How does he do it?

>Not tall
>Not fast
>Not particularly strong
How does Messi manage to be the best player in the world? Does this prove that mental gains are above anything else?

Football is a sport that perfectly balances athleticism, strategy and teamwork, and technical skills. A player might not be the fastest, strongest player on the field, but with decades of experience and a great understanding of the game, they will still be a great player.

VAR took the that kind of stunts out of the game, so yeah.

The african colonies they used to hold poured into their borders after these overseas territories were relinquished.

Sweden didn’t have colonies and it’s also full of Black folk. Your argument is invalid.

    >Not particularly strong
That's what most people get wrong. He has a very strong core. That combined with his high performing autism for the sport is what makes him great.

    >Not fast
Not as fast as he used to be, but his acceleration from 0 is still on of his biggest assets
    >Not particularly strong
You don't need to be strong if your opponents can't push you over because your center of gravity is so low. Messi is not only small, but also has smaller legs and a bigger torso so his center is very low.

He is strong and he was fast

Messi is absolutely fast and resilient you dummy. These players run 10+km per game.

He has above average lower body strength. Explosive and a low-center of gravity. A lot of strikers are on the shorter side (Maradona, Pele, Neymar, Mbappe, Modric). Average upper body strength since you don't really use it that much (though, you do have to be tough a lot of times).

Also, Messi is a unique player in the sense that his skill comes from game knowledge and setting up plays. Take his goal against Mexico for example:

The genius comes from the fact that he saw that opening in a weird angle, and scored a goal with two touches (one touch for receiving AND setting up the shot, then a second touch to finalize).

Whereas other players are more "athletic" in a traditional sense. Cristiano Ronaldo is the best example of this. He's average in game skill, but he runs faster, jumps higher, kicks harder, etc. than everyone else.

Well, CR7 is obviously above average in game skill as well.

I'm just using him as an example since that guy is a machine. He's more traditionally athletic than Messi. But Messi has a game vision that is better than Ronaldo's.

Soccer has never been a white mans sport anyway. You should watch cricket or rugby instead.

Just an amazing level of talent, practice and strategy for the game as well as his athleticism.

    ?t=92

I know frick all about football but look at this goal he sets up here, the ability to run the ball down like that with one of the best players in the world on him and then do that feint, spin around and then through the legs of that player pass it perfectly to his teammate who scores. What a goal.

    Speaking only about football....
Being short helps maintaining a good balance in accordance with person's center of gravity.
Hi IS FAST. One of the fastest players when carrying and dribbling the ball ever recorded.
Being strong is not really super necessary in his position on the field. Especially nowadays as attacking midfielder.
Also, he has a really fast understanding of the situation on the field.
