How do you teach yourself to "eat healthy"?

How do you teach yourself to "eat healthy"? I've finally gotten myself to go to the gym most days of the week but my diet is just filth. I'm always complaining that I have nothing at home so I order shit. How do i break the habit bros and where can I find good recipes that I can make at home?

No no, you misunderstood me. "Whatever you say," as in, what you responded with was an obvious projection of your absolute lack of confidence, testosterone levels, and accomplishment in life. You furiously typed an angry response like that because you constantly struggle with feelings of low self worth and self hatred, which is a pretty homosexual thing to do. So, enjoy being a waste of space. Lmfao.

Buy lots of groceries in bulk and meal plan so you are never stuck wondering what to eat, that's when you give into temptation. It can take a long time to kick cravings. 3 years ago I quit soda and sugar, 2 years ago other junk food, 1 year ago all takeout. In hindsight I changed things very slowly but surely, now I don't crave any of that stuff I mentioned.

Doordash is great if you're hungover. Don't shit on my boy. It only sucks if you lack discipline.
Making your own meals is king, obviously.
Eating for pleasure is ALWAYS a good thing. You shouldn't eat boring meals. You should look forward to eating. The important thing is that you're eating the right foods, in the right quantities. But it should always be pleasurable when you do this.

You can eat healthy while not torturing yourself.
You must be a mega-fatty if you can't handle good food.

Bro, you can eat healthy and tasty food. You don't need to be a fricking monk unless you're going to be an IFBB pro.
A bit of seasoning and sauce won't kill you.

I'm not much of a cook, so I always just google easy/healthy/cheap/quick recipes for dinner, and then I eat frozen fruit or eggs on toast for lunch/breakfast. Easy-peasy.

    It's literally as simple as
    >Google recipes
    >Write list of ingredients you need
    >Buy the ingredients
    >Follow the recipe

I usually make a double-batch of whatever I'm cooking, so I only have to cook once every 2 days. Then I reheat the leftovers on the second day.

Here is one recipe that I've tried so far:
https://natashaskitchen.com/chicken-broccoli-and-mushroom-stir-fry (This one is good with some lemon squeezed in. I didn't like it much without the lemon)

Here are some more recipes I plan on trying:
    https://houseofnasheats.com/skillet-lemon-chicken-rice
https://downshiftology.com/recipes/lemon-vinaigrette (It's just vinaigrette - I've never made a vinaigrette before so I looked up a recipe to put on salads)
    https://damndelicious.net/2016/05/23/garlic-butter-salmon-foil

As you can see, I fricking love lemon. We have a lemon tree on the property, so I plan on utilising that tasty bastard.

If you pick out recipes that you enjoy which are easy to cook, it'll make the process a lot easier.
Picrel is also good. Next time you go grocery shopping, look for these little sachets. They usually have a recipe on the back and they're really easy. All you have to do is collect the ingredients and you're away.

When you go grocery shopping, always take a list with you.
It's ok to buy yourself a little 'good job' snack. Eg: if you know that soda is your weakness, buy a 6 pack of coke. You're allowed 1 can per day, as a reward for eating healthy. ONLY if you ate healthy. Or it could be a reward for an extra 30 minutes of workout. My point is - reward yourself. Don't indulge yourself.

And make things as easy as possible. A healthy meal could be as simple as baking 1 chicken breast and mixing it with a frickload of chopped salad greens. Easy-peasy. Takes you like 15 minutes total.

Yeah this is a must if you are wanting to eat healthy homemade meals every day and don't have a wife or mommy to do it for you. Cooking good shit takes time.

      Adding to this:
Fruit and vegetables go bad at the speed of light. Don't buy more than you'll realistically consume. You'll probably have to go grocery shopping once every 4 days or so.
      At least, that's my experience.

I appreciate the indepth response friend. I'll check these recipes put and give them a shot. I just need to get better about prepping and making things I can easily eat later. I'm so bad at it

No worries, mate. It'll get much easier once you establish a routine.
Be sure to check through the ingredients of every recipe. Sometimes, a recipe will sound healthy until one particular ingredient spoils it (eg: a cup of heavy cream).
If you like the sound of a recipe, but you don't like a particular ingredient, you may be able to substitute the ingredient with something healthier. If you don't know what to substitute the ingredient for, google is really helpful for this. There will be some wild and improbable answers. (eg: you can replace egg with applesauce in baking recipes) but they're good.
Once you get used to a handful of basic recipes that you really enjoy, you can start playing with them - adding different spices or flavours.

Do Lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss diet as prescribed (i.e., do it for as long as your bodyfat levels dictate).
When you've reached the end of the diet period, do the same diet just with some added carb sources (ideally potatoes) and fat sources (olive oil, butter, fatty fish/fattier cuts of meat).

If you have nothing at home, start buying shit to eat you moron. If you buy yourself food to eat, you can eat it when you're hungry,

Not having a lot of food home is a good way to start eating healthier, as in, if you don't have anything at home besides the healthy stuff, you gotta eat the healthy stuff right?

Or tubby mclard uses that as an excuse to go out and eat like shit. If you have good food that you like to eat at home you wont eat shit food from elsewhere.

Is working out when you have a shit diet a waste of time and energy? Should I get my diet under control before working out?
