You're completely forgetting about how patients who have comorbities of such as hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis, and etc. causing HTN tend to enlarge their hearts despite having less muscle mass than the average healthy person.
Also take for example someone with just chronic anemia: literally the heart has to pump harder and/or faster to compensate for the abnormal blood-oxygen supply against the oxygen-demand.
