1rm? I'm 66kg and I can bench 70kg. I need to eat more
Yeah lol. I usually stick to 60 kg and doing like 6-8 reps. Eating is an issue for me too.
I do home workouts and I don't have a bar. I can do 4x6 35lb curls and similar with bench presses. What do you think?
i weigh around 60 kg and can bench around 100 kg for a 1rm
you curl as much as you bench? i think you must have some goofy looking arms
I get 80kg by putting my 10rm into strengthstandards but realistically don't think I could go over 70kg
t. 60kg bw
You benchpress more than you weight, thats awesome right there.
I guess for a beginner it is. For anyone with experience benching twice your weight is crazy impressive most can never do it
Bodyweight 74kg
Bench PR 120kg
get some leave in conditioner
>leave in conditioner
thoughts on coconut oil as conditioner?
he's skipping back day
Why is your body so narrow?
I've heard of skipping leg day but skipping core workouts is a new one
he only benches
Your thumbnail is fricking hideous
290lbs at 165
Nice you're a bit stronger then me brother
highest tested is 130, but I'm currently doing an 8-week programming cycle (benching 5x a week which is fricking hellish, plus accessories out of the ass) which should have me benching 3pl8 at least for a single. On the plus side my chest is getting major hypertrophy benefits from the absurd volume. I only worry for my OHP numbers
How do I get abs like those
heavy compounds, hanging knee raises then leg raises, then the ultimate ab exercise dragon flags, I'm too lazy to do them consistently but by god they give the best pump ever
you should not be struggling at that weight, most ppl start from there honestly bro, eat more and work on your form is all I can say
I don't care for homosexual powershitters I want to be able to press 90kg above my head because I want to press 90kg above my head
>dragon flags
where can try this in the gym?
those gymnastics bar things, where its like horizontal poles one on top of the other, grab the 2nd lowest one with a tight close grip and start slow, don't be discouraged if you cant even do one.
knee raises
>tfw lower back always tires out form deadlifts
>tfw hanging leg raises feel uncomfy af
>tfw I don't seem to improve on them
🙁
whats your chest workout like? im finding im stalling at a very low weight (1pl8) and am trying to get past the plateau
Stop benching so wide anon. A lot of pictures have peoples arms at exaggerated distances apart.
I bench about a hands width in from the central knurling. From where the bar goes slick, on hand's width outwards.
Pretty narrow but it utilises more triceps and helps me hit higher weights.
If you're chasing 1RM, Ohp doesn't matter as it's not a tested lift. If you're not powerlifting, 1rm doesn't matter.
>benching 5x a week
my friend you are completely moronic
its clearly not max effort sets everyday bro don't be obtuse, at most its 80% for 3x3 with 1-2 days a week going higher on the weight or the volume. I've tried the 4 week varient before and it took me from a 112kg 1rm to 128. Look up bulgarian training methods and then tell me 80% only 5x a week is too much
188cm/90kg
cool, thanks
Nothing wrong with benching 5x a week. I just started benching 6x to try and get my bench to move because after the initial gains from adjusting to 5x frequency (+5 lbs), I gained nothing.
t. 390 lb bencher
How do you try and optimize bench gains without sacrificing OHP? all I want is to be able to maintain a 2pl8 OHP and 3pl8 bench (ill settle for 95kg ohp)
I'm a powerlifter, so ohp is not high on the list of my priorities. However, if you wanted training for the two to not diverge wildly, I would not bench with a huge arch or max grip, as that's what I do and my ohp is piss poor.
>so ohp is not high on the list of my priorities.
fair enough, I tend to bench fairly narrow for working sets but go wide for singles/dubs just so my triceps can catch a break. mirin that strength, how long before you hit 405 you think?
I've been working at 4 pl8 for months now. I thought the 5x frequency would get me there but my body can apparently take a frickload of bench volume now so it wasn't enough. If 6x bench frequency works though, I estimate something around 3-4 months.
>4 months for 15 pounds
man the human body fricking sucks at this lifting heavy thing. GL though.
Thanks senpai. You too.
how tall are you, anon?
Daddy
80-90kgx10
Right now 275, all time 285 but I look like shit
Okay DYEL
i want to have sex with your ass
Where's the chest
>He thought bench is a good chest builder
Shit I only bench for chest. What else should I be doing?
Dumbbells press.
BB Flys
Cable Flys
1 Arm DB Press
just to name a few
>BB flys
lmao I know you must mean DB flies but imagining someone doing these with two barbells is cracking me up
What the frick has happened to IST....
