I've always eaten as much as I want whenever I want and never been overweight. The "secret" is that I don't eat processed food, ever. I buy beef, chiken, organs, fish, eggs, milk, fruit and vegetables, rice, and sweet potatoes. I make homemade yogurt and kefir. I cook every meal at home.
When you eat whole natural foods prepared yourself from ingredients your grand pappy would recognize you simply won't get fat or ever have to think about calories.

Honestly this is good advice for anyone that isn't obese. I have cut out alcohol, sugar and no sugar soda, and fast food and I'm slowly losing weight despite not counting calories or macros at all. I meal prep for convenience but just make sure that every meal has some sort of animal protein, carb and fruit or vegetable. Workout at least 3 days a week.

I was fat before getting fit. Fasting fixed my constant snacking problem. Start small with 12 hour fast. Then slowly work up. Once you can do rolling 48s for a month straight, your snacking/over eating problems decrease significantly. Also a low carb/keto diet is great for cutting.

Hunger means it's working. I also don't buy anything above my preplanned weekly caloric needs when at the grocery store. I might be hungry but I'm even greedier so I don't like to spend money when I don't want to.
I also exclusively eat in the dining room and nowhere else. No eating in front of the computer or on the sofa. After brushing my teeth I simply do not eat until my next meal. No snacks or even anything other than plain water.
I also track every single calorie that enters my body (with the exception of vegetables). If I'm invited to eat out, I check the menu beforehand and make estimations of how many calories each meal has. I make a list per place for safe foods to eat, with known caloric contents. Also 100% water, very rarely get soft drinks.

Learn to enjoy hunger and u will never be fat, start by fasting half a day or eating one meal, I only eat good one day a week, I was 225 lbs January now I'm 190, soon ~180, the secret is to think of food as fuel not something u want to enjoy but something that will help u move around and pay attention to macros when u eat very lil

Easy mode is just not eating breakfast and then sipping on coffee to kill hunger and keep you alert until dinner. The second ingredient is guilt after eating anything that's not protein or vegetables. And frustration that youre still not what you are supposed to be

At this point, it physically hurts not to eat for prolonged periods of time so that's why I do it. I do it to stop the pain.

    Doing OMAD helped for me.

Ngl, the first week was kinda rough, especially when you get the hunger pangs right before sleeping that make you feel like you're going to die.

But once you learn to ignore the hunger, your body ends up getting used to it and will stop sending the hunger pangs.

Even if you don't do OMAD try doing intermittent fasting.

I eat mostly the same few things all the time. Fish, chicken, burgers, eggs, oats, some fruit. Sip on low calorie coffee all day. All this stuff is satiating. I often have high calorie sweets too and it's no big deal because I get enough exercise.
I almost never eat out nor have any soda and my portions are not enormous.
Occasionally I'll feel a little hungry and decide not to eat anyway. That's pretty much always within a few hours of me going to sleep. The mild hunger goes away. If I'm starving, I eat.

What I recommend, which I am doing currently and it’s working, it’s start slowly changing your diet rather than doing it all at once. Try to make stuff like burritos or tacos or sandwiches. And slowly make it healthier and healthier. Maybe after a week or two you have one meal that’s just healthy shit and count the macros in that, then the next week break fast is also made healthy. And so on like that.
Also, potatoes man. Potatoes will keep you full while staying low calorie.
