No they dont. Unless you are following them around every second of the day, you have no idea what they eat.
When you see someone lean munching on a giant mcdonalds meal, theres a good chance thats all they are going to eat that day.

some people store more fat viscerally, aka around their organs, rather than under the skin, ironically, while they will look leaner at a given body fat, they also have a higher risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, a standard deviation for basal metabolic rate is like 10-15%, so that can be a factor as well.

horse shit. they don't. throughout their day, the week, the month, they don't. They might even think they do, they fricking don't. That's it. it's what all the research shows.

When I was 16 I used to pull what people thought was a magic trick.

Me, 5'10 140 lbs would eat a 16in pizza for lunch all by myself.

I did this about once a month and maintained low weight.

Fact is though I would also walk about 3 miles just to and from school and another 4 to and from work, work out and it was also probably the only thing I ate that day.

Shit isn't a mystery. It's simple CICO, thermodynamics haven't changed.

One thing though, you can only eat trash like that young and get away with it. If I did that now at 32 I'd probably shit myself and get massive heart burn.

I was fat because I ate much, much more than the homosexuals who keep saying they eat "a lot" and stay slim

they aren't, literally no one is breaking the laws of thermodynamics.
the natural range of faster and slow metabolism is like 50-100kcal. the people that are lean and eat so much either eat "so much" aka eat one big meal and then literally nothhing the rest of the day, they calculate wrong, they exercise a lot, they have elite levels of lean muscle mass etc.

      it's a complete myth.

    Depends on lifestyle.

I'm VERY sedentary. I work 8-10 hours a day on my computer. Everything is handed to me. Only time I get up to do something is when i'm lifting weights, which only lasts 30-40mins about 3x a week.

I'm "thin" but I have to eat ~1,400cal to maintain my weight. If I walked and moved throughout the day I could probably eat closer to ~1800cal.

    >despite eating so much
They don't. Lived some days in a friend's house, the very lean type. This was an average day for him:
    >small bowl of yoghurt with some nuts in it and coffee
    >rabbit legs with a bit of oil and nothing else
    >a coke
    >snacked on some chips
Frankly I'm not sure how he stands.

I can only speak for myself here.
I currently eat 4k calories, and not all of it is clean either.

My mother and father are both slim naturally for one, two, I am tall and long and all my life was very athletic and did a lot of running and swimming. When I'm in a consistent state of working out, my metabolism is like a nuclear engine and I can just eat and eat.

I think it's generally down to genes because it took me fricking ages to break 80kg and I had to stop doing cardio for a couple of weeks which pains me since I box.

My metabolism speeds up if I eat more than I need. It results in poorly digested food and sticky and gassy poop. It is still nice ability to have if I sometimes happen to eat too much or get drunk.

I know people that "eat more than me" and have seen how they eat on a regular day, usually they would skip a meal or just eat something simple when they are hungry, basically they eat a lot some days and very little other days

keep in mind these frickers snack ALL day too. I lived with fat "people" for a while. They are delusional about how much they eat, it's sad.

I'll keep repeating this, but some fat family members visited for a weekend. They literally ate a full meal two hours before eating supper. They ate multiple chocolate bars in a sitting. They constantly snacks on potato chips, candy, and cookies and that's just what I remember. They have a problem and I feel sorry that they're stuck in this loop of addiction to food like I was in the past. You can't really convince them to stop though. The worst part is that this behavior is contagious. I found myself eating more than normal simply because they were there and my wife joined them in pre-supper face stuffing. Wish them all the best.

Last night I ate something like picrel in the OP.
A bluecheese burger with chillie fries with cheese. Then I had six beers to follow.
But the difference between how I ate and fatties is that I planned on eating out and didn't eat anything all day in anticipation of a large amount of calories later.
Also eating like this is a once a week thing. For fatties it's everyday. Hell, for some fatties it's several times a day

I'm 225 solid muscle, havent lifted in months, still have visible abs. eat when i feel like it, often in excess. I drink when I feel like it, often in excess.

good genes i guess, fasting is probably the dumbest thing you can ever do if you're not actually trying to purge your system in preparation for doing a bunch of mushrooms or something. eat when you're hungry but don't eat trash, the best foods dont stop being the best foods just because it's morning or evening or midnight, maintain discipline, "snack food" is a marketting term

unironically less frequent eating. it snaps you out of the constant feed-mode which leads to overconsumption and blood sugar frickery. 1-2 meals a day are ideal, maybe 3, and either no snacking or maybe one. I tend to do 1-2 meals and one large snack/very small meal.

    also, muscle burns more calories.

high insulin sensitivity, for one. I am shocked at how many people on this board don't understand the significance of insulin sensitivity and how to keep it high... I literally got into an argument the other day with some anon who takes 187g of SUGAR (between dextrose and milk sugars) for his postworkout meal and he was struggling to understand the significance of my saying he is blowing out his insulin sensitivity and going to become very unhealthy. Short answer for you all is that if you feed constantly throughout the day--- especially if you eat lots of simple sugars--- you are going to drastically lower your insulin sensitivity and you will have a very hard time keeping fat off, maintaining lean mass, and most of all you'll be damaging your body at the cellular level by permitting chronically elevated blood sugar levels. This is why diabetes is intimately related to obesity and why they get diabetic neuropathy and have to have feet and hands amputated.

There are many strategies to keep insulin sensitivity high--- one of the best is IF and exercising fasted. The benefit of strategies like these is that it also keeps growth hormone levels high during those periods of not being fed. You can also take metformin for this, which is a diabetes drug but even some healthy people take it for its weight loss and life extension benefits

Fatty cope. They don't. Sometimes normal size people can eat a big meal, usually when they go out with frens which when people see them eat so much. Rest of the time when they are at home/work/school they eat normal amounts. Also depends what you are eating, if you are eating chicken vegetables and rice with a little olive oil or butter and some spices = less calories. But the same dish with a couple tablespoons of butter or oil and some type of heavy ass sauce, maybe some cheese = too many calories. Also people who eat more and aren't fat are active, they probably walk more, have an active job and/or workout.

I had a roommate in uni who started the year thin, then ate pizza or McDonald's on a daily basis, put on a tone of weight and then claimed she had a thyroid problem and didn't know why she got fat. Everything is cope, learn how to properly measure your food and eat less then you will lose weight.

Because those people don’t eat as much as you think. People wonder how I can go out drinking and munch on pizza afterwards and still have 6 pack abs and good physique and muscle definition,
but the reality is is that I only do that once every 1-2 weeks. And the other 95% of days I have a healthy diet and consistent gym routine.

When you see some Chad chugging beer and wonder how he can do that and still be fit, it’s this and also because Chad has a natural good physique from a lifetime of sports.
