How do you cope with the knowledge that you'll eventually grow older and start deteriorating, both in looks and strength?

How do you cope with the knowledge that you'll eventually grow older and start deteriorating, both in looks and strength? Healthy eating and habits can only delay the inevitable progress of time so much. You have a few golden decades and from then on out it's all downhill.
Looking up pictures of old but shredded dudes gives you results like picrel but how common even is that if you're not roiding AND a genetic freak? Even Arnold looks like a blob now.

Simple, by then my priorities will have changed from being fit and looking good to taking care of a family. If that hasn’t happened, then you’re right, it was all a waste.

That won’t happen to me though. I am young and immortal and will be forever.

You can always look good for your age, even as time matches on.

I habe 2 degenerating Discs in my lumbar spine and I’m only 23. They fricking hurt a lot sometimes. I’ve made my core tough as iron but the only real solution is disc replacement surgery. I still work out even though it increases the damage to them because I refuse to look like a weak homosexual (obviously with lighter weights, never hitting 1234)

I’m killing myself the moment my mom dies. As her only kid it would be too hard for her to take me going first. I honestly think we should live in a version of Logans Run and just fricking off people at 25.

I don't care, I don't waste time thinking about inevitable things I have no control over. Can't imagine a more moronic and miserable way to live your life

I don't need to cope with it, it's natural and happens to everyone. It's like saying how do you cope being 25 year when you were 7 year old. There's nothing to cope. I'll have completely different mindset at that age. You grow out of being concerned with meaningless things and things you can't control.

When I'm old I'm probably going to be happy just to have food on my plate, have a nap and die soon. I'm not wishing, man I wish I could be like zyzz and go have a party!

Arnold looks very good for his age. Life has a start and an end. All you can do is try and be your best at each stage in between

The future is a schizophrenic projection, the past is a badly misremembered hallucination, the only thing that exists is the present moment that passes to the next before you can finish speaking of it. I don't worry about the future because it doesn't exist. Live now, it's the only time you ever will.

I don't. After I hit 30 it's been a fricking nightmare and taunting me for the last 2 whole years.

Forever fighting with the idea of my mortality and I never lived a life that I wanted deep down.

Arnold does not "look like a blob now", he did fall into bad habits however.

There's no "cope"ing involved, you can be 80 and completely happy. While it's important to do your best, happiness doesn't come from how well you're performing or how good you look, especially if it's of your control. Check a real 80 year old and see if they're happy, chances are they are, don't ask these miserable moron incels on IST as they will try to pull everyone down and succeed if you let them.

It's just a waste of time dwelling on things out of your control.
Take ownership of everything you can and shed the rest.
At 50, you won't be thinking 'why don't I look like prime Arnold'. You'll be proud of what you've done versus other men of the same age.

far away from what I could do when I was younger but still way above the other fatsos my age

Also enjoying the family, house and business I built during these years it's better than brooding on not being able to do 1,2,3,4 anymore
