    It works.
You just have to keep it on your hair in the shower for like 10 minutes and then rinse it off.

Resdan keeps my dandruff away, might be a bit expensive compared to regular shampoo, but once your dandruff is gone, you can use it once per 2 weeks and it'll stay away. its quite strong so its advisable to not use it too often

bro i wish i could tell you. i had really bad dandruff as a kid-teenager and i fuckin hated it. only thing ive done differently (to my knowledge) was i started buzzing my hair off as an adult and i drink a lot more water. i used head and shoulders once on vacation at a friends house and it came back for a couple days. went away once i went back to my normal routine. ill never touch the stuff again.

id personally advise away from that shit. i dont trust it. but i also refuse to use microwaves. might be schizo shit so take it with a grain of sand.

head and shoulders makes it worse intentionally to keep you buying it
stop shampooing all together, rinse hair with cold water and use conditioner as needed
this was common knowledge on old IST and IST, crazy to see all you zoomers assuming you need more chemicals on your body to fix shit

Dandruff is caused by androgens causing increased sebum in the scalp which causes microorganisms to run wild.

I tried to fix it for a long time but at some point I just gave up. I have around 2 pounds of dandruff on my head as I write. I just try not to shake my head too often.

Head and shoulders is probably the worst thing you can use for dandruff.

You want a shampoo that contains ketoconazole. And if that dries out your hair too much, you can use apple cider vinegar. Both of these will eliminate the fungus that we call dandruff

Coconut oil. Rub it into your scalp and leave overnight. When you wash it out make sure you rub soap all over the floor of your tub because it is an oil and will not break down without a base. And will make your tub slick. Do this once a week and you won’t have dandruff

Literally just start washing your hair only with water. Use non chemical shampoo when your hair gets dirty or once a week. For the shower gel also use something low on chemicals.

the best cure is swimming in the ocean. that might not be feasible but it will get you think why it salt water cures it. you can fix the ecosystem on your skin with diet, stop eating so many carbs. dilute apple cidre vinegare 1:4 with water and rinse your face and scap - soap raises the ph of your skin and this helps lower it to healthy levels. MCT oil is anti fungal, mix it with an essential oil like rosemary oil (smelly) and use an eyedropper for your scalp and face.

I quit shampoo for good 2 years ago, no dandruff anymore, hair is healthy, thick and curvy. I had really bad dandruff before.
Of course you can't quit shampoo outright, you do it bit by bit. Like progressive overload.

It's fucking annoying, I wanted to do nopoo and my hair looked great for about a week before my dandruff came back strong, I'm dependent on that shit

please tell me more on how you went about quitting poo

I used to have really greasy hair, to the point where I had to use shampoo every single morning.
So I started showering every two days instead, then 3, and so on. At the time i also used topical clobetasol to fix the dandruff. But of course, because I was using shampoo, it always came back.
After I could do without shampoo, I did a week on clobetasol, and my dandruff never came back.

    Antifungals are good.

This may be bs but it stopped my friends hair smelling of crap: fungi feed on bacteria, so every so often he just soaked his head with alcohol (like the shit they told you to rub your hands with during the scamdemic).

Thats what my friend told me. (He was the one with the problem).

      >soaked his head with alcohol (like the shit they told you to rub your hands with during the scamdemic).
It might work but at what cost? Dousing your scalp in alcohol is fucking stupid when there are other anti-fungals that do much less damage to the underlying skin

    Its a dietary thing
    I get it from wheats
carbs in general can cause skin problems

Iv been carnoviour for few months and I tried adding tortillas to it so i can make pizzas but the dandruff got back in few days of eating those. Its not tomato and not cheese so it can only be the tortilla.
If you have really simple and fulfilling diet you could experiment which causes yours

go keto and never ever eat sugar and never put anything on your hair that feeds fungus, which is most shampoos BTW...

I used to get dandruff, but don't any longer.
I buzzed my hair over covid and used really aggressive cleansing poos. Then let my hair grow back while only using a gentle poo once or twice a week.
I think the buzzing and cleansing gave my scalp a much needed reset.

It's been posted in bits and pieces so far but it is both diet and a fungal problem. Cut out all non-fruit sugars and sweeteners including lactose, limit high sugar fruits, no alcohol, no grains besides white rice or quinoa. Lots of meat/eggs and vegetables(add jalapenos and brussel sprouts if you don't eat these already). Eat a spoon of coconut oil every day and rub some into your scalp. Don't put anything else into your hair but water, no hot water, and dry it thoroughly and immediately. And I know this is hard for us but limit caffeine too. After maybe a couple months you can add stuff back in slowly like yogurt, more fruit, etc.

Longtime sebderm sufferer here. Many treatments have been posted ITT but I want to mention something else. This is an extremely finnicky condition. It might take you years to find something that actually works on a consistent basis. I've used everything from cortecosteroids to nizoral to ketoconazol to diluted vinegar. Some of them work but the effects wear off in a few months and flare ups become more consistent. Unfortunately it's going to be trial and error until you find something that works on a permanent basis.

I finally found a dermo that specializes in it and he prescribed me 3 daily creams that are a blend of active ingredients he came up with (I guess). I still get a flare up every 2 weeks or so but it's more mild and 2-3 days of a corticosteroid clears it up and then I can maintain with the treatment. Corticosteroids are the most effective imo but prolonged usage can cause skin thinning so it's not recommended.

I only get flakes when there is drastic weather changing colder. At the start of winter I will get a few weeks, but we just had a cold front so I have some flaky hair now. I assume that this would just be dry skin though. Also I unfortunately have to wear a hard hat for work which I think exacerbates the problem. Glad to hear you found something consistent that works. I just sort of let it ride the once or twice a year it happens to my scalp