Flies if you really want it to grow too. DB bench is better than flat bench too if you go for a deep stretch at the bottom. Focus on feeling your pecs work. My chest didn't grow at all until I did this
under the hair I swear
bench press doesn't give you chest, other than a basic foundation
I got a pretty massive chest from mostly benching
People saying shit like this are giving you advice on this board...
I weight 65kg midcut. My bench PR is 102 kg 1rm, but I'm currently going for 80kg for reps
I weigh 75 kg and just benched 115kg for 3 the other day
I walk around at about 170lb and my best bench is 285. I'm actually about to hit 280 for 1 as part of my training
Benching 70kg for reps currently, I'm a bit chunky and underdeveloped right now.
big dog? I’m disappoint
183cm, 79kg, bp 75kgx6
Should’ve pushed way harder during this first bulk, now I’m at 18% bf again and my lifts haven’t improved that much. Squat at 100kgx5, deadlift 130x5, ohp 45x5.
Now I’m going to 70kg and then try to push for 1/2/3/4 in next bulk over 8months.
83kg
Bench is 85kg for 5 or 77.5kg for 10
OHP is 55 for 5 or 50kg for 10
Around bodyweight back when I went to the gym, a little over 1 plate. Now Im a calisthenicsgay.
175kg@102kg bw
10x93 at about 93kg havent tested max in a while
85kg bw 92.5kg bench for 3x5
140kg for a triple is my pb. I probably would have had 150kg for a single that day but 145 is most I have done
How tall are you and what are your other lifts? You're like 4-6 months ahead of me. I'm 6'0.5" 182 and I'm cutting to 175
I weigh 65 1rm is 92. Had to take a few weeks off because the first fricking tick bite I’ve had in 2 decades gave me TBE
>small gym
>1 bench for like 20 people
>HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO DO A PROPER BENCH PRESS IN LITERALY A FRICKING MONTH BC I HAVE TOO LITTLE TIME TO WORK OUT JUST TO HAVE THE BENCH BUSY 90 MIN BY SOME TWINK THAT CANT BENCH EVEN ONE PLATE
You share the twinkdom now and will do so forever on. May your gains be at peace and new life as a twink toy for anal devastation be joyful.
Switch gyms lol
81kg, bench 115kg x5
Could still improve but I want to cut to 70 and maintain a 100kg bench.
I'm a 155lb manlet and I only bench dumbbells. my current DB bench is two 80's for 4-5 reps. is this pretty decent for my weight?
Yes. I'm 6'3 190 and only do 90s ATM.
Left 155kg
Right 180kg
surely you didnt go from left to right? right? if so, you fricked up like i've never seen before
Nah right to left lol
Weight was 181 lbs last time I checked
Max BP is 225
>suddenly everyone is Hercules on IST
Why would you lie no one knows its you
I weigh 60kgs and my 1rm is around my bodyweight. Pretty proud of myself cuz I was struggling with 35kgs a few months back kek.
might break nofap for these eggs
35 on the bar, 55 including bar. Had a medical thing with my kid so couldn't gym for a couple months. Used to be 45 on the bar. Slowly getting there, bros.
Before my shoulder injury I could bench press 120 kg for 5 reps.
Now I can’t even bench press anymore.
Will likely kms
I weight 75 kg btw. Big boys were mad. Good old times
64 kg and I can bench 90 kg
250lbs last I checked but I don't really bench much anymore. I prefer to preexhaust the chest with flies and then db bench to destroy it while preexhausting the triceps. Last workout was 80lbs db's for 6 reps on the first set.
70kg bw and 120kg for 5 reps. I dont train legs.
105kg at 85 bw
>highschool (age 19), weight 114kg, bench 1rm: 174kg
>now (age 35), weight 77kg, bench 1rm: 82kg
its over for me
>age 19), weight 114kg
Damn, you were a big boy. Was it for a sport? I would have guessed American Football, but you are using kg.
I weight 150 and i've benched 285 been working real hard for 315.
its my worst lift. i can 4pl dead and 3pl squat for reps - 150lb overhead for 6 for sets and yet bench i can barely handle 165lb for 6 .
more chest dips for me.
Right now I can bench about 125 max. I'm still early on though. I use the guided benchpress machine because I don't have a safety cage at my gym in case something happens and I'm too autistic to have a spotter.
I’m 72kg at 183cm and my current 1 rep is 115 most I’ve done is 125. I don’t train bench anymore though just ohp and push press
I can bench press 40kg while I'm 105kg and 185cm, I know I'm very weak and a fattie but I'm seeing a lot of progress in my training, I hope to reach decent numbers soon
135kg
weight 71.5kg,
height 174cm,
bench: 85kg
What's with all this kg shit I keep seeing? Just say pounds morons.
