35kg paused for 10, but that's after 2 other presses. No idea what I can do fresh right now but a year ago I did 50kg for 6
195 after 2 years of dedication. I'm a certified deltlet so I'm very proud of this accomplishment
You talking on pounds or kg? Because I feel like a dyel if kg
yeah, bro. The world record is 212.5kg, but im sure some random ISTizen can do 195 after 2 years of training
195 pounds you foreigner. 195 pounds isn’t impossible. I hit 185x2 four months ago. I’m sure I’m over 200 lbs by now.
My 1 rep max is 195lbs. I'm scared to go above that because I feel like my shit will collapse in tbh
I doubt I’ll ORM OHP again anytime soon. You’re right. When you get up there in weight it feels heavy.
he was being sarcastic anon
literal braindead moron
What Is reading comprehension?
115x6 starting at 65x8 three mo the ago
60kg x 6
bw: 74kg
Your brain problems have nothing to do with ohp. You probably have a brain parsite or had the bivalent booster
I do
32.5: 12
37.5: 10
42.5: 8
37.5: 10
32.5: 12
That's great anon, that's a lot of volume, I ll try to get to you, on my best days I do
30kg x 10
35 x 10
37,5 x 10
40 x 10
42,5 x 10
My bw is 63 kg so I'm well above my goal of OHP half of my BW and my delts are turning out great
100 kg is most i ve ever ohp'd but rn i dont think i could do more than 95 more realistically 90 honestly
Just hit 200lbs last week. I’m trying to hit 2pl8s by the end of this year
Low blood pressure?
Yeah i thought that too but BPs @ 128/71
>dizzy and light headed as frick, also when i bend over
That's probably the anticipation of getting fricked
55lbs 3×10
I'm still improving which is cool
i never do just 1 rep maxes for ohp but my 5 rep is currently at like 115
I did 115lbs for 2 today, could of maybe got a third if I had another hour of sleep though
Hit 45x8 on Monday and felt real easy, maybe had one or 2 more reps in me on a good day.
Feelsgoodman didn't have them programmed in for a while, couldn't get past 47.5 for like 3 but the break definitely helped me break the plate somehow
>ohp 60kg for 4 reps
>can't ohp 65kg for 1 rep
Stalling for over a month, fricking hell
IDK, I've only done lever machine for years because I do weighted dips and doing both at once was killing my shoulders.
When I stopped I was using 70lb DBs and my max dip was 135 added for 8 or so. I've gained some weight and gone up to 225 added for 4-5, about 405lbs total.
On the lever machine I'll do 210-235 for my sets but both lever and seated are easier.
Plus, I found the clumsiness of cleaning DBs when I did DB press mean I always started with like deficit ROM, same with incline, while starting from a rack, or even better seated with pins, can be way easier.
I always found incline db to be really easy to get in and out of position.
>do a quick calf raise and lift the weights while leaning back with a tight core
>press up as I lean back so what starts as a close grip press becomes a standard one midway
>the weights are now in the top position and I can make adjustments to my back position if needed (usually don't have to)
And I literally just reverse that to get the weights back down. I never drop them. People look at me like I'm crazy but that's just how I've always done it. I can do it with 95s no problem.
Yeah, but don't you find your push starts really low?
Maybe it's just my joint length and mobility, but DB press my hands start slightly below my shoulder or like parallel to it (I do neutral grip due to shoulder problems).
BB, which gives me shoulder issues, I start with the bar at my neck. Those few inches tend to be the shittiest ones, it's way easier on the second rep if I don't go all the way back down.
But maybe that's just neutral grip. Going all the way down with neutral grip does the same thing on incline bench, which I do regularly still, probably also because I keep my grip pretty close (also shoulders).
I used to have the same issue on OHP. I think it has something to do with the shoulder pinching a blood vessel or nerve because the weight didn't have much impact on me. To fix it, I started doing a lot of dead hangs and pull ups to help get more flexibility in the shoulder. This took about a month. From there I widened my grip on OHP to closer to my bench grip, and I started leaning back more to get the bar in front of my head easier. I can tell my technique is off if I feel it. I've since gotten to over 300.
Ah, the classic standing bench press.
>I started leaning back
>I can tell my technique is off if I feel it
>I started leaning back more to get the bar in front of my head easier. I can tell my technique is off if I feel it
>How to become a paraplegic
Sick.
All the Olympians leaned back hard when clean and press was still a competition lift (banned because it's too hard to know when it should become push press and it became all about judge cheating).
