How the frick am I supposed to do 30 minutes of cardio everyday if I have to get to job at 10:30am?
I'm waking up at 6am, but by the time I get to the gym it's already 7am (gotta eat, brush teeth, walk to gym), my lifting takes atleast 1hr30min, that's already 8:30am, 30min cardio it's 9am, I'd get home by 9:20, then id have to shower, eat again which is already 10am.
>go earlier
My gym opens at 6am.

How? Are you roiding? Do you go to the gym every single day? Because if you're not roiding and going to the gym everyday and taking this long, you must be following a really terrible program.

It's a 5x day split, supposed to be 6x but I don't do legs on Saturday.
Monday for example is chest/back, flat bench, incline dumbbell bench, pec deck fly. Then I do another 3 for back.
Mostly of it is 4xReps, should I just do 3x instead?

        >atleast 1hr30min
        >It's a 5x day split
Are you roiding? If not you are completely wasting your time with that, it's way too much.

          >5x day split
yea spending 7h30m in the gym every day is too much I agree

Absolutely. You can cut 25% by just doing 3 sets for the same result if not maybe even better. The fact that you are doing 4 sets means that you are likely sandbagging your sets and doing trash volume. Lift 3x and more weight = more gains and takes 25% less time.

not OP, but my lifting sessions also take 1h30m, and i'm like barely out of the "novice" stage. I go 3x a week, i'm doing 5/3/1 for beginners, a routine recommended on /r/fitness. Usually takes me closer to 2 hours. I'm not sure if it's due to waiting for equipment or if i'm doing something wrong, but even at my fastest it's close to 1h30m minimum. What am i doing wrong / what is a better routine? Thanks.

That's pretty normal in my experience, especially if you're actually trying.

lol Black person, roiders get out of the gym faster with their accelerated recovery time they dont even have to rest between sets they can just blast exercise after exercise

Why are you eating before and after the gym?

      Anonymous

I shouldn't? If I don't eat before I feel like I'm too weak, I eat after the gym because I don't like eating lunch at work so I just fast for 8 hours and get dinner at 7pm.

turn your cardio into 10k steps per day, if you have sitting job just go outside on break and walk, moron

more intense cardio you can do on weekends or gym rest days if you feel like doing so

      It's a physical ish job

You dumb fricker just wake up 30 minutes earlier. If you don't want to do the cardio that's fine but don't lie to yourself like it's a time issue you can't solve.

You are probably right but it'd be really tight

You can have a decent home gym for 500 over two years if you buy used as it shows up.

Makes sense. I have only been working out seriously for several months but so far I'm satisfied with a weight bench and curl bar which are cheap. Even pushups are underrated as frick.

if youre not doing cardio then get $4 slip-ons, the soles are so thin theres nothing to compress. for squats if you have bad ankle mobility you could put your heels on a weight plate to elevate them

    1. Wake up at 5 dumbass
    2. Don't eat in the morning. Brushing your teeth takes 3 minutes, now all you need to do is walk to the gym.
    3. Stop fricking around on your phone, it doesn't take 90 minutes to lift, you just take stupidly long rests, superset as needed.

    >I'd get home by 9:20, then id have to shower, eat again which is already 10am.

Holy frick just shower at the gym and go directly to work, eating a meal I packed you. Look at that I just saved you an hour right there, really like 3 looking at everything else

    Obviously: run there and back.

Cuts down on warmup time too
You'll turn 40 minutes of walking and 20 minutes of warmup into 15 minutes of running. Just gave you 45 minutes extra in your mornings
