, and suburban environments....

That first anon is saying there's nothing to do in a country house environment, you got it the wrong way around.
            That said:
            >You can't build a new shed, because you need a permit
I'm glad I don't live in an HOA. This sort of micromanagement isn't a thing where I'm from unless you sign it away yourself.

You're right, I've misread that. So he's just moronic.

        >there's nothing to do
You're going to have to explain how you think there's less to do at a home in the countryside than a modern apartment. Having property opens up your options for entertainment and busywork quite a bit with being able to raise an extensive garden, have a workshop, have space to play and exercise without having to go to a gym or park, etc. Modern internet is also good enough you don't lose out on gaming or the like either. You've also got better space to raise animals like dogs or other pets that need to get out and move.

I agree suburbs are a low stimulus environment but still better than an apartment since you still have way more space unless you're in one of those weird townhouse hellscapes.

Wife is like that, can confirm.

Would rather live in soviet built panel home that in a detached house with garden.
Not because it's cheaper (it really isn't), but because "it's in the city and not bumfrick nowhere" and "central heating" and "stores are close by".
She literally does not care about neighbors hearing every chair pull, bath and whatnot. Or that I will not EVER consent to having a dog in a panel home because imo that's torture for both the lil'bastard, and humans, even if she wanted one. She's "vegan" (or, attempts it from time to time), cares for homosexuals (but if any in her family would die she'd act surprised, as if she cared...this only came clear after a year after marriage. Be careful dudes, find a girl who's consistent in what she stands for, preferably one who enjoys nature with you.

By the time you understand the importance of this it will be too late for you, your parents fricked you up and you will have no offspring to raise better, and so the spiral continues ever downwards for the dumb and poor.

Do shit that you don't want to do.

I'm not saying that you should stick needles under your fingernails but you should escape from your comfort zone.

Meet new people even if you feel shy or don't see the value in it. Work out, because you will spend the majority of your life as a 30+ years old. Get an education so you can provide for those you want to provide for ect.

Maximize time spent outside, time spent physically active, time spent engaging with others, and time spent experiencing novelty. To do this, build habits and routines which automatically spend your time in these ways.

For example, obligate yourself to a weekly football match with friends, or a morning jog, or take boxing/bjj with some friends, or go rock climbing, or skiing, or swimming. Find friends with whom you can regularly dabble into new and novel pastimes with. Have a weekly, biweekly, or monthly dinner, where one member of the party cooks and hosts all the others, and you're all in rotation to host. Grill out with friends when it's nice. Find a group with whom you have a repeating movie night, or regularly go out to eat somewhere new. Start a book club if you like reading. Take dancing lessons with a girl. Go to local exhibits. Volunteer at a church or a food pantry. Go somewhere new when given the opportunity.

I actually studied psychology for a few years before ((2020)) and here's my more or less informed opinion

    >brain does well with easy things
    >setup your environment to make it as easy as possible to do positive things like read books, workout, cook proper food, stay clean and hygienic, etc
    >reduce temptations in your environment; do not keep sugary drinks in your fridge, do not keep alcohol or tobacco in your home, etc, etc

Studies have shown it's easier to remove a temptation for a bad habit from your environment than it is to repeatedly resist the bad habit. The inverse is also sort of true. The more you have stuff in your environment that reinforces confidence or helps you build good habits the more often you'll use it and have those positive effects.

I understand this is vague in some ways and maybe too specific in others but the general idea is to optimize to your own goals.
