Tighten your hamstrings and have a posterior pelvic tilt. Then contract your abs to pull the wheel in.

they're doing it wrong in the picture, letting the back arch like that puts the emphasis on the lats turning it more into an upper body exercise

Its a meme exercise for women
If you want abs do weighted situps, leg raises
These are just a meme and mostly work lats. It’s the kind of trash that’s pushed by personal trainers to make things unnecessarily complicated

Just do sititups you dumbass. Do you ever see people with chiseled abs using one of those stupid things?

I thought this was a meme but no-one told me back damage was silent until it isn't. Always thought I'd stop if i got a sore back but then one day doing weighted sit ups slipped a disc. Admittedly my form was probably poor but still.

I do the 5/4/3/2/1 routine for abs. 500 dragon flags, 400 standard sit-ups, 300 weighted sit-ups, 200 inverted hanging shrimp pullbacks and 100 vertical planks for 30 seconds each. (the shrimp pullbacks and vertical planks can only be done with rings). I love sit-ups. LOVE.

      >weighted situps
      bad for your back
      >leg raises
      train only your abs
      >mostly work lats
only if you have bad form

    What color is your abwheel?

  8. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

Bro, ab wheel is another meme isometric. Just look at that picture. There's maybe a 20deg (at most) flexion of the hip there, and the core is perfectly straight. 90% of the movement is lats.

Just stop being a homosexual and do hanging leg raises and weighted crunches.

Situps are not bad for your back but its easy to mess up proper form and end up doing them in bad form which is bad for your back. Do hanging leg raises instead and planks .

your arms would be straight if you were doing them right and your back is part of the core
all you people are morons. nothing burns your abs up like the ab wheel
