Lactose free doesn't actually get rid of the lactose, they just add the lactase enzyme so you can digest the lactose.

I do some part-time work at a vending company and always drink two of the chocolate ones when I show up (owners fine with it) Taste pretty good and definitely helping with my gains

Classic 4chins. It has higher protein because the “filtration” process they use removes the lactose and some of the water from the milk. They skim off some of the fat just like with 1% or 2% to leave a product that has no lactose, a higher concentration of protein, and the same fat.
No additional protein is added.

And don't get any ideas about doing so, unless you add a significant amount of water with it. I got the bright idea to put a single scoop of whey in 2 cups of it with some ice. Gave it a horrible sugar free-flan sort of consistency.
what brand whey are you adding? I add ON and it mixes fine with regular whey + milk consistency