The record before it was removed was 236kg, which oddly seems above anything being done today. Might be more strict on movement and lean.
Here is 502lbs, still pretty strict on momentum, plenty of lean: https://youtu.be/3nJrYPVJ88M
some gymbro was repping 125kg in the bench next to me while i was front squatting 70 kilos. I lifted the bar clean without the bounce. this guy is doing.
abt 100kg bench and 190 DL bw is 86kg, been working out for 5 months and made no progress. since January
Lmao. God dam man. Why cant any of you just accomplish this weight when doing an overhead press correctly?
nice incline fat moron
Idk why everyone’s being a dickhead about form. 3 pl8 overhead press is nuts. Everyone who ohp that much leans back
>Idk why everyone’s being a dickhead about form.
because they're trying to invalidate a man's greatness (which is textbook feminine behavior, on brand for chanposters)
Dammit anon
That's called a Standing Bench Press.
When the bar goes up over your head, your head faces forward, not your head pulling trying to bend backwards
He is "standing bench pressing" double your bench 1rm.
See the issue?
The issue being his terrible form
It's impossible to press serious weight like that without leaning back, not only are you DYEL but you skipped high school physics. You'd just topple forwards if you tried. You need to lean back to counterbalance the weight. Black person.
Correct, it is impossible to OHP that amount of weight without having shitty form. What's the issue exactly?
if it's not judged in a PL comp, I ain't training it brother
180lbs @ 180lbs
mirin
Holy shit didn't even notice my digits
I can only do 75lbs consistently but I am woman.
>but I am woman
Currently 260, but I am trying to lose weight. I am also 6 feet tall.
>but I am woman.
Post body
Aint much, but I think I am off to a good start.
Unpost body
what the hell
I am vomit
don't flex your arm ever again please
Too bad. I'm going to get in shape, so give me some more hate to motivate me.
Mirnin arms bro, how much you curl?
I mainly do barbell only exercises, no dumbells. I can curl small bar 45lbs though consistently. I can only bench up to around 100-115.

Good luck on your weightlifting journey
Thanks, I hope yours goes well too.
Don’t listen to the haters. Good work. Keep it up.
I like a girl who knows her way around a funnel cake. I’d like to see you on my toilet eating a rueben
We're all gonna make it brah
Keep up the good work, you'll be gigastacy in no time
How can a girl just starting have bigger arms than me wtf
I was 165-170 when pressing 70lb DBs (standing). I'm 5'11. I was quite lean at the time though.
I am 185ish now doing 235 for sets with a hammer machine. My dips for 5 reps has probably gone from like 315ish (added weight + body) to 405lbs since then.
I only do OHP as an accessory though. 140-235 seems like a lot but DBs are way harder than BB which is harder than lever, and seated is easier than standing.
Hello.
200lb manlet checking in at 120lb ohp 3x5
My goal is 150 this year. Feeling confident i will breeze past it.
It is my favorite lift by far
145*5
135*8
I have been lifting for 2-3 years
I OHP 165x6. I do this cuck lift once in a blue moon lol
>210lbs 6’2” gonna cut soon
I've never attempted max OHP but I can do 55lbs 4 x 15 no problem.
bw: 70-74ish kg
88kg bodyweight and do 57.5kg for 5 on my heavy week. Running 531 so I'm not sure of my actual 1rm rn.
iam(
) and i when i ohp d 2pl8s i weighed 107 kg(iam now 93).... but iam also tall so not that fat
420
105 lbs for 5 reps. but to be fair im only 136 lbs
Btw whenever I OHP I lose my footing and have to hold the bar over my head an extra few seconds as I readjust my footing. How do I stop this from happening?
Why is everyone so dyel? Ive been training OHP for about 1 month and already hit 1 plate for reps
Low glucose?
I've hit 1 plate for 6 but have started doing thrusters for singles and going up pretty quickly. I'm trying to get to 140lbs on the bar.
>started doing thrusters for singles
thrusters or push press??
Last i checked 245 x1 im 255lb so not that impressive. I hope more now since that was a few months ago.
>so not that impressive
You fat moron, that's literally more than 99% of the world population
and yet i still feel small at golds in venice 🙁
47,5x5
40kg and stuck like this for 9 months, literally zero improvement from when I started out. I can do 40kg for 3x5, but even 42,5 I will fail the third set at like the second rep. I told myself if this still hasn't changed in 3 months I'll swap ohp for incline bench and dumbell flies, frick this gay exercise. It's literally the only exercise that legitimately is a chore to do.
