I live in a socialist country where healthcare is "free" and I haven't been to my family doctor in 4 years because
      > have disdain for the medical class AKA women who are owned by pharmaceutical companies
      >takes too long to get an appointment

        Is it Canada?
That's why I don't go. It's never actually free, they don't give a single frick, they're all brown or women (hate nurses especially btw) or they try to fricking kill me.
        >have mini-stroke at 19 from excessive Monster consumption
        >see 4 doctors, be told I'm "too young for heart problems"
        >FINALLY manage to get a white, male doctor
        >let's get you checked out immediately
        >WALA, get my diagnosis and treatment options same day
        Another
        >lowest I've ever been, think about suicide daily, actively drinking a 40oz of Jagermiester every night
        >decide okay I probably need help I'll talk to doc
        >Dr.Ali, because ofc
        >doesn't listen at all to what I'm saying, prescribes whichever medication lines her pockets the best
        >take it for a week, symptoms sky rocket
        >try hanging myself with a belt, belt breaks because fat
        >Too fat to kms kek (why I'm IST now)
        >tell doctor, prescribes me new medication
        >decide to look into both medications
        >Same. Exact. Chemical. Same. Exact. Medication.
        >labeled under sister branding
Never been to a doctor since. Can't trust them, they're all fricking criminals and they need to have their fricking heads caved in.

It's best to just live the healthiest life you can and never visit doctors. That's what I plan to do. If my genetics lead me to dying at 55 then so be it.

the best health care ive had in my life was from a young white male physician who had an open mind. seems like boomers are just moronic

Where do you even find white male doctors these days?

            Anonymous

Yup, I had Lyme's disease. Classic symptoms of the big bullseye rash on my leg, shooting pains in my spine, and fever. I'm a forester so I work outside and picked ticks off myself 3 times a week roughly
            >1st doctor was African, told me I didn't have Lyme's disease because there is no Lyme's in England. Started rambling about zebra which I'm not sure is a medical term or he was just African. Asked for a second opinion which was scheduled 3 weeks later.
            >2nd doctor was Indian. Told me I can't have Lyme's disease because I live in town. Like bacteria magically disappear in urban areas. Asked for another opinion and he refused because he was the second opinion.
            >3rd doctor was a white Briton, took me seriously and gave me antibiotics. Silly tit did give me antibiotics that're ineffective against Lyme's tho but at least he tried to do his job.

          >mini stroke
          >lowest I’ve ever been
Damn your situation sounds a lot like mine. Can you elaborate on the mini stroke thing? I think I had that but normal soda and not energy drink.

            Anonymous

I mean, it felt like what they tell you a stroke feels like I suppose. I didn't smell burning toast, but electricity? Like, when some wires short out, that kinda smell. I think the symptoms vary heavily but mine were pretty typical of a stroke stroke, just didn't do permanent damage. I was tuning my guitar and my hand went numb, and then limp, smelled the funny smell and my face went numb. It was pretty scary. I'm not sure how much soda you're drinking anon but I was quite literally consuming 10 monsters a day pulling 80hrs a week at work. Rotted my teeth to the point where I now look like a crackhead and will need dentures, fricked my liver for a bit, and gave me a stroke. Stay away from soda and energy drinks my man.

Primary care attracts either the doctors with a huge amount of passion for their community that they would take a 400k a year pay cut or the bums who are just there to make mom proud and don't really like doctoring.

I've never heard of anyone getting a physical here in the UK unless they're like 50+ maybe.

Do Americans really get physicals every year?

I wish they introduce an annual blood panel in the UK. Would be nice to have one done once a year as a preventative measure.

Yeah. It sure why that Englishman is acting surprised at annual checkup. Getting blood pressure and blood work checked is quick and good way to catch a many issues early.

Yeah we get free physicals once a year but they basically just check that you aren’t dying or have visible scoliosis.

That's because most healthcare in this country is on the infamously homierdly NHS. After the its imminent collapse, when everyone will be dependent on employer health plans, you will see annual health checkups here too.

Yes. We go to doctors and pay them money to tell us we’re fine and then we go back and pay them again when they tell us to come back and pay them again. Many American businesses work like this.
