How do you fight depression?

Been unemployed for 6 months (finally got a new job though) and living with my parents. Constant low levels of activity have made my depressed unfortunately. Energy levels extremely low. Hopelessness etc. How to improve?

      Always waking up before 0800. Sleep schedule is not a problem for me. I'm too old for that. Diet could be better, however. Eggs, chicken breats, fish, yoghurt, a lot of processed crap like candy unfortunately. Regular fasts. Exercise consists of 3h walks daily and 5km jogging 2 times per week.

    I feel low energy and hopeless.

    But I’m nothing like you described.
    I’m hard working. I have a job and I’m a full time college student. I lift regularly and consistently. I have a few friends who I talk to regularly. I do live with my parents though.

    This week I’ve felt so depressed I can’t even get myself to go to the gym, which usually isn’t an issue. Usually I feel depressed but I just tell myself to get over it but this time it feels worse and I can’t.
