Wouldn't it be harder to balance it out when working a physically tough job that makes you ok physically tired?

I make my workouts really compact through pause sets and super sets so it's cardio too. Just bang out all my stuff in 25-30 minutes too fast to get bored or tired.

    >30yo
    >physical job
    >2h mma 3x week
    >2 days of lifting
lifting is upper front lower back and the other day upper back lower front, super sets and heavy weights max intensity, if i want to skip lifting i do uphill sprints or swim.
sleep is kinda fricked most times i get no more than 7hs bc my woman is always horny.
getting as much sunlight as you can get and supp VitD during winter makes the most difference for me.
also diet, unironically couldn't do what i do if i didn't go carnitard (4 years now), eating sugar not only makes me sluggish but doms are worse and it makes me want to smoke for some reason.
two months completely off mma and lifting to focus on mobility and recovery during the year is enough.
if i feel i need it i take a week off as well to do massages and do mobility/biomechanics stuff.

Stop playing videogames. Suddenly free hours each day.

Having a shitty job actually HELPS for me. The gym is a source of relief. Exercise and watching numbers go up both make the happy brain chemicals.

just wondering but do you by any chance have any sons or only daughters?

Anyone who can't make time is a pussy

I am 36 with 3 kids under 4. I work a full time job and my wife and I still find a few hours each day to go. You just have to wake up with a game 7 attitude. Put your shoes on, do your dishes laundry, other chores, get some food in the slower cooker or prepped. Get the kids shit together and their meals prepped. Get to work. Blows my mind how many excuses people make

Hit the gym before work so you can give your best there, work can have whatever you've got left in the tank afterwards. Prioritize.

Yea bro just throw them kids in front of a screen youll be good lol
Naw man i actually play with my kids and go outside and get dirty and actually do enriching things with them and make homecooked meals not fast slop out the drive thru or microwave. The PRIORITY is the kids development and yes staying fit helps with that so yes I get one day a week with everything else to really get it in. Any advice on a solid one day a week plan would be great. Im older now so i am watching how much i eat.

Lol full time is what 40 hours? Lol

I limit my work to 8 hours a day. Even if deadlines are close and stress is high I do not even think about work outside of those 8 hours. So I have plenty of time to frick about and do nice and long workouts.

    Help me out..
What is the one workout a week that you would do if you could only do one? How would you diet for your height and weight goals. I am 5'10" and weigh 196lbs right now. My goal weight is 189 but ripped. As of right now I can only do one workout on Fridays for an hour but i have a full gym to use for that hour. I may be able to throw in a set of pullups at home when i have time (i have a wife and young kids so my time is practically completely consumed taking care of them after work and yes my wife does help alot but still there is a severe lack of time for anything else plus mu kids deserve time with their dad espe rn). So with this in mind I am considering a high intensity full body Friday workout with supersets for pretty much all of it but could use some help setting it up. I was thinking warm-up with a superset then move to the working exercises of 3 to 4 supersets (so 6 to 8 total exercises not including warmup) then moving on to a cool down on the elliptical. Thoughts comments suggestions and shitposts welcome.

Pic rel is why i have very little time...

Also frick this site for these moronic time restraints on posts wtf

I'd just do squat, bench, Deadlift, bi's and tris.
Thats all really. Otherwise eat lots of protein and do cardio pullups or planks on non gym days.

You've got 2 fricking options. You either exercise or you don't. There's no balancing to be done. If it's important to you then you just do it.

PPL split has made it much easier for me to be consistent, shorter workouts 6 days a week instead of longer ones 2-3 days a week like I used to do. I only do 3 or 4 different exercises each workout (most 3 sets, some 2), it only takes like 30 to 45 minutes, and it's not as draining as my longer workouts used to be so it's easier to make myself do it.
