why would you do hammer curls for forearms...?

      Because it helps build forearms

brachialis will make the top of your forearm bigger, wont do much for the rest of it.

try doing wristcurls and then preacher hammer curls after.

Use a wrist roller (I got mine for £10 and it just uses normal weights) and do barbell finger rolls. Then do deadhangs if youre able to. Then move from deadhangs to doing a finger only grip

tell me one reason having biceps is practical. If you lift for aesthetics you are a homosexual.

Aesthetics assist in promotions in our vapid office culture and I'm going to bring in as much momey for my children as possible.

Practical for what? Are you a fricking lumberjack? What do you need muscle for? And don't tell me you need it for your blue collar job because I have one and half the guys are fat as frick or skeletons. A fight? Just carry a gun why take the risk. Lifting as much as you can? Literally who cares its an arbitrary number. Health? Running is better for that. Everybody lifts for aesthetics who isn't competing.

Try heavy barbell curls and tell me they aren't functional. It's literally for carrying anything you've picked up. Not everything can be held at arm's length in some gorilla deadlift position.

This. Anyone saying that biceps are not functional are just coping because they have small/weak arms
I helped my friend move a few months ago and my biceps were the first muscles to get sore after carrying furniture and heavy boxes

this is what i was gonna say
nothing will make your forearms big like a mad c**t like some rock climbing
get your ass to your local climbing wall and spend even 2 hours a week
after your first session you will understand

I am just like you OP. Tall with long, skinny forearms. It´s a result of having thin wrists, which I´m guessing you have? I think we just have to accept our fate and wear vests/short t-shirts to show off our ´cep gains. I have seen other guys at the gym with thin wrists/skinny forearms but huge biceps/triceps and it looks fine.

If you homosexuals decided to train hard it would grow. I thought I was in your camp but my dad had decent forearms.
So I trained them hard and early in the workout.
      BOOM they grew.

tell me one reason having biceps is practical. If you lift for aesthetics you are a homosexual.

Good luck lifting anything in front of you in a curl like motion without them.
Or holding anything in your arms.

wrists only get bigger when you gain fat, and even then, it's one of the last places to get fatter.
Bottom line, your wrists are not something you can build.

Anything that trains your grip also trains your forearms. There are some
dedicated exercises though. Regular dead hangs help with this (progress by hanging for longer times). Farmer’s walks are also good for this
