good way to force blood into your legs after a good leg day

      Anonymous

I recently started to do like

I ride my bike to and from work everyday and I enjoy the free hour of cardio. Since I live in a big city the commute would take that long either way, and getting some exercise in is much preferable to being stuck in traffic or dealing with hobos in the subway

and ride my bike to and from work every day (except when the wether is totally shit, then I take the train and walk the last 3 kilometers). Will cycling interfere with my recovery after leg days? One way is 23km and I need about an hour, depending on wether the wind is blowing in my direction.
After the first three weeks of PPLPPLx in the morning and cycling 46km a day I felt pretty exhausted and took a rest week, but since then I'm back to it.

Legs recover faster than most other muscles since they were pretty important for survival. Same reason why your heart doesn’t get sore for example. Working out the legs every day, especially with the difference in intensity, is completely

        Anonymous

No, cycling at 23kph will not interfere with your recovery unless you did it on a fatbike. A little blood flow is good, if you were pushing 35-40kph it might affect you at 42km per day.

This is comparatively very little cycling, especially once you have adapted for it.

Car cucks have been psyopped by ~~*oil companies*~~ and ~~*car companies*~~ into thinking that anti pedestrian cities, insane amounts of pollution, and long commutes with high traffic are better than the literal exact opposite. Remember who your enemy is and realize that biking for transportation is unironically based as frick.

Cycling and rowing are both based. The only cringe cardio is long distance running. That being said competitive road bike cycling is a lil gay.

First of all, duplexes exist. Secondly, not everyone wants to own a single family home. Thirdly, single family home zoning literally costs the city money and stifles it economically. I'm not anti owning things nor anti land. You have been cucked into thinking that you need a car, you have been cucked into thinking that it's a good thing that kids can't play in the street. You have been cucked into thinking that the way America is now, is how it should have been before the oil and car industry. You have also been cucked into thinking that the status quo is sustainable until you leave your children behind. Look around you. The world is falling apart. And cars and oil are a much larger piece of the reason why than you think.

Nothing wrong with owning land. Nothing wrong with a garden. And farms are absolutely important.

One is le heckin walkable the other is not and never could be. You're anti owning things and anti land. You want everyone to pay a landlord forever and leave nothing for their children.

              t. has never lived in a walkable city

First of all cities aren't anti owning things. Just because you live in an apartment doesn't mean that you can't own the apartment. I know, a weird concept to suburban cucks, owning an apartment, just like the McMansion in a suburb. I own my apartment or to be more correct I own shares in an apartment complex co-op that give me the right to access one of the apartments, and the co-op owns the land the building is on. I own my dwelling just as much as a suburban cuck owns their McMansion.

But I can walk everywhere I need to go on a daily basis. I don't NEED a car to live. I do own a car, but it's only used for trips where I leave the city. I could sell the car and rent one when I need one.

I'm not even anti land. In fact I'd argue that the suburban cucks are much more anti land, they're wasting tons of usable land to build cookie cutter McMansions and to have a small patch of lawn around it. All surrounded by paved roads. My city can afford massive parks for the people for recreational use, Building densely allows you to have land available for better use than everyone having a small personal patch of lawn. And depending on your location you could also be wasting perfectly good farm land to grow your personal lawn on. If anything suburban cucks are anti land. Either live in a city or properly rural, not in the middle larping like you've got freedom. Unironically both the truly rural and truly city living folks have more freedom.

Even if it's a small village you're better off building it densely around one center than everyone having their own small patch of land that's still too small to farm anything.

    Bigehomosexual here. Pic related.
It's a terrible workout. You need to spend 3-4 hours on a bike to get the equivalent of a 40 minute run.
Frankly, I only go cycling on my rest days between runs to allow the legs to recuperate or when I'm feeling too fricking lazy or dreading to endure a hard run in high temperatures.
It's nice for touring new areas however as you cover greater distances.

Cycling is absolute EZ mode and don't let any homosexual tell you otherwise.

Wrong beyond comprehension, but okay. If you're at race pace on a bike you burn 75-90% of the calories as running at race pace. If you just cruise around at 10mph on a cyclocross bike, you're just a larping homosexual

Sorry, I'm not going to let someone with flat pedals and a stem that points up tell me cycling is easy. That's like a mall-walker telling a runner marathons are easy because they mall-walked for 4 hours.

        Anonymous

Flat pedals are fine if you use cages or straps with them. Clipless are pointless if you're not racing so it's kinda silly for a city cyclist to even bother with them.

          Anonymous

Clipless are a lot better than straps/clips. Especially in city traffic. If you want walkability just get MTB pedals and shoes. There are plenty of two hole shoes that normies won't be able to tell are cycling shoes.

            Anonymous

I've seen 5 guys with clipless tip over like morons at traffic lights this year and had to help one of them get to the sidewalk. They aren't good for traffic.

              Anonymous

Yet they're miles better than clips/straps. Every single downside clipless have clips/straps have it even worse. Everyone falls with clipless pedals once. And that's pretty much it. Considering the bike boom that covid has caused it's no surprise you're seeing people falling.

And with MTB pedals/shoes unclipping is so fricking easy it's practically impossible to fall with them. Those problems mainly come with high tension road pedals. But even then falling because of them is extremely rare.

The other day I saw a couple pedestrians cross the street against the stop light when no cars were coming, then when they crossed the bike lane a cyclist had to stop short, and angrily yelled DOES THAT LOOK LIKE A WALK SIGN TO YOU???
