Steroids don't magically create protein out of nothing. If Clarence can do that on a vegan diet I think that proves it's easy for vegans to get all the protein they need.

        >Steroids don't magically create protein out of nothing.
steroids incredibly increases protein synthesis, not even comparable to a natty guy eating the exact same diet.
and of course clarence can get a decent amount of protein in, he tracks everything and has a decent planned diet but it is simply a fact it's much harder to get enough protein as a vegan, even because protein absorption from plants suck ass compared to meat, dairy and eggs. When we are talking about the average pedestrian, even a guy that eats meats and eggs eats a moronicly low amount of protein, I'd guess if they reach 100g a day it's a lot, now imagine the average ignorant vegan in this scenario... all vegan foods are poor in protein, micronutrients and vitamins, and a lot of times people can't even absorb the little that is in vegan food.
Vegan diets only "works" for so long if you know what you are doing but even then, this type of shit happens

I'm not keto but I don't understand this vegan obsession with keto and "ketotards". It's to the point where they instantly reveal themselves as vegans when they use this terminology. I find it interesting that's all.

Why do they have such a fixation on carbohydrates? It's almost religious, like they NEED to destroy anyone who talks about nutrition if they aren't consuming lots of carbohydrates. There are lots of simple facts like the fact that a lot (most) micronutrition is in fats, and specifically animal fats. Doesn't mean you should go keto but it's something to keep in mind. And yet just pointing out a fact like this makes those sorts of people absolutely seethe. And I don't know why there are so many of them here, on what is meant to be a fitness board? It's kinda like how /misc/ has hundreds of these NAFO trannies.

The standard American diet is 90% plant based. No centenarians eat these degenerate plant based diets. They all consistently eat a lot more animal foods than the modern person, if you actually look at what they eat. The healthiest people in any part of the world are those who eat a greater proportion of high quality animal foods, whether it's the French and Italians, Okinawans, or people from Hong Kong and Korea. Plant based diets lead to sickness, infertility and shortened lifespans.

Adequate intake is meaningless. It is just the average daily intake of a population sample with no symptoms of deficiency. Because choline deficiency is extremely rare, AI for choline is basically just the amount you'd get from the standard amerifat diet of fried animal products x 3 daily. They don't. The only way they can get complete aminos in a more bioavailable form is from powders, and then it isn't in an ideal ratio. The less stupid vegans quit pretty early on because they realise there's nothing healthy or natural about needing to consume powders for protein, and pills for micronutrients. All while telling yourself how "nutrient dense" your diet that is mostly painfully excreted is.

Traditional eating is the way to go. Just go ask your grandmother what a meal should look like.

      >more bioavailable form
Your premise is flawed therefore your conclusions are wrong. Bioavailability means nothing because the protein requirement for a normal person is less than 50 grams a day
      >yeah but if you wanna lift
Literally all meat eating lifters take protein.

lmao. I have never even seen a study with a lower bound protein suggestion that low for a grown man. Great way to end up looking like Greger.

        >Literally all meat eating lifters take protein.
I don't. I don't know anyone who does. Fart powder for meat-eaters is a matter of a marketing gimmick. Meat is a far superior source of protein. For vegans it is absolutely essential for their diet. You can look at any ex-vegan testimonial and they are ALL taking tons of powders and pills, it's a diet for people completely disconnected from nature and their own bodies. Typically women, or beta males, who watched too many propaganda documentaries and who were raised on modern diets. The pattern is always the same.

Post a study showing that 50g is required for optimal protein synthesis for adult men. I'm not saying I'm right because I haven't seen it, I'm saying you're wrong because you're full of shit and pulling up a number out of thin air, a number which I've only ever seen vegans invoke in their propaganda.

Lol, lmao, this is honestly the most backwards-ass shit I have read in weeks. Pure delusion. You are beyond help.

That's not an argument. The macro breakdown of the standard american diet is not a matter of opinion, it is fact. It is almost entirely plant based. A whopper burger is 65% plant based. Just the burger. Add in fries and the meal is 90%+ plant based. That's your American diet. Doesn't matter if its pizza, or a hot dog meal, or snacks or sodas or anything else Americans consume, it's almost entirely plant-based. You're a useful idiot for the forces behind this.

The universal minimum is .36g per pound. You'd know that if you read any medical literature

We aren't talking about minimums Einstein. You can survive on almost zero protein, for over a year. This is a fitness board, we are concerned with that which is optimal. 50g is pathetically low and no studies find such a value to be optimal. Try harder.

If you're consuming a nutrient above the survival threshold, you're still deficient. Until you consume a nutrient to the point where any more would have no additional positive effect, you're deficient.

My vegan cousin had a kid (after multiple failed pregnancies) and this whose now 3 is missing every developmental milestones, is unbelievably short to the point they say they're going to put him on HGH (because that's normal and natural right?), he is allergic to basically every nut as well as dairy and kale for some reason (I didn't even know you can be allergic to kale), and he's... stupid. I know he's a toddler but he's noticably is worse at communicating and maintaining balance. This idiot cousin of main basically damned a kid to a life of misery to save animals or something dumb like that. For a while she was against feeding him meat despite the fact doctors were telling her he needed to eat meat for nutrients given how poor of a state he was in.
I will never respect vegans. I unironically see you the as the same as a religious cult.

moron post. For every vegan story you have (assuming you aren't just lying) I can pull 20 omnivore stories of the same or worse. Maybe your cousin is a dipshit just like you?

In general vegans enjoy superior health compared to your average omnivore (and no, I'm not talking about a McDonalds diet). Only diet in the same ballpark is a Mediterranean/ pescetarian diet.

You really can't, it would likely kill you in short order, holy shit how moronic are you people. Beans are toxic, pretty much all of them, thorough cooking is the only way to denature the lectins to the point where the beans are more or less safe, but eating a kilogram a day is a terrible idea.

    They eat.

    Alot.

    That's the catch.

I'm not going to say it's impossible, but if you're looking to put on weight, muscle in particular, you are going to have to ingest a metric frickton of plant based food stuffs. You'll be uncomfortable, and you're going to stink on account of the indigestible fiber fermenting in your gut, which is part and parcel of the aforementioned plant based food stuffs. I speak from personal experience. That's not to mention all the extra bulk you find in your stool as a direct result, which, if you're not careful will result in hemorrhoids and/or fissures.

Alternatively, you could try something less manic, like the vertical diet, which is easier on you're digestive track. Easy, simple calorie dense food, and your peers wont have (extra) reasons to avoid you. You know. Because of the stench.

Veganism isn't a real diet choice and it's stupid to talk about it rationally. It's a pseudo-religious lifestyle practice for fatherless weirdos and you either "get it" or you don't. Just let them be weird in their gay little corner and promptly send them back to it if they try to wander into an adult conversation.
