How the frick do retards even manage to get fat?

How the frick do morons even manage to get fat?
I've just relapsed from my fasting and ate 3 mortadella sandwiches in a row - I'm full of guilt and feeling like shit, but turns out that if you calculate the calories I'm still in a 800kcal deficit.
And yet, you see biggers not only reach but also maintain 400lbs without even trying.
Wtf?

Most people are fat, the world is getting fatter, you're the odd one out if you struggle to gain fat

For me personally I am part of the majority who will gain fat if I just eat by natural urges

Thus, I track my calories and maintain a visible set of 6 pack abdominal muscles year round. 99.99% of the human population is unwilling to track calories everyday for the rest of their life, thus they will always be fat and get fatter.

If I stopped tracking calories, within 6 months I will go from 10% bodyfat to 25%, very easily.

things in your life aren't good, maybe it's the weight itself or something else but you start eating too much and then your body starts looking terrible
and then a lot of people fall into this vicious cycle of:
      >i feel bad about eating so much
      >which makes me feel bad, so to cope, i eat more
      >which makes me gain weight and it makes me feel bad about myself
      etc etc. repeat the loop

this accounts for like 90% of extremely obese people, i'm pretty sure
if they were happy in their life, they wouldn't be like this, the underlying problem is something they must solve or deal with

people who are a bit overweight and similar are NOT what we're talking about here and it also includes this guy
people who are 400lbs+ are EXTREMELY FAT

      >dude I have to log my protein pop tart into my corporate food tracking app or else I’ll get fatttt!
Sad tbh, people didn’t have to do this in the past

that anon is a bit silly, yes people are getting fatter but he's overestimating
when people tell you to count calories, you don't HAVE to count every single little thing precisely nor really every food; the point is to become aware what foods are very calorie rich but don't satiate you and what foods are the opposite and how to balance your hunger/desire for both

People in the past didn't have gorillians of 10,000 different tasty food choices available to try

Look at all of these native populations the moment they get out of the bush and into modern society, they all get addicted to drugs, alochol, or become fat fricks

Its a lot easier to stay lean when your only food options is a handful of meat and a few berries and some bugs here or there.

Our bodies are all different. Some people have better vision than others. Some people are taller than others. Some people have different hunger signaling hormones than others. You are lucky that your body doesn't tell you you're hungry very much or very often. Unfortunately many people, myself included are like

      >I am part of the majority who will gain fat if I just eat by natural urges
I'm always hungry, all the time, even if I've just eaten, regardless of what I've just eaten. If I eat a 24oz steak and serving bowl of mashed potatoes, almost four pounds of food with over 2700 calories in it, I'm still hungry. Because of this I have to go hyper autist and hard count calories and basically never eat. If you're not hungry, consider yourself lucky.

It's just like working out, but the opposite. You need to train your body to eat more and more, every day you eat until you're uncomfortably full because you're filling a void and your stomache enlarges so you think you need more and more. Just like a gymcel who fills the hole by lifting more weights hoping to get a gf instead of fixing the actual problem, how they view themselves and the world around them. You need to fail to succeed, failure isn't constant if you don't give up but it's a necessary part of growth

Now imagine you did that but with something that has 1000 calories, drinking a large soda on top of it, and then doing the equivalent of that every day. That's how people get fat

It is actually easy once it becomes a habit. You gotta put in the effort in the first weeks, tho.
              >good on you though, keep doing that
Thanks bro, good luck to you too.

i've lost weight before but the form is never there, i don't exercise a lot and i'm struggling to find a routine with that

i'm trying to at least do couch to 5k every week now, or even more than that, run every day in the evening or something
                >Being a spooky skeleton sucks, I don't know why you'd want to be 130lbs unless you do a sport with weight classes.
makes it easier for guys to pick you up and i feel lighter personally
i used to be like 200lbs lol, then last spring i fell down to like 165lbs, this spring i fell down to 155lbs and i'm trying to hit like 130 or maybe 140-ish

    >How the frick do morons even manage to get fat?
Years of not giving a frick coupled with high calorie density foods. Potato chips and soda is immensely easy to go through in terms of stomach volume. Eventually your stomach stretches to accommodate huge helpings and then it's easy.

people eat junk food and snack
When you gatekeep yourself behind rice(any natty carb) and meat/beans you cant really get fat - stuffing your stomach untill bursting gives you what? just over 1200kcal? eat that twice a day and if you're training you'll never gain weight, youll probably lose weight
all the fat people I know drink soda and eat junk

      >ib4 its disgusting
seasonings and vegetables are almost no kcal, the more you add the better actually because its less kcal than the rice/meat so youll eat less of that

I cant eat mortadella because it has nuts in it. tbh sucks ass trying to be fit and healthy when I can't eat out at any "healthy" places and cant eat protein bars or anything like that. Every health/fitness person eats nuts and they are in every juice bar place or in protein snacks and stuff. I have to cook all my own food (which is probably even healthier) but damn sometimes at the gym I wish I could get a nice smoothie or something or eat a protein bar but I can't (I have to make my own protein bars out of oats and then bring them in ziplock baggies).

So consider yourself lucky that you can even eat random sandwiches without worrying about dying, homosexual. Stop being a fricking pussy and just don't shovel them into your mouth. Have ONE and stop. Swear to god.

Mostly oil. A portion of traditionally made pizza is like 250 calories, while a portion of fast food pizza drenched in oil is like 750, and you will eat like 3 or 4 of them for the same satiety.

The rise of obesity coincides with the rise of deep fried shit and people stopping to cook for themselves, while restaurants compete with each other to make their foods mroe and more addictive, which means more calorie dense foods, since our monkey brains are hardwired to love that shit.

For me it's about just eating nonstop. I would eat massive portions every meal (2 normal sized sandwiches plus fries and a soda became normal), drink soda, eat about 1500 cals worth of sweets a day (surprisingly easy to do), and then just nonstop random snacks throughout the day. Most days I was above 6000 calories and the weight gain wasn't even that fast

I was young once. I could eat literally anything and my weight would not budge from 135lbs, which, for 6'1, is unaesthetically skinny.
And then age caught up with me. My metabolism decided it didn't need to try quite as hard, and my weight slowly increased to 225lbs.
Now it's taking conscious effort on my part to bring that back down, which is clearly not as fun. On the plus side, I look like a properly inflated human bean now, and if nobody lifts my shift, you can barely tell I'm a fat sac of flab.
