But the only protein I get is from eggs (scrambled), banana smoothies and milk. No meat at all because it's disgusting

But it clearly isn't enough considering I'm underweight

Have you considered thinking meat is disgusting is part of your disorder

          No shit, sherlock

the entire psychology profession needs to be rounded up and sent to the gulag. They've gone completely off the rails.

You need to be an adult and eat, bro.

No pain no gain. Nobody tells you this but lifting is by far the easiest part, fun even. The painful and hard part is eating. Eat just under the threshold of throwing up and then pile more food on as soon as there's room. Keep this up for week after week to maybe gain 3lbs a month. Once you hit a normal bmi eating enough to stay sick constantly is just maintenance. I'm pretty sure the only way to get fat or muscle at a bmi over 20 is with extremely heavy drug use.
Heavy cream and Ice cream makes it slightly easier. Ice cream is harder to force down than heavy cream but you really need the carbs to spike insulin. Cream by itself is just a little bit of calories. You can mix both with milk at 1:1:1 ratio for a pretty good shake.

first, thank you for making this thread, i didnt know that this actually counted as a disorder and it was a reality slap to take it seriously. its useful for cutting, but not for surviving.
now, i dont eat things because either theres no food, theres a texture thing, its too rich a food, or the physical sensation of chewing and eating is horrible. knowing what foods arent subjected to the texture thing means i can stock up, and i find having protein shakes on hand can help me make up the difference when i cant handle eating. its just trial and error, figuring out why you dislike it and working around limits.

Well shit, guess I really should just bite the bullet and start taking protein shakes.

Literally just get used to it. Try a little everyday, start with tolerable stuff like chicken sausages or a chicken soup so you dont have to bite it and you can ass bread so as to not tell chicken from bread.
      t. Couldnt eat a single leafy green, nor most raw foods until my fiance broke up with me over it and I forced myself to enjoy it to get her back

thanks for the advice, but my own current difficulties is being too poor, i was more trying to help op. i cant cook due to a broken stove and only having a toaster oven+microwave, and im the caretaker of my disabled mom, so theres no time to cook to begin with.
i only consumed 400 calories yesterday, because i had to save my other microwave pot pie for today. i can only eat overnight oatmeal after that pie is done. i cant afford anymore protein shakes. sorry for ranting, its just been rough recently.

I also hate how every little thing nowadays is considered a "disease", but it's definitely something that affects a lot of people, including me

Did I tell you this in the other thread or.. bc it is a serious condition and you should really see a therapist or find a residential program for eating disorders. If you can't eat, you will die.
