>be me >5'7 moron >could barely get to 10 without kipping and reducing the range of the rep >give up pullups, start doing rows >slow controlled reps starting from deadhang and finishing with chin above bar >can make a dozen perfect reps
I used to half-ass my form and use that momentum until I engaged in strength training and became one with the bar. When I jumped up to the pullup bar again, I treated it like I was rowing and had a physical eureka moment.
>If you can't perform them slowly, the counter is 0
Pasting my autistic method of doing pullups from an earlier thread here >start in a full dead hang with shoulders behind ears >depress scapula while keeping arms mostly straight, flex shoulders slightly >pull chin over the bar (touch clavicle to bar for bonus points) and pause for a second or two >descend with a slow eccentric, depress scapula again on the way down if they elevated on the way up >return to the same position as >depress scapula while keeping arms mostly straight, flex shoulders slightly >let your scapula elevate, and extend your shoulders more so that your shoulders are now behind your ears. pause for a second or two >repeat
Am I gonna make it?
I do not return to a dead hang every rep but keep my lats engaged for the whole set, you know like when doing curls and not letting the biceps relax, the first few times gave me doms for days do em like that ever sense
10 at 205lb with a 3:1:3 tempo is my most recent set. I've been using tempos recently because in the past I just stacked plates all the time and it was exhausting in a non-muscular way and I'm pretty sure it was going to rip my lats off. Same shit with dips. I got up to 3pl8 at 185lb while using a slingshot and I was like "I have to stop this shit."
Still zero. I'm focusing on losing weight and training the eccentric movement. My gym actually has rings for ring dips and pull-ups, so I've been using them to train.
my PR is 6 reps but i am fat so pretty proud of it. couldnt even do 1 a few months ago
12 @ 112kg (After training arms)
14, maybe 15 on a good day.
Also there's a pullup thread already up
That's the gay one.
This is the straight one.
Weighted or unweighted? I can do like 8 with a pl8
if it's with the form in your pic, 25
if it's full rom 15
8 pull ups
7 chin ups
I can do 12 pull ups at 300lbs and 5 weighted pullups with 45lbs.
No clue and I never will. I've done countless hanging leg raises but I've never attempted to pull myself above the bar. Real men push, women pull.
fatass detected
women detected.
You're wrong. Men can do everything women can but better (excluding child birth). Men push and pull while women drown in their own misery
Hilarious cope
>Real men push, women pull.
6 reps with full, slow ROM
But both of them involve pulling yourself up until your chin is over the bar?
>hang out around the pullup cage area at the gym
>5'7 morons using momentum to bang out 6 quick reps with no control, zero time under tension
If you can't perform them slowly, the counter is 0

Why hasn't any one said this image is wrong??
Why is this image wrong?
the guy on the right is crossing his legs
Ok, does that make it easier?
If you're doing chin ups youre weak. I'm sorry that I have to be the one to tell you, but real men do wide grip pull ups.
20 pull ups. Could probably do 30 chin ups if I really wanted to. They are that easy
If it's so easy, than why can I only do 5?
Youre fat and or weak
how much do you weigh? because if it's less than 90kgs, it doesn't count
>how much do you weigh? because if it's less than 90kgs, it doesn't count
avatars are against the rules on this imageboard buddy
Cope harder fatty. I weigh 145lbs. Get mogged kid
aren't chinups underhand? I do 6 overhandies from the ground but probably not full rom. I will try from a hanging position next time.
Yeah the image is backwards. Pullups are pronated grip, palms out. Chin-ups are supinated, palms in.
>aren't chinups underhand?
I gave up trying to understand the difference or which one I should be doing.
Now I train with both.
If you only sometimes frick men, you are still gay.
23
15, but I'm a manlet
Around 15 with full ROM
I can do seven. It doesn't matter if I use only body weight or even add a bit of weight to it. Only seven. It's cursed
15-20 pullups with a 10kg weighted vest.
I can do 3 dead hang chin ups with 35kg added at a bodyweight of 92-93 kg and height of 174 cm. I have a gut too.
8on a good day @300lbs
Around 15
>inb4 somebody calls me a manlet I am 6’3 and weight 205 pounds
I set a PR yesterday. I did 21 strict full RoM chin ups at 75kg.

Your pic is wrong.
25kg plate for 6 reps at 92kg body weight
10, from a dead hang each rep
230lbs, working on 50pullups.com
12 chinups, 10 pullups
20 probably at 96kg
