Well, then I would suggest you to try cutting all carbs, just plain all carbs. Ofcourse everything has some amounts of carbs, but no sugar is the key.
I'm 6'2'' so I don't know how much you should starve yourself but I have dropped from 210 lbs to 182 lbs in 2 months and still have about 30 lbs to go. It's really doable but it depends 100% on your own ability to control your diet and getting in the regural exercise.
If you don't mind sharing your height and weight, it would put some perspective to what you should start.
But counting calories is the main thing, and losing all the carbs and especially sugars in your diet.
Remember to drink water and stay hydrated during dieting.
