so you are saying maingaining is the way and that bulking/cutting for natties is pointless?

Bulking is 100% pointless is you just want a nice, all-around lean and athletic looking body.

that's the problem, you have to be a manlet to achieve any kind of impressive physique. it's literally impossible if you are above 5'11

False, there are many tall dudes 6'0"+ with good physiques. Only difference is that they actually have to get strong, while I look stronger than I actually am at 5'10". Highly individualistic though. Just lift bro and stop worrying about all these stupid things.

im unironically envious. what are your lifts?

it feels im never able to progress beyond beginner lifts no matter how hard i eat... so i just stagnate at 1 step above skinnyfat. some say do ppl some say do split some say SS+GOMAD but in the end i just never progress.

                You do something in between.
Focus on strength progression in the big 4 lifts but in 5-10 or 3-6 rep ranges, then do a bunch of accessories and bodybuilding type training on top.

                I would've been ~300/220/350 s/b/d give or take
                >pic related
Is now, +20lbs and focusing on strength training since. My lifts are ~350/250/430 based on 5RM, but I honestly look worse lol. I'll be cutting soon and switching back to a hypertrophic routine

You look good bro but tried doing more direct abs? I can get way fatter and still have the upper 4 come through. Maybe it's just genetics/structure and where you store fat though.

I do weighted knee raises and planks but not much else. I used to do a lot more direct core work but that never really made my abs pop more
                It's probably fat distribution

Bulking will making muscle development quicker, but if you only care about leanness yeah
