        Not saying that what's in the video is right, although after my usual summer cut I am actually planning to try it out. I'm currently at 163lbs on a 1800 calories diet and going down to 1400 per day by july and will then gradually go back up and monitor in order to only get muscle gains and bring my calories back up to something more fun as 1400 calories per day sucks.

        However, to get back to the point, I use a scale and literally measure everything I eat, fruits, yogurt, pastas, rice, name it. And I find it's actually easy to do.

        Is it tedious? For sure, but not hard. Of course, in terms of how much energy you burn, that could definitely vary so the impracticality would come from there mostly, not from the food intake imo.

        I've had 4 bulking and cutting cycles and here's the approach i found to be most successful
        > eat as much fricking meat and eggs as you can stomach
        > 10 (not raw) eggs a day every day
        > aim for 500g of steak every day (minced meat doesn't count because it's too easy to scarf down)
        >carbs every 3rd day
        > yes, it's what Vince Gironda was doing, except he ate even more

        It's fricking hard to eat and you feel so full afterwards. Your strength goes up too.
        But here's the kicker:
        >You don't gain weight (fat)!!!
        In fact i lost some weight in the first week of doing this.
        Then after a month of following this diet i gained like 1 kilo maybe. And keep in mind i felt STUFFED the entire time.

        So my takeaway is: dont bulk with rice, potatoes or any other carbs. Eat a frickton of meat and eggs instead.
        (Yes, it can be expensive, but dont be a brokie).
