How often do you speak to another person at your gym? I had someone work in a set with me like 3 months ago, before that I hadn't spoken to anyone in at least 2 years.

I've probably spoken to someone like 5 times at the gym in all of my time being there at around 1.5 years of attendance

    >random friendly mexibro strikes up small talk. he seemed so nice
    >some dude in the bathroom while I was washing my hands told me that his wife said she wished his arms looks like mine. Said I had guns. He replies, "I love you too honey". Weird interaction. Told him I'm not big (definitely not big or in shape) leave awkwardly as he doesnt say anything else at all. Just went silent
    >saw some dude that I went to a tech college with for like 1 semester. say hi. he doesn't remember me (good)
    >some monster smith benching 340 asks me for a spot. talked for 2 seconds.
    >random old lazy working out with a super fat rider powerlifter asks me why I have a chain

    I think that's literally it.

Why are you content with being a mediocre background character in other people’s lives?

Because he's not a validation needing gay

I don't talk to people because I don't want to, moron. I don't participate in society as a whole. I don't want friends. I don't want a girlfriend. I don't want to be entangled in the horseshit that people bring to the table. People are often way more trouble than they are worth. As other anon

Because he's not a validation needing gay

has said, I don't need validation. My sense of worth is not determined by the opinions of others. To me, they are nothing more than ghosts. They don't even exist. I might speak to someone and interact with them one time and never do so again. IST and talking to immediate family is about as close as I'll come to interacting with people and that's about as much interaction as I want. People suck all. Humans in general disgust me. Frick em all. I just want to lift in peace. I want nothing more that is beyond myself.

I am a legitimate psychopath. People mean nothing to me. I don't care about them. Not joking. Not doing the edgy teenager thing. I'm a legitimate literal textbook psychopath. I barely have any emotions at all. If everyone on the planet died it would be the same to me as if a star exploded somewhere in a diatant galaxy. Doesn't have anything to do with me and I don't care. As long as I have a place to sleep, can eat, lift, and entertain myself somehow then that's really all I care about.

There's a cutie who keeps trying to get me to join her lessons but I can’t.
Pretty much everyone else is deeply autistic. There's this one old lady who does 4 reps of something at one end of the gym and does the same at the other end. She keeps passing by my treadmill and looks at me like I raped her cat.

You dont want to talk to anyone there because you'll end up having to interact with them every single time you're at the gym

It gets old fast, especially when I just want to get my shit done and leave, I dont go there to socialize.

Im a bodybuilder, so I need a real gym, otherwise id just lift at home like powershitters do. Powershitters just need a power rack & barbell & some plates and they're good. Unfortunately as a bodybuilder I need a large variety of machines & cables too and I dont want to fill my house with a bunch of commercial grade machines

You sound like you’re using the bodybuilder thing as a mating call so other gay bodybuilders come to your gym and make you sit on their dick when you squat

I speak with other people every time I'm at the gym unless it is empty. I ask for help because I need it. I ask to work in when all the equipment is taken. When I have gotten to know people I sometimes come over just to chat.

i remember some guy giving me form tips while i was mid set on a cable machine
i nodded my appreciation at him, but i have a bad habit of assuming people understand what that means
    i hope he realises i was grateful and wasn't being a gay ;_;

I pretty much don't talk to anyone. There are a few regulars I bump fists with but otherwise I go, I work, I leave. The only exception is when there is a new round of gym receptionists, I will make small chat and jokes and see if it goes anywhere
