How many minutes do you normally rest between your heavy work sets?
I do 4-6 minutes depending on how I feel and how heavy it is, but sometimes people get annoyed with me in the gym.

As long as I need or feel like but I go to a small strength warehouse gym in the industrial area so there's basically always more open racks than there are people lifting
based, sounds like a good place to train
i go to a commercial gym so it's more crowded
sounds reasonable, my accessories have low rest times, but fuck, i need to spend some more time recovering for my higher intensity compounds lifts
I will say cardio improvement/fat loss does help recovery a little. At least for squats
I would say ignore people. I was the big guy so no one got annoyed.
3-5 minutes on squats, same with deads.
bp/ohp is 1-3 minutes, isolations are less unless I go 100% out, then 1-3 minutes.

3-4 min is the sweet spot for me.
Bench-90sec to 3 minutes depending on the weight
Deadlift 3-5 depending on weight
All else-90sec
2 minutes mostly. Longer rest would be slightly better but I can't justify the time cost.
How are you fat morons resting anything longer than 2 minutes, no wonder you’re all gay dyels
heavy compound lifts done to absolute failure require decent amounts of rest
You have never squatted or dead lifted heavy.
compounds 3 mins
everything else 1.5
huh? i just rest until i feel like i can do my reps again
on squats like 230ish seconds on bench and ohp around 190
3-5 minutes for main lifts, 1-2 minutes for accessory lifts
1 minute for compounds, 30 seconds for accessories
2 minutes because I don't have that long to train anymore. I reckon it's probably better to lose a few reps per set than lose half my sets entirely because I run out of time. I'd rest 3-5 minutes in an ideal world.
3 minutes for compounds, 2 for isolations
120-150 seconds typically.
20 - 30 minutes
