How do you guys consistently manage to lift during the work week?

How do you guys consistently manage to lift during the work week? Like heavy lifting not just cardio or an average workout. I can manage it occasionally when I’m feeling really well but otherwise I’m stuck on lifting over the weekend.

Preworkout helps a lot. I work an evening shift and still manage to get to the gym after work (12 am) 4 days a week

Working out early in the morning. As long as you've got 7-8hrs of sleep, you'll be at full energy and can ride out the sleepy feel-good post-workout exhaustion the rest of the day

The vast majority of this board appears to be high school and college students so there’s your answer. There’s no getting around the fact that going to the gym at peak after work hours fricking sucks.

Frick I started browsing IST and this board at 15. 25 now. The 15 year old browsing this board now would’ve been born in 2008.

I'm 30 and started coming here when I was 15 too. You'll still be here in five years.

Funny thing is, I don't even find IST to be particularly engaging anymore. But there's literally no other place to hang out online.

I’m 35 and outgrew the shitposter mentality several years ago. One by one I’ve abandoned the high traffic boards. IST was the last one I browsed regularly but that board is just a lost cause.

Don't talk about the dicky board like that.

All the major social media platforms nowadays discourage open discussion so much that it's bottlenecked open conversation to pretty much just imageboards and niche forum websites you have to search for. This, 7chans IST, and like 2 subreddits are the only places I can have actual conversation with a good amount of like minded people instead of just getting yelled at through a keyboard for the dumbest of reasons without an ounce of trolling there

What's on the plan has to be done. It's my plan, I made it, for me. I do only lifts that I like doing. I keep the sessions tight. No junk. Super sets whenever possible.
I've build a very small home gym over the last year. Rack, bb, dbs, rings, improvised dip station. Didn't skip one day.
Training has priority over every other recreational activity, even over time with my gf. Motivation is only the spark - discipline the flame. The rest is like picrel.

      >Training has priority over every other recreational activity, even over time with my gf

That's fricking moronic. What exactly are you lifting for?
      >Social reasons
      You're making yourself insufferable.
      >Women
You look like a self-obsessed homosexual.
      >Functional fitness
Your routine is pigeonholed and unadaptable.
      >Fun
You're robbing yourself of the fun

Idk Anon, some frickers just need that bullshit level of discipline to not become wastes of space. Better to be a yolked lonely autist than a fat lonely autist

I used to pull legit 100 hour work weeks back when I was trying to get a company off the ground. I had tried to do meal prep but after a while it was too much on top of my workload. Started eating from a meal prep service and protein bars which zapped my very small financial resources at the time. My mother offered to meal prep it for me after she saw that. Love my mom more than anyone else on the planet

Im usually doing 10-12hr shifts, they key is to keep it simple. Eggs and toast everyday for breakfast, pb&j+ham and cheese for lunch, and a simple piece of fish with carbs + veggies for dinner. minimize dirty dishes, and i don't have to think about it at all. Eventually you will burn out and need to switch it up, but i find i can go 3-4 months before it gets really bad.itbhelps to think about food as fuel rather than pleasure, if youre cutting you'll just be hungry enough to eat it anyways.

Home gym and work from home, but just like anyone else I have to stay consistent and lift during my lunch break. There’s plenty of distractions at home: I could watch porn, binge a show, play video games with the bros, or nap. But the main thing is to push all that shit aside and do something actually good for yourself.

I go straight from work to the gym. since its on the way home i cant make any excuses. Work stress fuels me some days, and others i have too much on my mind to focus. Not every workout has to be great, sometimes you hust have a shit one. Such is life, consistency is key. Going to the gym is just what i do after work, my day feels off if i dont.

    Heavy compounds before work
    Cardio after
    Hypertrophy accessories in the evening

Did a similar set up before. People said I was insane for lifting twice a day 7 days a week. Other than a few really heavy compounds 2 or 3 days per week I wasn't pushing myself to the limits. It's not that hard as long as you can manage the recovery

The question is - how do you not?
I gym every day, if I haven't gone by 2pm I start to get the shits bad.
I work a cognitive desk job, usually from home. Sitting around all day makes me feel gross.
I'm happier and better at my job if I gym every day
