yes and no
i like liver by itself
i dont like eating more than 100g cause its toxic and it shows
liver is the og milksteak, soak it for an hour and cook it medium rare with onions, garlic, lots of beef fat or butter, dont overcook it or it will be dry and pasty, you need em juices, season just before serving
i rarely eat it anymore, but i used to buy a slab of pork liver or beef, about a pound, and eat it in a day, or buy 2 packs of chicken livers, each a pound as well
for several days i got dehydrated, stabbed in the kidneys, bloated, and trembling from headaches
it was extremely good, unique in its taste and texture, and filling, i could only eat liver and nothing else really, the consequences were a bit too much tho
Cut it into thin strips and fry it in butter, or chop it up and add it to regular hamburger then cook burgers/tacos/shepard's pie(cottage pie), meatloaf, whatever you use hamburger for. Pretty much unnoticable.
rn ? yes
im amazed 1st world got tricked into eating organ meat relatively recently
we always ate anything except bowels and trachea
heart>liver>lung>stomach>bladder>pancreas>eyes>head
top 3 are actual delicacies and are good for you, others only if youre desperate
liver is a staple, its widespread and cheap, but lungs and hearts arent really all that popular, but baked or sauteed, whilst a bit chewy and sinewy, make a good snack
rarely used, if we had our cow butchered, wed pull out the tongue, if it was a sow, wed make aHispanic out of it
never bothered with brains cause we dont really want to cook brains that much, and i dont think anyone knew, also eating raw brains could be unpleasant when youve got a hospital an hour away from you
What does brain taste like? Last person I saw use it was Roland Welker on season 7 of Alone, he used to to oil his gloves instead of eating it and kept it in the bull's nut sack.
That doesn't exactly endorse it to me.
Somewhat, I like it fried up with onions or used in spaghetti cut into small straps. You don't need to soak it in milk but for a lot of people they find that it helps (personally like the strong liver taste) just make sure to wash it before you cook even if you're not soaking in milk.
The one thing you really need to be careful about is eating too much, with something like tuna you gotta eat a lot everyday to start seeing mercury toxicity, there is so much Iron in liver that you'll get Iron poisoning pretty quickly if you try to use it as a main source of protein, do it once or twice a week and you'll be good.

when i was a kid my best friends parents made some weird pork brain dish. they said it was delicious, creamy and savory.
never tried it myself though.
>junk
It's the first thing predators eat. Some time it's the only thing thing they eat. Like when orca kill sharks, they only eat the liver.
It’s good with fried onions
