5x5 19 kg because I just started and that's what the program says to do at first. I found it the most challenging exercise despite the small weight, I guess my delts are weak as frick.
If you're asking about 1 rep max, I don't know because I refuse to do shit like that

Cut down on the weight a bit to increase reps. 1-5 is going to be more hypertrophy than overall strength. You could do one day lighter and one day heavier to have a nice balance.

I use dumbbells so I imagine I could do more with a barbell.
My wrists couldnt handle 65 dumbbells so after getting somwhat hurt I went to barbell, no pain with barbell, still building back up 110 this morning.

I haven't tested my 1RM but I could probably do 135 in a pinch, maybe more. I can do 105 for reps without an issue and my other pressing exercises are ~225
I just got back into lifting a few months ago after 2 years off and I am looking at it positively... I have a chance to start off again from scratch and learn how to do everything correctly

I've done 115lbs for 5x5, almost two stone from my BW.
Usually do high rep dumbell Arnold presses with dumbbells but did OHPs for the first time since I started. Got 3x5 reps of 50kg. Hitting 1 plate should be ridiculously easy, especially considering I'm lean and weak rn. Literally sub 80kg at 6'2.

I'm doing 35lb dumbell presses 3x5 and managed a 110lb barbell press without as much difficulty as I expected.
I used to be able to do 135lb, but I'm near the ass end of my cut rn and I def can't do that atm. Rn I'm at like 115 lb for reps, 5x5. Might be able to 1rm a pl8 still, but def can't pull it for reps so I don't count it.
115 for reps and I don't bother trying for 1RMs. My goal is to be up to a full plate by the end of the year. Think it's plenty achievable if I work hard

160 1RM, standing, strict, at 160 bodyweight
165 lbs for 3 reps, failed at 1x170. fricking muscles, how do them work. at 175lbs bw.
Currently it’s around 45kg/100lbs for 6 reps, the program I use for logging estimates something around 5ish kilos. I love this lift like you couldn’t believe, the fact that is goes up so slowly lets me iron out the kinks in my form and it’s just straight up fun to lift stuff above my head. I know I could probably get 50/55kg above my head with leg drive, but I suck at producing good leg drive I think, since I only did them for a month to overload my shoulders on the negative and get my OHP up.
Any anons have tips for OHP? I swallowed the Boogs’s OHP pill and for the first time I became somewhat aesthetic, but Eric is more of a motivational guru rather than a trainer for me, so most of my little tips and tweaks I had to come up with myself.

During warm ups control your form as best as possible, focus on the negative and on getting the bar path as straight and yourself as steady in your stance
The “get your head under the bar asap” works, it helps incredibly
If you have the flexibility, don’t be afraid to bend under the bar in your torso
Fricking squeeze your ass and quads, every day I have a shit time OHPing I find I can’t flex my ass and legs good and I tend to fidget.

yeah, there was a thread about deload weeks today, I definitely need some rest. I was consistently training with 2day rest days since november. it was pretty much fine for a good while but now I feel that I cant even begin the weeks training because of so much fatique.

It's great for completely isolating your delts and triceps. You should be doing it as well as regular standing OHP.
