i didnt cry. I cried more when i found out he had cancer and the weeks that followed. You have this animal, and you know how long they are supposed to live and of course you always hope they live to the high end or beyond the average. When you can see the end, it hits hard and hurts. When it came time to put him down, i was out of tears. I played with my fren one more time and held him as I said goodbye. I miss him terribly and still hate that i had a vet put him down instead of just suffer with him. But I couldnt bare to have him suffer. He never did, but i could see it coming

You were there with him, so he was happy. Nothing else matters, Anon.

to suffer with him would also mean him suffering. you did the right thing

I had a dog with cancer once. When she stopped being able to urinate and defecate unassisted it was time to put her down. For a dog quality > quantity. There is no dignity or happiness when they can't move or live. The sadness you feel is the result of the love you had. Make sure to cherish it.

Its best to take some xanax and get new dog asap. The pain is worse when the house is empty.

I was at the gym on 2g of shrooms
    I came home feeling great
My cat was crying in the hall
    His back legs had gone
I knew he had heart failure but was still a shock
I stayed with him for two hours
Tried to make it easier for him and let him know he was a good boy and not alone
Eventually I gently covered his nose and held his mouth after he was having painful spasms
That was a really intense night
    RIP Charles I miss you

Dog or senpai dying while I'm on psychedelics is my worst fricking night...

One time when I was tripping I thought my grandpa died and I just had to shut down..

Xanax is perfect for death for the first 2-3 nights.. When my grandpa died xans got me through the first week(u gotta put them down eventually but missing out on sleep is just going to make everything worse..)

Numb them at the end of the day after u spent all day crying. We need sleep. U can see ur dead relatives in ur sleep..

And as much as it would have been nicer, and I had benzos available, somehow... You just got to deal with it.

Do benxos first 3 days to get sleep. Wait a week then do a heroic dose of shrooms. I ate half an ounce of shrooms 2 weeks after my dog died. Took me to a dark place but I found my dogs soul and absorbed it inside of me

My mom died tragically when I was young, I couldn't sleep for days. One of my family members gave me ativan which is a benzo like xanax. I was finally able to get some sleep and start processing what had happened. It can be helpful but they are horribly addicting so you have to be careful. endblogpost

You loved your dog and he loved you. It is sad he's gone and if you cry thats fine, but also be happy and take solace in knowing he lived a wonderful happy life with you

    >18 year old dog just got blood test
    > doctors say it's the healthiest blood they have ever seen on a senior
    >easily got a few more year left

Had another one that got killed by a coyote at 18 years old 3 years ago. Its my fault. I can barley live with myself. The idea that reincarnation is real and she can come back as my daughter and her death was cleansing her of her karmic debt is the only thing that keeps me going. If I didn't have my faith I don't know we're I would be. It's one thing when a grandpa dies but dogs are beings who's lives and fates are intimately intermitten with urs. Every morning u wake up to them, every night u fall alseep next to them. U are their whole world. If there is a such a thing a soul then they have them too and they will reincarnate as youre future children or dogs..

Read pic related and cremated ur dog and put his ashes on the book until the day ur future wife tells u she is pregnant then spread the ashes in a nice place(or mix with cocain and snort them or mix them in with ink ans get a tattoo..)

All this applies to humans too I guess..

U have to walk them a SHITON. Think jack lalane but in fog form. Gotta keep moving.. cant stop. Especiallg when they start to slow down, double down on the walking... . Also buy the expensive slorganic shit at whole foods.. I do feed him scraps from my table every day, it fucjed up his teeth though.. also they have to be small breed to live that long, mines a wiener dog I had a freind with a 15 year old golend retriever.

Also u missed my point. Stop being ignorant. I tried dropping priceless knowledge on u and u only paid attention to the most irrelevant part of what I said...

I’ve been fasting and staying sober since my friend died in early December it helps me keep a clear mind and process my emotions better. I’m sorry you’re going through this anon. I’ve lost a few dogs in the past, it’s ruff

Do the fast after you put him down, not before. I recommend a 7-day water fast to honor your friend.

If you euthanize an animal you are a sad excuse for a Human.