Just multiply it by 2.205, dumbass.
They're SI units, anyone in STEM uses them you FRICKING BRAINLET
I'm a mathematician and I use pounds
There are no units in maths
75kg 1rm at 68kg bw
1 rep max at 130 kg
i presume i'll decline over summer since who the fricks goes to the gym then
ill go for 140 kg after summer
>5’7
>200lbs
>15% bf
>Bench 1RM: 355lbs
>Squat 1RM: 500lbs
>Deadlift 1RM: 400lbs
>Barbell curl 1RM: 130lbs
>Legpress 1RM: 800lbs
As you can see I don’t deadlift. It’s very rare I get near my max lifts most days I’m about 20lbs below that
Used to bench 280s. . . Fell off lifting for 7 months because of studying and holidays... Started again about a month ago max is now like 240s. Hoping to get to 315 by next summer.
I support the CCCP!
1.90m
~90kg
100x9
have not tested 1rm in a long time
Why do you support child porn?
>he doesn't support dicky
125kg, but i tested it when kind of sick.
pretty surei could do 130kg or 132.5kg when feeling healthy
215 pounds. im worthless.
250lbs paused @ 180lbs
Only 80kg at 5 reps. Shoulder injury been holding me back.
Used to be able to bench 100kg. Wanna do that again
85kg x 5 is my current best. Progress is glacial, but it's happening. 100kg for reps is my current goal.
Do you guys count the bar? I bench 125kgx5 and the bar weights 20 kgs i weight 110 kg.
Yeah you always should count the bar. Its always 20 kg right ?
Depends on the bar, daddy
you dont bench that
"No one alive can rep lmao3pl8"
Says more about him that you tbh
he's fat, it's not that impressive. Probably just his body weight or less.
hmmm let me guess you are a twink boi, you could easily be lifted and fricked.
(Also the weights you guys write is cute, weighing 70kg and lifting 80kg like little bois.)
Hey come on not everyone is a ripped beast. Say your lifts then.
How good is pec deck for hypertrophy ?
I did 240 lbs for 3 the other week, 225 3x5. My shoulders are a little achy so I switched to light weight baby for the next few weeks. I'm 30 so gotta be more careful now.
190lbs 5'10"
165kg
Bodyweight 85kg, PR 55kg. Still a long way to go, but not that long ago I struggled even with an empty bar, so there's some progress
I was 90kg (27% bf) and could bench 30kg, I still remember how shameful it was kek.
I’m now 80kg (20% bf) and cutting til 12%, this week I benched 70kg and felt happy as hell. WAGMI bros!
182.5kg / 402lbs in USAPL competition at 81kg bodyweight.
Congrats on nipplemogging the entire board
currently 80 kg, bench is 111 kg
wtf is your reach
Don't let him hear you say that, he'll reach out and slap you
I bench 110 for 3 at 75kg
69kg
Did 100lb for work sets just today
My weight is 177-ish. 235lbs is my bench press. Would go for a new PR but my gymbro is injured.
bench =
200 x1
175 3x4
170 3x5
broke through a plateau at 155 by alternating 4x3 and 3x5 but i'm plateauing again at 175, what do?
98 kilos, current bench is 79kg. It's low because I didn't get a rack and bench until a year into lifting
78 kg bodyweight, did 86 kg for 3x4 yesterday. Could have done 3x5 but I wasn't in my usual gym, wasn't as comfortable and the bench sucked.
Nothing crazy but I'm real close to that 2pl8 1rm.
1RM 190 lbs at 150 lbs BW
185kg at 138kg bw
I can bench 84kgx5 at 75kg bw
Last time I benched like 2 years ago, pre pandemic, it was 95kg. No idea how much it would be now, but I can do 100 push ups in a row and 60kg ohp x2 or 3 reps on a good day
67kg on 80kg bench for 5 reps. I did 2 reps of 90kg a while back but I'm a loner and don't have anyone to spot me. Just continuing slowly
165.5 kg/365 lb
bodyweight 79kg/175 lb
(admittedly would be a bit lower without wraps, probably closer to 350lb raw)
Obligatory f'zeek post. Someone from /plg/ probably knows me
Damn how is ur bench so low with that physique? Are you a bodybuilding gay?
lmao manlet
166 pounds bw and last time i maxed out it was 295. was trying for 3 plate bench but kept stalling on that bulk. i was 175ish then
