having a reminder to exercise, to watch what I eat or both?

Drop sodas and juices. Drop alcohol and candies. Walk 10,000 steps a day. Eat Whole Foods and cooked meals consisted of Whole Foods. Drink plenty of water.

For breakfast boil some oatmeal in milk. Chop in some bananas, strawberries, some peanut butter, and chia seeds. It should satiate you until lunch.

Use TDEE calculator and cut 500 calories below your maintenance. Adjust for each time you lose 10-15 lbs.
Drinking water and staying hydrated definitely helps keep you full. Skipping meals isn't always the best thing, just choose your food better and stay off sugary shit (chocolate, candy, soda, fast food) completely or as much as possible.
      >t. Lost 60lbs in the last year from Gym 5x a week and counting calories
If a sweet tooth fatass who can down a large pizza in 5 minutes do it, so can you OP!

You eat less than you need to maintain. Duh.

Don't fricking starve yourself. Eat nutrient dense foods like meat, eggs, and milk so you're actually satiated. Use vegetables for variety.

      got it

This may sound like a moronic question with an obvious answer, but i'm inclined to ask, how do you actually keep up with not eating candies, chocolates, and sodas? How do you stop consuming more than usual?
I'm not a fat ass yet, but i've been developing a sweet tooth habit, since i sell all that stuff at my job it's hard to keep my mind distracted. Sometimes it worries me.

      This, OP.
COUNT YOUR CALORIES. Use whatever app you want, or even a piece of paper and make sure not to stray inputting your intakes.
You may think something small might be innocuous but it could actually be calorie dense therefore counting against your weight loss.

Make sure to have a limit and not stray from it.
So calculate your usual meals and approximately how many treats you want to give yourself a day. Like maybe 1 donut, but you subtract some calories or eat something less calorie dense in your lunch (like skip the mayo or extra cheese on the burger, or do a salad instead of rice) to make up for it. You gotta play with the numbers.

The most likely reason is that you eat too much processed food, and too little fats and protein. So your body is starving for nutrients. Cut out the processed crap and you will loose weight without even trying.

Yeah literally also cook the only meal you eat and just get into a routine with that after a while you just adjust to the calorie intake and eating more makes you feel sick what I did when I lost 100 pounds over 6ish months was not eating anything all day (sometimes i would drink a soda at linch for the sugar to hold me over but only one) and I would make one cup of rice with a fried egg and whole milk if you mix in some cardio or any exercise at all it will also speed it up and help your skin tighten up faster since if you only diet you will end up like an empty bag for a while

Skipping meals will slow down your metabolism.
What you want to do is keep eating three times a day but make your portions smaller every week until you are at the calorie deficit and slowly lose weight so you can actually keep it off.

Take it from me. I went the intermittent fasting route and now my metabolism is slow as frick.

Needless to say try to be more active. Just go out for walks even if it's 5 minutes at the time. Try to find something you like that will burn calories for example sightseeing in nature, bike riding or any type of sports even swimming.

Skipping doesn't work because you'll just binge eat later and overcompensate. Actually track your calories to make sure you're eating a deficit.

    Be more active
    eat less calories

The most important thing about a diet is that you can maintain it, as long as you have no problems maintaining it (and it obviously gives you the nutrients you need) it doesn't need to be extreme because it'll lose weight over time. If you get a diet that's too extreme you'll quit it & just put it back on

    Drink alot of water.
    Eat less food.
Its that simple- if you truly want to lose weight skipping meals and eating small portions will do the trick.
Just make sure you don't cheat and backtrack because the weight can come back quickly with this method.
You never see a fat person in a concentration camp or a fat person in Ethiopia.
That's because they're not eating. Limit your consumption.
    Good luck OP.

All the anons are right, you need to reduce thag calorie intake. If you're autistic you can read a nutrition textbook and count your nutrients.
I would just add that you need to start slow when exercising otherwise you'll frick up your joints and get injuries if you're fat enough

The only thing that worked for me was intermitted fasting so eating only once or twice a day and eating less than 50 carbs and no sugar, lost 30KG in 4 months. Didnt count anything else didnt exercise.

ALL crash diets yo=yo back up once you stop them. To lose weight you have to go slowly. Aim for just 1 or 2 pounds a week.

Eat what you normally do, just less. One sandwich, not two. No second helpings. Skip one snack a day.

And do what exercise you normally do, just more. You don't need a gym - just walk more. Use stairs, not elevators. Ride a bike.

Just get sick enough you won't be able to eat much without your belly hurting, i.e. get the flu. I lost 5 lbs that way, haven't get them back yet and hopefully never.

Drinking a lot of water is a great idea. Don't drink any sweet drinks and don't eat too much junk food
