    You eliminate the sources of stress in your life.
    Also you eat more carbs, especially sugar, in order to regulate your hormones. Excessive fat makes you fat.

    Drink more water and fill up on veggies and lean protein. Cut out all high carb foods (bread, pasta, rice) if you're trying to lose weight, substitute with more veggies. Simple as.

    Start tracking macros and eat lots of lean protein. Fast food burgers don't count - those are mostly carbs, salt, and fat with not enough protein to be with the drawbacks. Stick to chicken and fish, baked or grilled - never fried (watch it on the sodium too). Beans are also god tier. Also vegetables raw, grilled or steamed - never fried. Vegetables will fill your stomach for way less calories, lean protein will help you feel full longer. Drink plenty of water, too.

    Eat smaller meals more frequently, and make sure you eat breakfast.If you're the type that always feels the need to clean their plate, use smaller plates.

    I've heard people say intermittent fasting or OMAD helped reset their appetite so they weren't constantly hungry, but I've never tried it myself so I can't vouch for it. It also seems like it would prevent you from developing proper eating habits along they way, and increase the chances of you rebounding and gaining weight again once you hop off.

    Avoid fad diets as well. Keto/South Beach/Atkins/Whatever the frick they're calling it this week is bullshit. Veganism is bullshit too , and it's more religion than diet.

    Beyond that, just develop some fricking willpower.

            It worked for me, but in combination with everything else. It's not a total solution, and a smaller plates doesn't mean shit if it's filled with slop. It's pretty much just for training wheels for learning portion control.

    just don’t. it really is that simple. just don’t eat so much food.

    if you’re mentally broken and just HAVE to shove stuff into your mouth, make it a ton of fruits or vegetables. you’ll get the “enjoyment” (wtf) of chewing a ton of shit but at least it will have more vitamins and minerals, less calories, and will likely fill you up before you consume too much. it will get boring though. takes a lot of energy and determination to eat a pound of apples or broccoli.

    Willpower yourself to eat smaller amounts. Then eat less frequently.
    Once your stomach shrinks after a couple days it's easy.