>dizzy
anything related to dizzyness is low blood pressure. Lift heavier and eat more, but as long as you don't feel like you will pass out soon, it's no big deal. Better low than high bp.
240 lbs @ 6'8" 240
Trying to explore the natty limits of ohp strength without bloating up
vid? i'd be really interested to see this. from one lanklet to another
16kg 3 reps kettlebell, so its harder than regular. Probably 25kg for 3 and 30kg for 1 if lucky with form. Overhead strength just ain't my game... More Con/Dex than Str/Con build. Not that kind of a barbarian.
80kg x 5 was the highest I got when I still fell for this meme exercise
185x1, 170x4, about 225 if I push-press. Still can't bench lmao2pl8 though
My OHP has always been woman-tier moronic, but I'm only starting to realise now that it might be a mobility issue. I literally cannot get my arms far back enough to lock out in the right position. That means I'm obviously pushing from a very inefficient position with a big moment arm.
How do I fix my shoulder mobility for OHP?
Idk. Like 90 pounds, 4x8-12
my current working sets are 70kg x 15, but I just dropped the volume back down from 60kg x 25.
Finally got to 50Kg 3x5 so there's that
1 plate for 5 reps
6' 180lbs
100lbs 3x5 and 80lbs 4x8
I've been lifting for 2 years
Currently doing 50kg x 10 reps for 4 sets as I type this.
I got 135 lbs for 10 at the end of summer but switched my focus to bench so now idk
65kg for a double. Tried 70 but almost passed out before getting half way. 77kg bw
I can do 2x50lbs dumbbells for 8 reps, not sure if that would be more or less with a barbell
You would likely do more with barbell. Dumbbells are harder due to needing a lot more stabilizers to help.
Not necessarily, since a lot of people do dumbbell presses along the side of their heads, elbow flared out with half ROM and seated (i.e. creating a slight incline)
If you do the db press with full rom and standing it's usually the same, but I know people who do 40kg seated db presses for reps yet struggle with 60kg barbell ohp
Hit 75 kilo 1RM recently, can do 70 kilox2 consistent and 3x5 65 kilo as work set @85 kilo BW
Not extremely impressive but i get lots of mires doing OHP in my gym.
165 at 5’11
115lbx6
you with your sexy little narrow waist again
1 rm of 142 lb
I weigh 190
Took years for me to figure out the importance of volume for this stuborn lift (1x3.5rm, 4x10.5rm, 3-4x per week on top of additional benching and accessory work).
72.5kg (159.84 lbs) for 1 strict rep while weighing 77kg (169.76lbs).
135 lbs. I can only do it for 2 reps so I kept doing them until I get to 5-10.
I can do 170 for 5 but only 3 for 175
Dehydration. Like 80% of americans are chronically dehydrated
OHP 115x5 max. Usually I work in the 75-95 lb range.
im a bit of a noob. but was doing 5x90lbs and wasnt going up, so i just backed off too 75 lbs and and 80lbs for volume. hope i can be comfortably doing reps of 95 lbs by end of march; and then 115 by june/july
I did 75kg for 3 yesterday. Feeling breddy gud.
77.5 plates each side on the smith machine seated. It seems like the key for going heavier is a wider stance with arm placement
I would have disagreed with you since going more narrow has helped me reach 110kg ohp, but I see you have a ~3100kg ohp so I can only kneel to your wisdom
my current OHP has me on track to doing a 225lb ohp halfway through march. When this happens i'm quitting the gym forever.
my current 5/3/1 OHP programming*
145 pounds for 1RM, but I've just been focusing on it and am a gym newbie. 1pl8 OHP is by far the easiest of 1/2/3/4
90 lbs for 10 reps. I'm obviously dyel
75kg at 80kg. I really want to hit bodyweight but it takes a while
226 lb for 1, 205 lb for 5, 270 bodyweight
My 1RM probably hasn't changed much(around 135) but after losing weight with cardio I can't do the 135lbs clear anymore. Working back up. Currently doing 115 for 7 reps.
170 for 2 reps and that was enough. I worked during the day and couldn't be wrecked every week...
Op did u get the vaxx?
My older sis got the full shit.
And of course she was a facebog gaygiss and proudly antitrump and provaxx.
She just had a stroke in January '23.
She said she had been having migraines, other headaches.
Like since last summer after her shot or booster or something.
And a week before stroke sharp pain right at the top of her head.
I don't know anon, good luck.
T. Never vaxxed, never boostered, never covid tested.
