A peanut butter shake also includes hundreds of excess calories from fat and carbs. The entire point of protein powder is to bypass this and make cutting easy mode with straight protein.

I sarted making my own soap at home because store bought shampoo made my head itch like crazy, even the anallergic "mild" ones.
It happened that when I started using my own soap, my back acne went away and my face acne was greatly reduced (it wasn't very severe, just a few pimples but the back acne never went away before this).
It's just castille soap made with olive oil, lye and water, very easy to make you just need the ingredients a scale, a blender and something to pour the soap into, like silicone moulds.
Don't add fragrances colorings and shit though.

This is the only thing that’s ever worked for me and it’s worked almost perfectly (my hair still gets insanely oily and I have to wash it everyday or cut it very short)
Things I tried prior: accutane twice, tretinoin gel, 2 antibiotics, lots of water, keto for 30 days, vegetarian for 30 days, more sunlight, new pillowcase every night
For some of us it’s genetic, I tried almost everything and wanted to kill myself and only that skincare routine worked

There are definitely a lot of high school kids and freshmen/sophomore college posters on this board, yes. The real answer is genetics of course. I never got much facial acne even during the peak puberty years. Others aren’t so lucky.

I'm 28 and still get it. From 13-16 I had truly horrific acne tho. Like, my face would be swollen in places and tender or painful in others. I would frequently get cystic acne as well. My face is covered in scars now so in the right light I look like Freddy Krueger. Now the occasional pimple hardly registers for me, I'm just glad that over the years things have just become less bad than they were when I was a teenager.

Going on a lion diet(Carnivore diet, but just ruminant flesh) would clear up any and all causes in no time (6 months). The fat-soluble toxins from plants will seep out and cause the occasional acne while your body detoxifies itself, but it'll be worth it when you're trim and acne-free.

Besides that, zero sugar, zero corn syrup, zero dairy. You've heard it before but that really do be how it is. Just try it and be amazed. How do I prevent and improve back acne? My face is as beautiful as baby ass but my back is an abomination volcanic pus filled pimple mess. I shower and scrub my back every morning with a long handled back scrubbing tool with bodysoap and its still erupting and multiplying. I wear cotton shirts (I change a shirt a day), cut diary and minimise sugar intake/carbs. I change bedsheets once every month. It gets even worse during winter. I am heavyweight. I lift 2-3 gyms a week and I am built like Tank Abottt (UFC) in 1995. Maybe Vitamin D defieciency? My testosterone is high and above average according to my doctor. I don't remember the numbers. Adult acne comes down to a few things, imo...
    Diet
    Hygiene
    Stress

How clean is your diet? Are you eating lots of refined carbs and sugars, or keeping your carbs clean? Avoid lots of refined carbs like in store-bought bread, pasta, junk-food etc., and don't shy away from natural carb sources like those in fruit and milk. Eliminate junk-food entirely - no chips, no candy, no soda; limit alcohol if you drink often. No room for questions... got it?

    How's your hygiene routine?
Are you showering too much, and always with hot water? You are stripping away the natural oils and your sebaceous glands are working hard to replace them. Replacing the oils with a moisturizer immediately after a hot shower, especially on your face, is crucial, as you'll avoid overworking your sebaceous glands - I believe overworked sebaceous glands get inflamed easily.
Are you not showering or washing your face enough?
Are you using quality (natural) soap and not overdoing it, or are you overdoing it with a harsh scented lab-grade bodywash? Are you touching your face?
I don't shower daily, but when I do I hit the main areas (pits, groin & ass, & feet) with an unscented, quality bar-soap; and I wash my face twice a day with cold water and a gentle facial cleanser then moisturize after, and my skin is super clear.

How stressed are you? Are you sleeping enough? When I'm stressed, I find myself touching my face; and when I'm not sleeping enough I get stressed out easily. I usually only get the random pimple every now and again because of the implications of stress.

short answer: it's extremely complicated and involves 10+ different factors which can be contributing to it. if you go from the premise that acne is an inflammatory chronic illness (which it is), you can get a good framework to test things from.

    things to consider.
    1. cutting out ALL dairy and simple sugars, including whey
    2. hygiene of clothing/bedding
    3. codemogenicity of skincare products. what do you put on your face?
    4. contact irritation/allergy testing
    5. levels of stress and sleep
    6. anabolic boosting supplement use (even creatine)
    7. shaving routines - big cause of irritation
    8. sunlight exposure
    9. are you taking any medications currently? these can drastically affect skin conditions. certain supplements can cause chronic acne (B complex is a good but lesser known example).
    10. smoking tobacco/weed (known to inflame skin kerotins)
    11. rest of diet. evaluate simple carbs and sugars especially. this can and will include things like fruit, juices, white breads, etc.
    12. NOW you can consider medication. isotretinoin unfortunately has extreme side effects and is directly linked to cataracts and eye problems later in life. wikipedia actually has a very good treatment matrix for acne depending on severity. generally you'll need 3-4 medications and multiple supplements AFTER you get the rest of everything else listed in order and eliminate inflammation and irritation. BP, azelaic acid, tretinoins, topical retinoids/antibiotics, salyclic acid, niacinamide are the usual first-line treatments. oral NSAIDs and supplementation with high dose zinc + normal reigments of omega 3, C, D3, melatonin and high dose B3 can help as well. alternative options include dermarolling and intensive daily red light treatment, those should be considered as well.

unfortunately acne is a chronic disease and ages 9-28 for men is considered "adolescent" skin which is prone to inflammation (kek). if you are under 30 understand acne is normal. ironically it actually gets worse for women

I had terrible acne (like this but a bit worse) as a teen. I had a course of tetracycline (probably now doxycycline) and went on holiday and sunbathed for a few weeks.

Completely cleared it up and would only get a couple of spots from time to time

If you've done the basics (clean face every night etc) this is how you get rid of acne: Stop all face products and add zinc. 10-15mg elemental a day, if that diesnt change anything remove inflamnatory foods. Start with sugar then dairy and last gluten. Gluten gives me acne issues and so do dairy. Once you've done that your skin should clear up. If it doesnt, or its slow, add high quality probitics. Home made water kefir is the cheapest and strongest.

IF this still doesnt do anything u might have fungal acne/dermatitis on ur skin and dead sea salt sprays and mct oil C8 helps a lot with that. There, thats 15 years of acne research.

Skicare costs pennies a day and prolongs your youth. You're avoiding one of the faucets of the fountain of youth "cuz gay."
Going with the expensive kit that is advertised by manosphere youtubers, or buying into expensive subscriptions, isn't the way to go, but a simple cleanser, moisturizer, exfoliant every now and then, maybe some retinol, and other things pertaining to the specifics (vit C serum for dark eye area, etc) you're looking to improve is dirt cheap and very beneficial with consistency.
I'll bet you dress like a toddler "cuz fashion gay."

acne is caused by what you eat and drink. your body doesnt like what youre taking in and causing an autoimmune response i suggest you follow an elimination diet. yes, it's hard, but if you cant do that then youre fricking weak-minded and dont have the ability to do anything remotely challenging in your life.

the reason chocolate gave you pimples:

        >refined sugar
        >oxalates
        >lectins
        >theobromine (triggers a stress response)

all of the "health" benefits from cacao is also really shitty advice because the polyphenols that are the benefit is naturally occuring in your body if you exercise.

this is the answer to this thread. stop eating like shit, you'll stop getting pimples.

      >b-b-but i use this cream
      >b-b-but i change my sheets
      >b-b-b-b-b-but i never touch my breakouts!

have you ever thought about what you put into your body? you think that pepsi is good for you? that candy bar? all of that processed bullshit? clean up your diets and you wont have any problems. it's literally that easy.

also, another side-effect of eating better is your body composition. if your body is triggering a immune response, you probably have other things going on that you CANT see.

stop being such little b***hes and fix your diet

      thanks Satan!

Not really acne but I have pretty significant keratosis pillaris, which can look sort of like acne sometimes, on my arms legs and ass mostly.

I use Cetaphil Rough and Bumpy moisturizer in the morning and Clindamycin lotion after shower at night (for folliculitis, basically inflamed follicles from the KP).

During shower I use 10% benzoyl peroxide wash and also an exfoliating wash cloth (Goshi).

Doesn't totally resolve KP, its permanent for me—a lot of people grow out of it by the time they are 30—but it reduces it a fair bit.

Also change your sheets and pillow cases frequently.

  48. 1 year ago
    Anonymous

nothing complicated. Change your pillowcase often. If you currently have acne buy a pack of them (cotton) and change it every night. When it's better reduce the changing. I change mine 2-3 times a week. Keep your diet good, stay hydrated, and keep your skin's moisture barrier healthy. I do this by putting on MCT oil in the shower (a few drops and then rub it off with water), and moisturize after a shower (I use cerave). MCT oil is just coconut oil with most components of it removed, leaving only multi-chain triglycerides. All this means is you're left with a neutral oil that is non-comedogenic, as in it won't cause acne. "Why can't I just use coconut oil". Some people can. But there's components of coconut oil that fungi like yeast will thrive on. This means if you use coconut oil as a daily thing like this, you may eventually get fungal skin issues. I did, that's what lead me to research this and figure it out. No issues at all since I switched to MCT oil a year ago. And it's been so good that I shill it to everyone I know who has skin issues.
